Great day trackday experience.

My trackday experience today was made great due to Duncan knowing the track like the back of his hand and getting me to use the full track and hit the corners at the correct speed and position and make the track flo as it should....made it a brilliant birthday treat for Terry Burton

If I could give this negative stars

If I could give this negative stars, I would.
The booking confirmation asks you to arrive 20 minutes before your allocated time. I assumed this was to keep things running smoothly, but it just meant standing around for even longer.
When you check in, you're immediately pressured into buying a £50 damage waiver. I asked what happened to the insurance included with the ticket and was told it doesn't cover any mistakes you make. Without the waiver, they said you could receive a bill for up to £5,000. Feeling I had little choice, I paid. I then asked for a copy of the damage waiver policy I'd just bought, only to be told, "It doesn't work like that." No policy, no paperwork, nothing.
The safety briefing itself is delivered by a member of staff, but they explain that everything else is controlled by the computer. You're told the computer has already organised the groups and queue, so you assume the waiting time will be fair and efficient. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience.
You then wait outside with nowhere to sit. People are constantly coming and going, and you see your group of around 18 people, so you expect your turn won't be long. Then you realise what's happening. People who pay for extra laps are pushed to the front or get back out on track almost immediately. Those who don't pay are left waiting while the paying customers get priority again and again.
I arrived at 1:30 pm and finally gave up at 4:00 pm. After two and a half hours, I hadn't driven a single lap. It was sold as a race track experience, but the only experience I had was standing in a queue.
Don't be fooled by the race track either. All the different cars are on the circuit together, so they spend much of the time stuck behind each other. From what I saw, many barely seemed to get out of second gear.
The business model appears to be simple: sell as many experience days as possible, knowing many people will pay extra once they're there. Most guests have received the experience as a gift and don't want to spoil the day, so they feel pressured into spending more.
Do your friends and family a favour and buy them something else. This was one of the most disappointing experiences.

A booking system their own staff admit doesn't work properly

There is one part of this website that works impeccably: the checkout. Payment is taken smoothly, instantly and in full. It is everything downstream of that transaction that collapses.

Having bought a voucher, I attempted to book. There is no way to search by what is actually available. No availability view, no filter, nothing. The only method is to pick a date, watch it fail, pick another, and repeat until you stumble on one the system will accept. I was, in effect, brute-forcing their own booking engine like a forgotten password.

Assuming this had to be a fault, I phoned. It is not a fault. The agent explained, apologetically, that this is a known problem, that staff "just know how to operate the website", and that it is "not ideal". So the company is fully aware its redemption process is broken, has trained its own employees to work around it, and continues to sell vouchers into it regardless.

That is the part I find genuinely objectionable. A business that takes full payment upfront for a future experience has one core obligation on the back end: a functioning means of redeeming it. "Not ideal" is a remarkable description of failing at that.

The cars may well be superb. Reaching one is the real endurance event.

Used track days to book an Everyman car driving experience. Both companies let us down. The experience didn’t deliver all we paid for due to staff incompetence. Still waiting news about a refund, chasing emails. Admin. All detracts from the experience which was supposed to be fun.

I booked a junior experience for my son’s birthday. Due to unforeseen circumstances there was an hour delay, which was not a problem. I had booked x3 car experience and also to be driven around by an experienced driver. The experience should have lasted 3-4 hours after 5 hours of being at the track we still had not had our last experience. I asked for a refund and the representative there asked me to tap my credit card. This did not produce a refund. When calling on the Monday and explained my situation no information had been processed and I am still awaiting a refund/response over a week later.

Pretty shocked to be honest. Very Poor Service!

Pretty shocked to be honest! Over the years my friends & I have booked numerous track days with these guys.

6 days before my track day I was Air lifted to Hospital having fallen through a farm building roof. Broke my leg in 2 places, shattered my ankle, dislocated my ankle and ripped all the tendons, so out of the game for driving for 3 months sadly!

I contacted track days.co.uk & I apologised for the late notice (4 days) & I didn’t even ask for a refund, but simply a credit note if possible! Only to be told that a credit note was not possible & I should have taken out the insurance. I hadn’t planned on falling 20ft through a roof! Ha ha .

We run a small family run business & we would always offer credit for a situation like this, but obviously it’s all about the profit for Motorsport Events & trackdays.co.uk & I’m truly gutted and disappointed.

Won’t be booking with them ever again & I will pass this experience onto everyone at the 750 Motor Club. This is not how to run a business guys!

Would not use this company ever again!

Tried to book my experience online but…

Tried to book my experience online but as I wanted to pay a premium for using the closest venue to me, I couldn’t book without paying the extra fee. When I tried to pay, the payment portal failed. I tried several times before I called track days. The person I spoke to said it was the drift website not their own, but it was theirs as it was detailed on my voucher. She tried to get me to book another venue (double the journey, so 4 hours return, which I wasn’t interested in as I can only do mornings. Then she said the date i was trying to book was fully booked, when it was still showing available on my side. Then I asked if I could extend the date on my voucher, she said I’d have to pay. I then asked for a refund, but apparently that’s only valid within 2 weeks of purchase. So my Christmas present purchased in December is useless to me. We are in June and there’s no availability till my voucher expires in 25th September at the closest venue an hour away from where I live. I feel like once ghey have your money, they don’t care about helping you get what you paid for.

Extremely disappointed – Avoid open vouchers

I received a Supercar 5 Blast voucher as a birthday gift in May, was very excited to drive 5 supercars including the Ariel Atom at Oulton Park — a premium venue near me in Chester.

Availability fell well short of that. The full 5-car package at Oulton Park wasn’t bookable until November, too late in the year for an open car like the Atom (50/50 odds of rain, and wet weather isn’t fun or safe in a raw, powerful car or any supercar). Earlier September dates only offered downgraded 3- or 4-car packages.
Support wasn’t able to offer flexibility on this. They processed a refund, but I lost £50 to a 25% admin fee, with no movement even to 20%. Extending the voucher to next year would have cost more and still risked the same availability problem.

The whole process was time-consuming and frustrating. What started as excitement quickly turned into irritation and letdown.

Advice: if you have a specific venue or package in mind — like a full car count at Oulton Park — check real availability before buying, as the best dates at premium venues fill up fast. The admin fee on refunds also makes this a costly experience to back out of.

Very disappointed overall — the lack of understanding from support made it worse. I expected better customer care for what was meant to be a thoughtful gift.
