Contractors found us on werkspot, took our deposit and lost all communnication and never completed the work. I do not believe anything is done to prevent bad contractors reaching out to you via werkspot. Would not recommend it.

a contractor gave me a quote and then I asked a question to clarify. somehow that contractor got my phone number, calls me and asks money for a job that he didn't do because obviously werkspot charges them for a quote they give. WHY DOES THIS CONTRACTOR HAVE MY NUMBER AND CAN ASK FOR MONEY FROM ME? diabolically crazy. don't use if you unless you don't have any other option. or be aware that your personal details will be shared with random professionals.

WARNING: This platform is very misleading.
From what I see in the reviews, many users end up losing money. The platform makes money without doing real work, while professionals take all the risk.
It says responding is FREE, but that is not really true.
You sign up and choose your interests, and within a few days, you are asked to pay €405 for leads—without getting a single job. This does not make sense and is considered fraudulent!!
You are charged for leads even before you speak to the customer.
And the few people who do respond often say things like:
“ Thank you”
.“I’m not renovating anymore.”
.“I found someone cheaper.”
Meanwhile, the cost for leads keeps increasing, and you still have no work.
Even after many responses, you are expected to pay these costs. That is not reasonable.
I asked the customer service for help as I am just starting the business and cannot afford such a loss while making zero profit from this platform, but the answer was very disappointing and very robotic.
Some important concerns about this platform:-
1-Prices can be changed easily and without a clear explanation.
2-Lack of transparency for business users (Platform-to-Business Regulation EU 2019/1150)
3-Under Dutch law, terms should not be unfair to one side.
Overall, the platform’s terms and conditions seem
unclear and mainly benefits the platform itself.

To answer to werkspot. Where is your phone number please ? You dont work nothing to emproove. I'm here for a year , and i see alot of profesionist hoe share my thougths that now are words since 2018. So , your system , is based on getting more money from profesionist. You advice the clients to wait untill more company respond to recall. You automatic price - for two socket , pay 40 euro , is a bit shame. Besides i dont think i will find a profesionist how is glad to pay your lead. Just wake up and stop liying us and the clients. Im having an issue with data privacy…
Im having an issue with data privacy and tried to contact their support team but even their contact form doesnt work. nothing happens while clicking on "submit form". My issue was, even though i haven't consented to share my phone number with the potential professionals, since i posted a job, i got a whatsapp message from one of the them. First disappointment, I filled the form and relize that I have to log in-Drop it

Cheated and threatened
Customer service is terrible. I was cheated (500 euros) by one professional that they have hired and I was threatened by him. I have all the proofs but the customer service did NOTHING. I kept emailing but no response. Is this how you take care of consumers? Absolutely disappointed.

Chose two companies to get quotations from.
One was way too expensive.
The otherone was Klusjesman AEG.
He contacted me to come and view the job which he did, then he said i will send u a quotaton tomorrow. It took 3 days to finally get a price and I agreed, he was supposed to start on 1st of Sept. I receive a text from him a day before that he is cancelling. I have emptied my living and dining room and living between boxes and bags.
Absolutely not professional and I am very disappointed at werkspot.
Now u have to start again and find someone to come urgently and do the job.
Werkspot should check the companies they make a deal with. Not good at all.

It's a tragedy. Werkspot doesn't inform clients that professionals have to pay commission. People have no idea and often thoughtlessly share data, and we have to pay sometimes over 60 euros for it.I believe there should be no fees charged unless the client hires a professional. A person who is not employed will never be employed again by that person, that's obvious. Fees should only be charged if the service is actually performed. Alternatively, if people thoughtlessly share certain data then they should pay a commission!! I earned 1000 euros on Werkspot in a month and paid over 600 euros to Werkspot. It's totally unprofitable. Unless Werkspot itself posts ads just to make money by cheating professionals. I strongly advise against it and I am resigning from this site until the rules change.
