David Kilbride heeft dit gedeeldThrilled to see our partnership expand further with Bank of Ireland! It’s fantastic to build on the work done across Davy and New Ireland Assurance to accelerate digital transformation and drive growth for Irish businesses. Sincere thanks to Susan Russell, Ger Thompson, and our respective teams for their incredible effort in supporting this partnership to date. We are very much looking forward to the next chapter of innovation and success together. 🇮🇪🚀David Kilbride heeft dit gedeeldStripe has extended its long-standing partnership with Bank of Ireland, supporting the next phase of the Group's digital transformation. We've worked with Bank of Ireland Group for several years through Davy which has processed over €2 billion in volume through Stripe's Bank Transfer product and saved 3,000 hours a year in reconciliation work. We're deepening that partnership: accelerating payments innovation, streamlining backend operations, and exploring how AI-driven technology can support the Group's core systems. Our goal is to bring the same speed and reliability Davy has seen to other areas of their business, enabling Bank of Ireland to move faster for its customers. Thanks to Susan Russell and our respective teams who have supported this partnership to date. Here's to the next chapter as we extend Stripe's technology across more Bank of Ireland services. 🇮🇪 David Kilbride Celine Keegan

David Kilbride heeft dit gerepostA while ago, I sat down with Georgie Brannan at Lloyds and asked a question. What if the bank serving over 1 million UK businesses could ship payments at the pace of a fintech? Today, the answer launches. Lloyds Accept is live across the UK. It brings Tap to Pay and modern hardware terminals right into the Lloyds and Bank of Scotland banking apps that businesses already use every day. The Lloyds Accept app is on the App Store and Google Play starting today. Two organisations, two cultures, one shared bet on British businesses. That kind of trust takes years to build, and we're proud Lloyds chose to build it with us. Lloyds had a mission: Helping Britain Prosper. Stripe had ours: increase the GDP of the internet. Two missions. One partnership. What started as a conversation is now in the hands of plumbers, florists, restaurants, and consultants who can now accept payments in seconds without ever leaving the bank they trust. A huge thank you to Georgie Brannan , Charlie Nunn, Amanda Murphy , David Thomasson, and Paul Hemsley at Lloyds, and to Patrick Collison, John Collison, Eileen O'Mara, Fran Ryan, Conor McNamara and Marc Fryer at Stripe for your sponsorship and support from day one. You built something that didn't exist. You proved the next chapter of payments isn't banks versus fintechs. It's banks with the right infrastructure, shipping at the speed their customers actually need. To every UK business: this one's for you. We brought together some of Ireland's top retail, travel, and hospitality leaders for a closed-door breakfast on a topic I genuinely believe will reshape how business gets done — Agentic Commerce. The core idea is simple but the implications are massive: we're moving from an internet built for human eyes — scrolling, clicking, browsing — to one built for AI agents that search, compare, and transact on your behalf. From Information to Action. The room was class. A few things that stuck with me: 🔹 Rob Wilson (Smyths Toys Superstores) shared how Smyths are already deploying AI agents to drive real operational impact. His honesty about the internal challenges of getting data "agent-ready" was refreshing — and a wake-up call for everyone in the room. 🔹 Hilary Platt (OpenAI) framed it brilliantly — if your product data, APIs, and catalogues aren't machine-readable, AI agents won't find you. In the SEO era, if you weren't optimised for Google, you were invisible. The agentic era is the same — but the stakes are higher because money is moving. 🔹 Steven Carvalho (Accenture) brought the market view — some reports project a $5 trillion B2C agentic commerce opportunity by 2030. That's four years away. His advice? Don't wait for the 18-month roadmap. Pick a Day 1 move and execute this quarter. 🔹 Kevin Dowling and Colin Banville took the audience through Stripe's agentic commerce solutions — live demos of checkout on AI surfaces, the Stripe Agent Toolkit, and the Agentic Commerce Protocol. Seeing payments happen inside a conversational AI interface still gives me a buzz. 🔹 David Kilbride moderated a fantastic panel that brought it all together. Three takeaways from the morning: 1️⃣ The pace is the story. OpenAI went from research tool to economic actor in under three years. The next two will move faster. 2️⃣ Readiness is existential. If your checkout isn't machine-readable, you're not disadvantaged — you're invisible. 3️⃣ A first-mover window. The protocols are being written right now. The businesses that lean in today get to shape this, not react to it. Great energy, great conversations, and plenty of follow-ups already in motion. If you're thinking about what agentic commerce means for your business, our door is always open.

