FromJapan needs to do better!!! They offer coupon codes for discounts but the ones for auctions are not applied automatically unlike the ones for Fleamarket or Mercari, which is the same loophole many companies use to save costs and it is scummy practice. The irritating part is I did apply the discount before I submit for the sniper bid, but when others starting bidding near to my max bid, I decided to deposit more money to increase my max bid in order to win the auction. Unfortunately, the coupon code did not re-apply itself to the same listing when I have already applied it before, so I won the auction without getting the savings. It's so unfair that they put this responsibility on us, especially when bidding is such a high intensity activity. How are we supposed to remember to check if the coupon is still applied when all we want is to focus on winning the auction? I've bought so much using their service, I paid so many of their high 500yen per listing fees, I still have to pay taxes and shipping, and they don't even want to give me my 10% discount on the winning bid. Their excuse is that they cannot apply the discount after Charge 1 payment, well, you can always do a partial refund to my account, or give me a FJ points equivalent to that 10% savings, or another coupon to use to offset in my Charge 2 payment, right? There are SO many ways to make this right, but all the customer service is willing to say is for me to 'be understanding'. DISAPPOINTING. I have been a loyal customer since 2015, and with so many other platforms popping out, it would be so unfortunate to bring my business elsewhere.

Sure, the 10% code might be for 23rd, but there was another code meant for 22nd, and I am not sure of the exact discount %. You can check which code was available for Yahoo auction for the 22nd. Either way, I had successfully applied that 22nd code on my auction at first, then it disappeared when I increased my bid because it was treated as a new bid and I did not check to re-apply that 22nd code to the new bid. Nice try with the technicality but you know exactly what I meant, and yes I learnt my lesson and made sure I applied the promo code when bidding again separately on the 23rd, but I still failed to get my savings from the 22nd code. Still no compensation given.
