This device is a new therapeutic option for treating volume overload in Acute Heart Failure patients who have an insufficient response to diuretics. I’m humbled to share that I’ve embarked on this journey as Co-Founder & CEO, bringing together much of what I have spent my career doing — medicine, immunology, clinical trials, venture building and entrepreneurship. I’m especially fortunate to co-found Synaptic with my colleague and long-time friend Prof. Adam Mor (https://lnkd.in/gFzVmwAA), building on pioneering discoveries from the Mor Lab around a powerful idea: deciphering the immune synapse, and using that knowledge to design the next generation of immunotherapies. Our ambition: to cure many more patients with solid tumors, dramatically increase response rates for the rest, and reduce the burden of immune-related adverse events (irAEs) from all those treated with IO. Just as humbling is the caliber of people who have chosen to build this with us. Our Chair, Roger Pomerantz, MD, our Chief Development Officer, Richard Kenney, MD (https://lnkd.in/gBqqFVQj), and the dozen-plus leading clinicians, scientists and advisors we have engaged are people I deeply respect — many of them colleagues and friends I have had the privilege of working with over decades, each an exceptional expert. Crossevia Medical's team is deeply saddened by the passing of Zohar Gendler, our Chairman of the Board and the CEO of NGT Healthcare. Zohar was a well-known leader in the Israeli medtech community and proudly led NGT for many years, with a huge impact and many success stories. But for us at Crossevia Medical, Zohar was the first person to believe in us and our vision. In addition, we had the privilege of being his mentees over the last year and learning from his tremendous experience. Lihu Avitov 반응 남김Lihu Avitov 반응 남김Six years ago, INNOVENTRIC had an opportunity to be part of a very special case: Gili (48) was born with a congenital heart disease that eventually resulted in a right ventricle with no Tricuspid valve and severe TR with no available solution. Gili was already tired of frequent re-hospitalizations and the poor quality of life associated with her disease. However, the one-of-a-kind heart team at Beilinson - Rabin Medical Center Cardiology Unit did not give up and came-up with an ingenious hybrid solution and unique procedure that seemed almost unreal. The procedure involved 4 different devices and 4 respective teams. INNOVENTRIC had the privilege to be one of them. Now, six years later I have the pleasure of talking with Gili every year at the procedure “birthday”. Every time, I draw enormous gratification from hearing that this year as well, Gili was free to be with her family and loved ones without a need for any hospitalization. We have great respect for everybody involved in this life-extending and life-changing project, and we thank Gili and her physicians for trusting us with her health! For us, cases like these are a sweet reminder of the “prize” that awards all the hard work. Our goal is to improve the Israeli epidemioigical understanding, diagnosis, treatment options, disease management, and policy. Ultimately, to better serve People Living with Rare Diseases (PLWRD) and their families.