David Kilbride vond dit interessantDavid Kilbride vond dit interessantThe most underused pipeline strategy I've seen in 25 years of sales: just ask. One of my AEs recently got a customer live and growing - fast. Great partnership, smooth launch. Her next move: "This has gone great. Who in your network could also benefit from our solution?" Two weeks later she had introductions to three new companies. One signed last week. Most sellers skip this step. Not because they don't know it works. Because asking feels awkward - like they're taking advantage of a good thing. They're not. If you've delivered real value to a customer, you've earned the right to ask. Their network is full of people with the exact same problems you just solved. Confident enough to ask. That's the whole strategy. It works in sales. It works in recruiting too - so I'm asking. Are you or someone you know a proven seller, hungry to grow, and ready to work with some of the best in the business? If so, Stripe and this team rock - and you want in. Our bar is high - links to roles and their requirements in the comments. #sales #salesleadership #leadership #hiring #Stripe

David Kilbride vond dit interessantDavid Kilbride vond dit interessantToday marks my last day at Payrails The opportunity to join a startup and build a function from scratch doesn't come along every day. That's what attracted me to the role. In the time together here is what we got done: • Defined the function, built the KPIs and comp model, and hired the team from scratch • 3x ARR • 4x Enterprise go-lives • 5x Win Rate (with vs without a Solution Engineer) To my incredible team Eduardo Janicas, Marko Babić, Andreas Hanaekan, Syed Moosa Abbas and my partners in crime Aristotelis Lefas, Victoria Ivanhorodska, Sakshi Shukla, Kanan Binnatzada and Rana Hammad thank you for all the fun times and memories. To Emre Talay, Orkhan Abdullayev and Edward Moore thank you for the opportunity. For now, some celebrations, a couple of days of rest and then onto something new. A crazy new adventure awaits.

David Kilbride vond dit interessantDavid Kilbride vond dit interessantIf your feed looks anything like mine, the last couple of weeks have been full of UNBOUND and Dreamforce posts. Big takeaways, big learnings, big stages. And I'm not excluding myself from that, I was there too and grateful for it. But here's what you don't see in those posts. Behind every one of us who flew out, met customers, shook hands, and came back buzzing with ideas, there was someone holding the fort. Picking the kids up from school, making sure the lunch boxes were packed, keeping the routine going so there was still a life to come back to. Halfway through my trip, my kids sent me this photo that just said, wish you were here. That's the version of the story you don't see on this feed. So this one's for them, the unseen support system behind the conference selfies. And Thank You Cormac McGarry, PhD

David Kilbride vond dit interessantBig day 🚀 Claude Opus 5.5 is live! Our cheapest, most capable Opus model yet! ⚡ More than 30% faster 💰 40% cheaper to run for token-billed workloads Excellent at coding, communication and knowledge work. The enterprise daily driver just levelled up 👇 https://lnkd.in/gpHQy-M5David Kilbride vond dit interessantWe’re introducing Claude Opus 5.5, the first model in our new Claude 5.5 family. It performs at the level of Claude Fable 5.1 for most tasks, and costs 40% less to run than Opus 5. Opus 5.5 is our first model since we called for pacing the frontier. As with previous models, it was tested by external evaluators before release, including METR and Frontier Design. On our most comprehensive alignment test, it achieves the strongest score to date. It outperforms both Opus 5 and Fable 5.1 on nearly every benchmark we report, leading on agentic coding and real-world knowledge work. It’s also more efficient. Opus 5.5 uses fewer tokens per task at a lower price per token, and generates output more than 30% faster than Opus 5. Opus 5.5 communicates more naturally, addressing some of the most common feedback we heard on Opus 5. It puts the most important information up front and follows the writing rules you give it. Claude Opus 5.5 is available today. We're also raising five-hour limits on Pro, Max, and Team plans, so there’s more room to explore what it can do. Read more: https://lnkd.in/ed8v38cg

David Kilbride vond dit interessantDavid Kilbride vond dit interessantI would rather have a motivated team member working 30 hours a week at 100% capacity/intensity than somebody being forced to work "40 hours" at less intensity, just to tick the box of showing up and working a standard working week. We hire humans, but we've been trained to think about people like robots that function exactly the same from 9 to 5 or 6 (depending on your country rules ;-)). Performance and showing up daily at work shows up as a wave, not a flat line. Life is a wave, of ups and downs. Real people bring their real selves to work. Their health, their personal stuff, whatever they're going through. If one of your top people is going through something (a separation, caring for a family member, a child that needs some extra supports), recognise it. Talk to them, encourage them to take a beat, and put on their own oxygen mask. Don't bash them over the head with expectations of consistent 100% output. As I see it, this is the real job: balancing the needs of the business with the needs of real humans.
