Ashish Kumar Singh heeft dit gerepostAshish Kumar Singh heeft dit gerepostWhat changes more after maternity leave? Your calendar or your perspective? For many parents, returning to work comes with excitement, uncertainty and countless questions: Can I still lead the way I used to? Will I find the right balance? Am I ready? In the first episode of our Back to Work series, Sagarika Ayyannamahanthi shares her journey of returning back to Meesho after becoming a mother. She opens up about navigating self-doubt, rediscovering her confidence and the support that helped her grow, both as a leader and as a new parent. 💛 Every parent's journey is different. But when workplaces create the right support system, returning to work becomes less about choosing between career and family, and more about growing with both. 🤗 #LifeAtMeesho #BackToWork #WomenAtMeesho #WorkingParents #Motherhood

Ashish Kumar Singh heeft dit geplaatstSix years ago I joined Meesho — a startup with a bold bet that social commerce could unlock e-commerce for Bharat. Today, as I close this chapter, it's a large, publicly listed company that has touched hundreds of millions of lives across India. I didn't build that. A lot of extraordinary people did. But I had the privilege of being in the room. It felt like the right time to move on. Long, fruitful journey — and post-IPO felt like the natural inflection point. What I'll carry forward: Problem-first and User-first aren't just principles — they're a discipline. When an organisation genuinely internalises them, it changes how every decision gets made, including people decisions. Talent density is the highest-leverage bet a leader can make. A small group of exceptional people, given real ownership, will consistently outperform a large group of adequate ones. Building that — and protecting it — was the most important thing my function did. HR works best when it earns trust by focusing relentlessly on employee experience — not on process for its own sake. When people feel that HR is in their corner, they bring more of themselves to work. We saw that play out, and it mattered. Meesho has been a second home. I've grown more here than anywhere else in my career — as a leader, and as a person. The connections, the memories, the things this place taught me about myself — I couldn't have got that anywhere else. I leave with a full heart, and I remain a big believer in what this company will become. To the Meesho HR team — you taught me more than I taught you. You ran toward hard things with curiosity rather than caution. That's rare, and it's yours to keep. To Vidit, Sanjeev and the leadership team — thank you for the trust, the honesty, and for building something genuinely worth being part of. I'll be here through a full transition and personally involved in finding the right next leader for this function. Taking some time before the next chapter. Reading, focusing on fitness, and having conversations I've been too busy to have. If any of that sounds like it might intersect with your world — I'd love to hear from you. More soon..

We know that because, we took the Health Mela to their office last week. It was spread across four floors, saw 612+ folks participate, and even had a free painting stall set up just for fun. Here are some photo-evidence of Meeshoites giving it their all in the Mela 📸

Ashish Kumar Singh heeft dit gerepostAshish Kumar Singh heeft dit gerepostToday marks an important new chapter for Kirana Club When we started Kirana Club, our belief was simple: small retailers in Bharat deserve better access, transparency and efficiency in how they discover and source products. India’s kirana stores are the backbone of our retail economy. They serve every mohalla, every town, every village, yet the systems around them have remained fragmented for far too long. We started by building a community where kirana retailers could learn from each other, discuss products, compare prices, discover schemes and make better business decisions. Over time, that trust became the foundation for commerce. Today, I’m excited to share that Kirana Club will become part of Meesho. Meesho has built for underserved users at a scale few companies in India have achieved. What stood out to us was not just their scale, but how similarly both companies think, using technology, marketplace models and operational efficiency to serve users who have historically been underserved. That shared belief made Meesho the right partner for our next phase. Kirana Club will continue to operate independently within the Meesho group, with the same retailer-first focus and the same mission: to build India’s most trusted digital commerce network for Kiranas. This milestone would not have been possible without Aishwarya, who has built Kirana Club with me from the earliest days - through every pivot, every hard call, every experiment and every phase of growth. Grateful to our team, retailers, brand partners, sellers, investors and everyone who believed in us through this journey. The mission stays the same. The ambition gets bigger. 🚀 P.S. This photo is from a kirana store in a village in Bihar. Vidit and Dhiresh spent time with us on the ground during the process, listening to retailers, understanding the reality of kirana commerce, and seeing the opportunity up close. That said a lot about the team we are joining.

Ashish Kumar Singh heeft dit gerepostAshish Kumar Singh heeft dit gerepostWe are extending our mission of democratising internet commerce for everyone to a new stakeholder : Retailers. Meesho has acquired Kirana Club India’s grocery market is estimated at ~$658 billion, with kirana and general trade channels accounting for nearly 91% of the market. Yet millions of kiranas across Tier 3, Tier 4 and rural India still rely on fragmented distributor networks, limited assortment and opaque pricing structures for sourcing. Anshul Gupta and Aishwarya Jain built Kirana Club to solve exactly this. A zero-inventory, zero-field-sales, community-first B2B marketplace, purpose-built for kiranas outside metro India. Today, the platform serves 4.1 million+ registered retailers. Deep trust built through a model that was designed for this market from day one. What drew us to Kirana Club was the philosophy behind it: asset-light, community-led, built for users that mainstream platforms overlooked. It’s the same instinct with which Sanjeev and I built Meesho. We’re excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to building for retailers across India.

