Insights into Flow and Continuous Systems in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing: Challenges and Opportunities Growth and development of the pharmaceutical sector in Ireland has been remarkable over a 50 year period starting as an API manufacturing hub with strong regulatory confidence gradually expanding to include a range of activities ranging from process R&D, formulation services, and other high-value elements of the pharmaceutical enterprise, while in parallel complementary expertise in bioprocessing and biotechnology has resulted in the sector being globally significant and integrated into global supply chains. The more significant change in API manufacture in recent years has been the introduction of continuous flow technology offering many advantages including safety, efficiency, and flexibility. The Cyberspark Ireland Bootcamp is coming to AMTCE - Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre of Excellence, Dundalk on 16–17 January, bringing together students, educators, and cyber professionals for two days of immersive, hands-on cybersecurity training and live competition. This flagship bootcamp is designed to give participants real-world experience of how modern cyber operations work. Over two intensive days, teams will engage with live cyber ranges, investigate and respond to simulated attacks, and develop practical skills in threat detection, digital defence, and incident response. Ireland is home to 14 of the world’s 15 largest #MedTech companies, which together have an Irish workforce of 50,000 and produce €14.9 billion in global exports. It also hosts 13 of the 15 leading global biopharmaceutical companies, with €100 billion worth of exports a year. Asian investment is also playing a key role in Ireland's healthcare ecosystem, with leading companies such as Astellas Pharma, NIPRO Corporation - Global and Takeda expanding their presence here. Ireland also has an extraordinary technology #talent pool. Today, 13 of the world’s top 20 global technology companies have a presence in Ireland. Datavant, a world-leading health data platform company, announced earlier this year that it was establishing its global R&D Centre in Galway.
