Not trustworthy
Terrible experience and not trustworthy. One of my affiliates moved his program to Creem. When I created my account, I was asked to enter my US bank information which I did. But then it wanted me submit biometric data to verify my identity. I am sorry, but for a few bucks that I earn from an affiliate program, I am not going to give an Estonian company my biometric data! There was no other option to verify so I decided to cancel my account with them and asked them to erase my data under the GDPR. They refused, saying that Anti Money Laundering regulations supercede GDPR and they were unable to delete my bank account information. I understand that they want to be compliant, but in my case the business relationship was never concluded and not a single transaction occured. I had many emails back and forth with their Compliance department and they kept refusing to delete my bank information. I do not want an Estonian company who I never did any business with, to sit on my bank account information for five years. Holding raw, sensitive American bank routing and account numbers for a business relationship that was never legally completed serves no lawful compliance purpose. In the end I had to close my bank account and open a new one. And even closing my profile with Creem was difficult due to apparent "technical glitches." Not a company to be trusted.
P.S. Article 40(1) of Directive (EU) 2015/849 mandates record retention following the "end of a business relationship" or an "occasional transaction." Because I refused biometric verification, a business relationship was never legally formed. Because no funds moved, no transaction occurred. The 5-year clock under AML rules has no statutory trigger here. While I respect that Creem operates as a financial services entity, their application of AML retention laws to an unverified, zero-transaction account with an unestablished relationship is highly disproportionate. This is the same company that told me they are building a basic feature like closing an account “on the go”. It’s all very sketchy.

Terrible experience, zero transparency or useful explanations
My experience with CREEM has been extremely disappointing. After submitting my store and providing the requested business information, I received a generic rejection stating that they couldn't support my business.
No meaningful explanation. No specific compliance issue. No actionable feedback. Just a rejection with absolutely no clarity about what went wrong.
If your compliance team decides to reject a business, the bare minimum is to explain the reason. Instead, you're left guessing what the problem is and whether your application was even properly evaluated.
As an indie founder, I invest significant time building products and setting up the infrastructure needed to run a business. Being rejected without a clear explanation is incredibly frustrating and shows a lack of transparency and respect for the people trying to use your platform.
I understand that payment providers have compliance requirements, and I'm not expecting every business to be accepted. However, there is a huge difference between rejecting a business for a legitimate reason and refusing to provide any meaningful explanation.
Communication matters. Transparency matters. Treating potential customers professionally matters.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend CREEM. There are other payment providers out there, and I would encourage founders to carefully consider their options before investing time integrating with a platform that may reject them without giving them a clear reason why.

Payment processing stopped after months of use, with no clear explanation
After several months of using Creem, I was told they could no longer process payments for my business following a compliance review. They cited a change in my account’s risk profile and said the decision was final.
My dashboard showed “Business verification (KYB) — Rejected.” I asked a simple question: was the issue with my business/product, or with the company or identity documents I submitted?
Creem refused to clarify. Their reply said they could not share specifics or accept re-applications, even though I was asking for an explanation, not to reapply.
I understand that payment providers have compliance requirements. But ending a business relationship after months of use without even clarifying which category of issue caused it is deeply frustrating.
This experience has damaged my trust in Creem. Merchants need clear communication when a decision affects their ability to accept payments.

Best support in Europe
First of all, I am only starting with creem and don't have long track record with them.
However everything I've seen and used so far - is top notch. I understand that merchant providers always struggle with regulations and it's the biggest issue with SMB businesses.
Nevertheless, testing approach - top notch, easiness of setup - perfect. I am pretty sure they too many features and they work :D
The sad part came when I wanted to "enable" production mode and turns out my papers aren't enough to pass automated "screening" with one of their providers. I lost my faith at this step since this is not the first time I work through regulations and started to think about Gumroad or changing the jurisdiction, however support team was very proactive and handled everything in less than a week. I am very thankful to Eli for going through validation process with me.
I will update my feedback in 6 to 12 months, however so far it was top notch, well done.
Creeme is just another Gumroad-style…
Creeme is just another Gumroad-style scam site; like the others, they just want their cut and while the rate here is quite low, there are still hidden fees. There are also tons of fake sites using Creeme, even though they supposedly fight against that; I personally sold scam PDF files, and they went through without any issues.
Helpful support, but response times could be faster
Overall, I had a positive experience with the support team. My request required an account-level change and some ownership verification. Once it reached a human support agent, the process was clear, professional, and handled correctly.
The main drawback was the response time. The initial automated reply did not fully understand the request, and it took some additional follow-up before the issue was handled by a person.
In the end, everything was resolved as requested, and the communication was polite and helpful. A good support experience overall, with room to improve the speed of handling more specific account-related requests.

