I purchased the VanceAI for PC desktop version last month for $129.90. The desktop app (also the VanceAI web version) are stuck in limited "Free" mode and will not unlock the paid version. I emailed VanceAI support, I received the usual "we'll be in touch" email and have not heard any more from them. If they cannot get their own product to work properly then I'll ask for a refund but I expect they will just ignore me again.

Be aware of difficulty in cancelling. I tried cancelling about 8 months ago as I no longer needed it. Didn't realise it was a 2 step cancelling process and never checked my email (my fault). Months later, I discovered I was still being charged so I natually thought I must have forgotten to cancel after all. So did it again without checking my email (ok, my fault again). Another few months later, still not cancelled so this time I knew I had definitely attempted to cancel. It was then that i discovered I needed to confirm in email. So I tried again. Something has now changed in the website and I cannot cancel it. I have followed their instructions but it wasn't showing the same thing my end. I tried contacting support. No answer. Tried again tonight but something is wrong with their website and I cannot get a ticket. The only thing I can do now is cancel my paypal auto payment. Not happy!

I am very disappointed with my experience.
I tried to cancel my subscription, but the “Cancel subscription” button simply does nothing. There is no confirmation, no error message, and no way to stop the subscription through my account.
I also contacted support, but I received no response.
In Stripe, my subscription still shows as active with a “next payment” date, but I am unable to cancel it or remove my payment method because it is blocked while the subscription is active.

This makes it very stressful because I cannot properly stop the billing myself!

I am sharing this so other users are aware of this issue before subscribing.

Nice product, but Support has gone dark. "Lifetime" desktop license no longer works, and support tickets and emails go unanswered, then tickets eventually disappear.

I do NOT recommend this service.

I subscribed to VanceAI, and now I cannot cancel my subscription. There is no clear “Cancel Plan” button anywhere in the dashboard or billing page. It feels intentionally hidden.

I have already contacted their support 5–6 times, and they completely ignore my requests. No response, no help, nothing.

The system keeps charging automatically, but gives you no proper way to stop it.

This is very frustrating and feels misleading. Be careful before subscribing.

My experience with VanceAI:

I purchased their service (85.26 EUR) because they advertise a 7-day money-back guarantee. I submitted a refund request within the allowed time (Ticket ID: VA1774197734T0010, March 22, 2026).
Despite this, I have not received a refund or any meaningful response from their support.
Based on my experience, the refund policy was not honored.
If you are considering using this service, I recommend being cautious, especially with subscriptions and payments.

This online photo enhancement service is the best I found. The cost is very reasonable and the points you acquire carry over from month to month. I recommend you try it and see what marvelous things AI can do to save some of your photo errors.

Another awesome restoration experience! I found a very interesting photo that I liked but it was a terrible. In a frame, tilted and very blurry. First, got it righted and lopped off the edges. Used an interim restore site to get a halfway decent image. Came here and used the denoising and sharpening feature of Upscaler and it rendered a superb image.

This apps is the best at enlarging low resolution images.

July 2026 update: they have released a new version of their desktop software(image upscale and other features) and now everything works... for now.
Still, I won't give them more than 3 stars(up from 1) because they kept me in the dark for a very long time, didn't provide any updates and this was extremly frustrating.

BUYER BEWARE

Bought the lifetime version as I prefer working locally. The software works decently and I had good outcome overall(not the best but worked for me).
Problems started around Nov 2025 when the desktop app refused to update. Support provided some help but didn't work. Ever since they ghosted me and I had to follow workarounds such as using a VPN to update the AI models... this worked until recently but then it stopped altogether(March 2026). I opened a new ticket but no one cares to answer.
Mind you, the app itself has been at the same version since Oct 2024 so I think it is safe to say this is an abandoned app - maybe it is still working for certain aspects; I only used it to enlarge my images.

You will say to use the web version... I thought about it of course but there are limitations in size and definitely not what I need.

There are free alternatives to enlarge photos - google them.

The results were just terrible the people in photo ended up like bugs bunny their teeth were changed and the overall image was just awful i used once and straight away asked for a refund back to my card and have heard nothing back DO NOT buy this product> The results were worse than the original damaged photo. Outrageous. I am still waiting for Vance AI to contact me . I am going back to my credit card provider to issue dispute and get my refund. Better business practice would have been to refund my money straight away

Had a technical problem, fixed by the helpdesk in half an hour. Would rather not have had the problem in the first place but great response!

Works perfectly even though my picture was dark and pixelated. Allows bigger files too!