Ashish Kumar Singh heeft dit gerepostAshish Kumar Singh heeft dit gerepostIntroducing Vaani – Your Meesho Dost, India’s first Gen AI-powered conversational voice shopping assistant, designed for the next 500 million users who inherently shop this way. Most e-commerce is built for digitally savvy users who know what they want and how to find it. A large part of India doesn’t shop that way. Shopping here has always been assisted. You walk into a store, describe what you need, ask questions and decide with guidance. That’s what we built for. Vaani brings this offline experience online. It understands natural, real-world queries, asks follow-up questions to clarify intent, and works seamlessly across the app to help users discover, decide and purchase. Early signals are encouraging. Over 1.5 million users have interacted with Vaani, with strong repeat usage indicating early habit formation and a 22% higher conversion rate among users who engage with the assistant. When technology understands you, shopping becomes simpler. When it guides you, confidence grows. And with that confidence, millions more people can participate in commerce. #Meesho #VoiceCommerce #DigitalIndia

Ashish Kumar Singh vond dit interessantAshish Kumar Singh vond dit interessantA few weeks ago, I couldn't write a single line of code. Last week, I won 1st place at Meesho's Buildathon, out of 1,000+ submissions, for an AI agent I built entirely on my own. I'm an HRBP, not an techie. It started with a problem I faced daily - too many signals across emails, Slack and meetings, with no single place telling me what actually needed my attention. So I decided to try building one. I didn't know how to code or whether it would work. AI became my co-builder. That experiment became Amadeus—an AI agent that helps me triage my day, stay ahead of my team's wellbeing, track performance, and even coach my own growth. And the best part? It's not just a Buildathon project. I've been using it as my daily driver for weeks and honestly winning is not the biggest takeaway here. "AI has changed who gets to build." You don't necessarily need to be an engineer anymore. You need a real problem, curiosity, and the willingness to try. I'm no longer just asking: “What can AI help me do?” I'm asking: “What can I build with AI?” If you're in HR or anywhere honestly and you've ever thought: “I wish there was a tool for this.” Maybe you can just build it now. I'd love to see more people in HR experiment, build and share what they create. I'd even love to bounce ideas off you to co-create something together. Grateful to the Buildathon team for creating the space to experiment, and to everyone who tested Amadeus and gave me honest feedback. 🙌 #MeeshoBuildathon #BuildAtMeesho #AIinHR #HRTech #InnovationAtMeesho

Ashish Kumar Singh heeft hierop gereageerdAshish Kumar Singh heeft hierop gereageerd॥ नमः पार्वतीपतये हर हर महादेव ॥ The onboarding has been completed successfully, stakeholders are aligned, and I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Meesho as a Senior Associate. The transition from college to corporate has been… seamless. (Terms & Conditions apply.) Last week, I learned that: • We don’t “meet”; we block calendars. • We don’t “talk”; we touch base. • We don’t “delay”; we reprioritize. • We don’t “have no clue”; we need more context. • We don’t “ask again”; we follow up on the thread. • We don’t “figure it out later”; we take it offline. • And apparently, everything can be solved by a quick sync. Going into my first week, I expected compliance trainings, policy documents, and trying to remember everyone’s names. Instead, I found myself playing cricket, solving treasure hunts, competing in team challenges, winning one of them, meeting some incredible people, and even getting the opportunity to interact with the founders Vidit Aatrey Sanjeev Barnwal. Safe to say, the onboarding experience exceeded expectations and significantly outperformed the projected KPI. A huge thank you to Apoorva Singh Bhadoriya Ishwarya Murali Shivangi Singh and the People Team, HRs, onboarding team, and everyone involved in making the first week so memorable. Every activity was thoughtfully planned, and it genuinely made us feel welcomed from Day 1. Looking forward to learning, contributing, asking a lot of questions, and hopefully creating more impact than meeting invites. Until then, I’ll be busy circling back, driving impact, leveraging synergies, identifying low-hanging fruit, taking things offline, and pretending I understood everything in the meeting. Please don’t hesitate to block 15 minutes on my calendar if you’d like to touch base. As always, grateful to Waheguru for every closed door that redirected me and every open door that brought me here. Here’s to learning, growing, and taking it one day at a time!

