Contractors found us on werkspot, took our deposit and lost all communnication and never completed the work. I do not believe anything is done to prevent bad contractors reaching out to you via werkspot. Would not recommend it.

Good morning, Hello [First Name],
Thank you for your message. We are sorry to hear that you have had such a bad experience with a tradesperson hired through our platform.
In order to be able to help you further, we would like to ask you to declare the trade at fault. This allows us to submit your complaint to the tradesperson in question and ask him to contact you about it. We also ask him to take action.
It is then up to the tradesperson to resolve the complaint with you as best as possible.
We recommend the following step-by-step plan:
1. Set an ultimatum It is best to give the tradesperson an ultimatum in writing (by post). In this ultimatum, you indicate that you want the problems resolved to your satisfaction within a certain period of time (for example, two weeks).
2. Declaration of default by the tradesperson It is advisable to state in the ultimatum that you will declare the tradesman in default if he does not meet your wishes within the specified period.
3. Legal steps If you have not received a satisfactory response within the prescribed period and have declared the tradesman to be in default, you can take legal action. For these follow-up steps we advise you to contact your legal assistance insurance and/or a legal desk.
4. Share the information with Werkspot We would like to receive a copy of the notice of default and any other communication you have sent to the professional.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact via our contact form https://support.werkspot.nl/s/contactsupport
