I transferred money to my sister through PayPal. Oops, I TRIED to transfer money through PayPal.
I typed in her email address.
PayPal changed it to a different email address.
Of course, she didn’t receive notification of the transfer and didn’t see it in her PayPal account.
I called PayPal - they said they couldn’t help me as it was a friends and family transaction.
The second time I called and asked for what email it was sent to. I told the representative that was not the address I entered. He told me there was nothing they could do.
I called a third time and the representative told me the only recourse I could take was to cancel the transaction with my bank.
Lucky me, they could cancel the transaction!
When PayPal tried to withdraw the money from my account and couldn’t THEY STEPPED IN AND SENT THE MONEY THEMSELVES.
Now they have sent me to collections!
I called to explain the situation and guess what?
They can’t help me BECAUSE IT WAS A FRIENDS AND FAMILY TRANSACTION!