OD Alternatives and OrgLens are part of a thoughtful research initiative to better understand how CHROs and senior talent leaders in India make critical talent decisions. The research involves a 45-minute interview with CHROs or Senior Talent Heads across sectors, exploring decisions around succession planning, HiPo identification, manager capability, and the ROI of talent investments. Participating organisations will receive: • A confidential, enterprise-specific analysis of their current talent decision system • An anonymised cross-sector view showing how peers are approaching similar talent decisions If your organisation would like to be part of the study, the registration link is shared in the comments. #TalentManagement #CHRO #ResearchStudy #OrgLens #ODA Srijita Paul Sanjna Sharma Sasanka Kireeti Eshita Soni Arwa Ali Santhosh Babu

52% of India's GCCs now plan to raise headcount in FY27, up from 47% last year - but the survey itself admits "confidence and conditions are moving in opposite directions." Translation: hiring intent is real, but a quarter of CHROs still can't clear the bar on AI and cloud talent. The constraint was never board approval. It's supply.

Every byte of innovation at ESDS Software Solution Limited begins with a person- curious, creative, and ready to grow. Because no matter how advanced technology becomes, its people who give it purpose. For us, technology is only half the equation; culture completes it. We have built a workplace where inclusivity is a lived experience, where women in tech lead decisions and every ESDSian is encouraged to experiment, adapt and keep learning. Preparing for the AI-driven future, to me, is about empowering people to use technology better. That’s the heart of our HR philosophy at ESDS. In this conversation with CXO Media, I have shared how our people strategy aligns with digital transformation and how culture continues to be our strongest differentiator. From the Cricket Field to Leadership Lessons- reflecting on India’s T20 World Cup Journey 🇮🇳🏏 Watching India win the ICC Men's T20 World Cup always reminds me how closely sport mirrors leadership and management. Here are a few powerful lessons that stand out for me: 1. Preparation beats pressure Winning at the global stage doesn’t happen overnight. It is the result of relentless preparation, planning, and execution — something every high-performing organization understands well. While in the last one odd year everyone was critical & skeptical about too many player rotations in each series, it was done with a clear purpose- to identify the most balanced team that can effectively give results in various conditions of the tournament. Clarity in preparation despite external noise is an essential part to succeed. 2. Believe in your team Great leaders trust their people. The belief shown in the squad creates confidence that enables players to perform when it matters most. Abhishek Sharma, Varun Chakaravarthy are classic examples- this is where understanding the right talent for the right kind of situation is so critical for any organisation. 3. Course correction after setbacks Losses happen. What defines champions is how they respond. After the defeat to South Africa, the ability to regroup, analyze, and adapt reflects the same agility great organizations need in a competitive environment. It is important to reflect on losses & use that as an opportunity to bounce back with right strategies, combination and winning mindset. That’s what creates champions. 4. Be ready when opportunity comes Players like Sanju Samson remind us that opportunities may not come frequently but preparation ensures you are ready when they do. Likewise Ishan Kishan was not even in the contention, but he kept grinding at the domestic level to earn a place in the team- rest is history now! 5. Mentorship matters In the post match presentation Sanju mentioned how Sachin Tendulkar kept mentoring him during his lean phase & also helped him ease his nerves and prepare before the final. This is a classic case of how mentoring can help an organisation achieve the best out of existing team members. Organisations too must build strong mentoring cultures to nurture future leaders. 6. Discipline and teamwork win championships Individual brilliance helps, but tournaments are won through discipline, role clarity, and teamwork — the same pillars that drive great companies. Throughout the tournament everyone chipped in with their bit whenever required. Right from Bumrah to Shivam Dube, everyone knew exactly what’s their role in the team & everyone knew what’s the strength of others in the team. It’s extremely important to play to each players’ strength, have role clarity & share the team members’ part in the bigger picture- this is what makes a champion team! So while we celebrate India winning yet another World Cup, it’s a world cup that certainly leaves behind a lot to learn from!!!

ADAPTIVE LEADERS • 11K volgers
GCCs in India are no longer “extended teams.” They’re becoming global engines of innovation. But with this shift comes a silent pressure: Talent must evolve faster than the work. Most GCCs I speak with aren’t struggling with capability. They’re struggling with capability at scale, context, and consistency. Here’s what that looks like on the ground: 1. Brilliant individual contributors suddenly expected to influence global stakeholders. 2. Managers leading hybrid, cross-cultural teams without ever being coached for it. 3. Technical leaders asked to drive transformation — not just delivery. 4. Fast promotions without the leadership depth to match the acceleration. This isn’t a skill-gap problem. It’s a development-gap. The GCCs winning today are the ones building talent in three layers: Self → Others → Systems. Not just what people do, but how they think, collaborate, and lead across borders. India is becoming the world’s leadership lab. If we invest in talent intentionally, GCCs here won’t just support global strategy — they’ll shape it. What’s one talent challenge your GCC is navigating right now? #ArohanApproach #LearningandDevelopment #TalentDevelopment #GlobalCapabilityCenters #GCCs