Starting out a few months ago the platform seemed to have a few bugs, they also seem to like randomly changing the ui. Overall doesn't feel like a mature product but they're also not moving quickly, theres a paypal integration in the roadmap from over a year ago (though paypal is awful platform) that hasn't been included.
The docs were helpful to get info and to help with integrating into your product easily.
Payouts are only on the 1st and 15th each month which is a little weird and you have to manually request it with no way to automatically withdraw money each two weeks.
Creem Can Destroy Your Business
Be extremely careful if you are building a business with Creem. In my experience, they can seriously damage your business and potentially leave you without the money you earned.
I spent time and money running ads, bringing traffic, and selling digital products. I successfully generated sales, only for Creem to later decide that my business was considered “high risk” and refund payments back to customers.
This meant that after putting in all the effort, advertising costs, time, and work to generate those sales, I was left with almost nothing.
What is most frustrating is that this happened after I had already invested heavily in growing my business. If they considered my business high risk, I believe this should have been made clear much earlier instead of allowing me to continue investing money and effort
Use this MoR at your own risk
Use this MoR at your own risk.
there is no dispute resolution center for merchants. If a customer opens a chargeback, you basically cannot fight it.
They also charge a flat $25 fee per chargeback. So if someone disputes a $5 payment, you lose the $5 and get charged another $25. That is a $30 loss on a $5 sale.
Now, if you are going to remove the merchant's ability to fight disputes, you should at least give them strong tools to prevent them in the first place.
There is no manual 3DS option, which is one of the most important controls a merchant can use when certain payments look risky. And there does not seem to be any serious circuit breaker when chargeback or fraud signals suddenly spike, something that could limit further exposure before the losses keep stacking up.
That is the part I find hard to justify. They control the payment flow, they control the dispute process, you cannot defend yourself properly and you absorb the chargeback plus a $25 fee.
For a Merchant of Record, that is a very one-sided risk model. The merchant carries the downside with both hands tied.

Terrible Payment Service
Terrible Payment Service, Terrible Customer Support. First they accept you and your services, You have to work hard to integrate them to your services. After all done, you will waste your time and money. At this step they start to create strange problems. Go away from this company and their services. Don't trust them to collect your money.

My website is an AI tool for removing audio noise. I integrated Creem in March of this year, and everything went smoothly until July. However, on July 17th, Creem's risk control team blocked my account citing account risk. I had approximately $8,000 in the Creem platform. After multiple communications with customer service, they refused to release the money, which is terrible.
I've seen many others in the community who have had similar experiences. I strongly advise all founders considering integrating Creem as a payment processing platform to stay away from Creem. It is a complete scam.

Great Onboarding and Solid Support Channel via Discord
The onboarding experience was a lot better than Lemon Squeezy. The staff are really responsive when issues arise. For a new MOR I think they are doing great. They aren't perfect but they do listen to their customers and incorporate new features on the regular.
**1 star
**1 star — Unfair account termination with no transparency**
I am extremely disappointed with Creem's compliance process.
I am an independent developer running a legitimate AI photo editing SaaS product (Refini). My service focuses on photo enhancement, restoration, background removal, and other image editing features. I have implemented clear Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and moderation measures to prevent abuse.
Despite this, Creem suddenly decided that they would no longer accept payments for my store. They did not provide any specific reason, any evidence of policy violations, or any actionable feedback. The only explanation was that my account presented an "unacceptable level of risk."
What is most frustrating is that there were no significant customer complaints, no chargeback issues, and only a small number of legitimate transactions. I was not given an opportunity to fix anything or provide additional clarification. The decision was simply marked as final, with no appeal process.
For small independent developers, payment providers are critical infrastructure. Blocking a merchant without explaining the actual problem can seriously impact a business that depends on your service.
I understand that payment companies need compliance policies, but a system that provides no transparency and no path to resolution is extremely disappointing.
Developers should be aware that even after investing time into compliance, their store may still be removed without clear explanation.
They're bots and thieves.
This company froze my store after one year of operation.
They froze several hundred dollars.
There are no longer any real people in customer support—just bots.
How can they talk about some checks and risks, and then steal money from clients after several months of work?
They're bots and thieves.

Founders: understand the risk before using Creem as your MoR
I'm the director of a company that used Creem (legal entity Armitage Labs OÜ) as merchant of record. I'm posting this so other founders can weigh the risk.
Creem is holding a confirmed merchant balance of around 10,000 USD belonging to my company.
Their founder confirmed there are no fines or penalties against my business and promised to revert after a thorough business review by their acquirer that should take up to 90 days.
It is now well past 90 days. My messages are being ignored, and the funds have not been released.
If you are a founder considering Creem as your merchant of record, understand that this company is acting like a bunch of crooks.
They may steal your funds, ignore your e-mails, make promises and then disappear.
