Canva has devolved into an unreliable mess that routinely breaks right when critical deadlines hit. Exporting is plagued with known bugs, presentation embeds fail to play animations consistently, and paid AI photo editing tools constantly crash with failed edit errors.

The support experience is equally terrible. The automated AI helper offers useless advice like telling you to export a static PDF for an animated presentation, and support forms demand receipts instead of design links to drag out response times. Even after clearing browser data, testing multiple connections, and switching machines, the platform remains unstable.

With five major service disruptions in just two weeks, Canva is charging for features that do not work and forcing users to lose time and money. I am only using this platform because a client mandates it, but its unreliability is actively damaging professional workflows. Fix the core platform.

I’m a 70 y/o man and rarely do anything on social media. I am not your customer. Whoever ordered this did it fraudulently.

I got my solution. I got the job done. I am taking one star away since I had difficulty finding the starred templates.

Canva offers a great variety of templates for different needs, including presentations, social media posts, resumes, posters, and marketing materials. I especially like how many styles and layouts are available, making it easy to find something that matches the purpose of a project. The templates are also easy to customize, which saves time and helps create professional-looking designs without starting from scratch.

I lost all my work with virtually no warning

I had been using Canva Education as a student after being invited to a class by my professor, whose Education account had been approved by Canva.

Canva later decided that the professor was not eligible for an Education account. That in itself would not be a problem — I understand that eligibility can be reviewed. The shocking part is how Canva handled it.

At around 1 a.m., we received an email saying that the class would be downgraded/removed. Shortly afterwards, the class disappeared — together with all the work I had created in it. I had no realistic opportunity to move or back up my designs.

I contacted Canva support and was then told that the class and my work could not be restored.

As a student, I had absolutely no way of knowing whether my professor met Canva’s internal eligibility requirements. Canva approved her Education account, she invited me as a student, and I used the service in good faith. If Canva later decided that the account should never have been approved, I do not understand why students should pay the price for that decision by losing their work.

Removing Education benefits is one thing. Deleting users’ work with virtually no warning and then saying it cannot be recovered is something entirely different.

I spent a considerable amount of time creating those materials. I never imagined that work stored in Canva could simply disappear overnight because Canva changed the eligibility status of the person who had invited me to a class.

If you use Canva for anything important, I strongly recommend keeping independent backups of your work. After this experience, I certainly would not trust Canva as the only place where my work is stored.

Best app for grafix and designing

I’m still a beginner when it comes to using Canva, so I’m learning and navigating through the basics. There were a few tasks I wasn’t able to complete, but overall, it was a great experience using Canva.

Canva makes designing very simple and customizable! Whether it's for a presentation or a birthday party invite, it is a great tool for making pages for any occasion.

They're great until they're not. They didn't even attempt to look into the charges and the lack of team support I even used. Nor did the reference previous emails I sent asking to cancel months ago.

Amazing response and very swift resolution

I was disappointed that my individual creative process is not considered in your product. I am looking for a blank slate and the ability to manipulate my articles, text, and images, ai generated or being offered your images that do not represent the personal part of my work and what my readers look forward to. I prefer to store my work on my devices, my own cloud, and not your cloud. I felt having to upload my images first was an extra step, there were many extra steps that seem unnecessary as my previous program worked well without them. When I asked how to do this ai answered that I could put it on a wish list. I understand that the trend is to let another source do the work, but I prefer to do it myself.

I really like Canva because it fun and it has everything.

I love Canva and it is so easy and fun to create awesome slideshows and other things but there is a lot that I can’t do without paying for it

I don't really enjoy canva because you have to pay for most of the feature on there. I used to be were you could use most things but know you have to pay just to have a decent looking project. I'll still use it I guess 😕
