Dear Ali,

Calling TicTacArea.com a “scam shop”, accusing us of creating a “fake tracking number” and claiming that we fabricate tracking updates are very serious allegations. Since you have made them publicly, we will respond publicly with facts.

Order EDAKHJOBH was genuinely shipped on August 6 with tracking number LX092466754NL.

The shipment has real carrier scans and subsequently suffered a logistics incident. It was marked as undeliverable and is in the return to sender process.

You did not receive your order. That is true.

We also acknowledge that some information initially provided to you regarding the shipment was inaccurate and that the resolution of your refund has taken longer than it should have. We accept responsibility for that.

But a shipping incident is not a fake shipment.

The tracking number is real. The shipment is real. The carrier movements are real. Calling them “fabricated” repeatedly does not make them fabricated.

You also make the rather curious claim that TicTacArea.com is “operating by one person only”.

We are proudly a family business and have been working in watches and jewellery for more than 30 years. We have sold online internationally since 1999. We sell watches, jewellery, Lladró porcelain, fragrances and accessories from international brands, working with suppliers, warehouses and logistics companies and sending orders around the world.

We are not a giant faceless corporation and have absolutely no desire to become one.

What IS true is that one person, me, Juan Angel, personally dedicates a considerable amount of his time to customer service. We consider having a real person answering customers an advantage, not evidence of a “scam”.

And since you mention our customer service publicly, perhaps readers should also know how you communicated with that person.

On August 24 you wrote:

“Fuck you cunt”

Thirty five minutes later:

“You wanna help? i asked you few time politely to refund my fucking money. I don't want the item any ore. Refund my money”

Despite this, we continued assisting you and simply asked you to communicate respectfully.

You subsequently called us “fake and phoney”, accused us of “scamming in large volume” and stated:

“I'll do everything I can to stop your operation”

Finally, on September 3, after eight laughing emojis, you sent:

“fuck you and the womb you came from if you dont do this”

These are not our interpretation of your behaviour. They are your own words.

Interestingly, none of them appear in your review.

We understand frustration when an international shipment goes wrong. We understand impatience. We accept criticism when our service could have been better.

What we do not accept is verbal abuse towards the people trying to help, followed by public accusations of fraud that contradict the documented shipment records.

Customer service does not mean becoming someone's punching bag.

More than 30 years in business, international online sales since 1999 and over 1,500 independent reviews provide future customers with plenty of information to decide whether TicTacArea.com is a “scam”.

We will take responsibility for what we could have done better.

We will not take responsibility for invented accusations.

And regarding your concern that there is a real person behind our customer service: yes, there is. You have been speaking to him all along.

Those two weeks were certainly an adventure neither of us had ordered. Five watches disappearing after the shipment had already been received and cleared through customs was frustrating to say the least, and I completely understood your concern. Once a parcel leaves our hands we cannot control every step of its journey, but what we absolutely can control is how we look after our customer when something goes wrong.

I was not going to leave you alone trying to solve the situation with DHL, and I am genuinely happy that my emails and reassurance made those very long two weeks a little easier. Thankfully, the package was finally located and all five watches made it safely to you. I think we both breathed a little easier that day.

Your comment that TicTacArea.com puts the customer first is probably the greatest compliment you could give us. Selling genuine watches internationally is the easy part when everything goes perfectly. For us, real customer service is what happens when it doesn't.

We're genuinely sorry that waiting for a very limited-edition bracelet was frustrating. Nobody enjoys delays, and we completely understand that.

That said, we do think future readers deserve the full picture.

The bracelet you ordered is an exclusive Diesel model that is no longer in regular production. We don't have an unlimited warehouse full of them waiting to be shipped. We receive very small allocations from the manufacturer, sometimes just a handful at a time, and unfortunately they don't always arrive in the exact order or quantity we would like.

The suggestion that we deliberately shipped "later orders" before yours is an interesting theory. Reality is usually much less dramatic. Different countries, different stock allocations, different warehouse locations and different logistics situations can all affect dispatch times. International shipping isn't quite as simple as taking names from a queue and rolling a dice.

Despite this, we never kept your money hostage. As soon as you requested it, we processed your refund in full. No arguments. No hidden conditions. No endless emails. Just a straightforward refund.

It's also worth mentioning that your order included free international shipping all the way to China for a bracelet costing just €40.57. We were happy to absorb those shipping costs because we value our customers worldwide. Unfortunately, sometimes even free worldwide shipping cannot speed up a manufacturer producing extremely limited stock.
