Had an issue with the correct credit card (my fault) that being said communication with your staff was taking 2-4 days.

Absolutely shocking experience watch…
Absolutely shocking experience watch watchcase decided against it and they continued to take the money from my credit card. I am now eight weeks waiting for a refund. All I get is emails saying the fault is on their side and apologies I am now having to go through the credit card to get the money back. I’ve been in business 35 years and know when someone is stalling if they had been straight from the Get go then So be it but it’s the constant lies.

Fantastic fit and finish

Let’s go to the great positive parts. First and foremost I think it’s important to always recognize and appreciate a business that ensures any issues are corrected and the customer is happy. I am beyond thrilled with my purchase, it is very well built and I receive many compliments on the appearance. The Mod Project is to commended for ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained.
I highly recommend The Mod Projects and am very happy with the products fit and finish.

I think this response conveniently leaves out some very important facts.
I have never claimed that Apple carried out a forensic investigation or stated that the case was “conclusively” responsible. What I have provided is an independent Apple assessment showing that the damage is located precisely where the third-party case applies pressure.
Apple’s report states:
“Damage to side button appears to be in same area as button push of third party case.”
It also identifies further damage around the bezel when the case is attached.
I explained to The Mod Projects from the beginning exactly what happened: the button on the case was misaligned and was pressing against the Apple Watch side button. This caused the Apple Watch button to become stuck, repeatedly triggering Emergency SOS. I had to physically remove the watch from the case and release the button to stop this happening.
There was no drop, impact, misuse or accidental damage to the watch. The watch was used as intended, with the protective sleeve in place, exactly as the product was designed to be used.
The irony is that I purchased your product specifically to protect a brand-new Apple Watch, yet the case caused damage in the exact area where its own button mechanism makes contact with the watch.
I also want to address the statement that you have offered to resolve the matter with a refund. Yes, you eventually agreed to refund the case — but only after extensive correspondence and repeated escalation. Even then, the refund was not received within the timeframe you provided, requiring further chasing.
Your response says your team “remains available” to ensure the refund is completed properly. I sincerely hope so, because I am still waiting for the money you already agreed to refund.
At this point, I have:
* Provided photographs of the damage
* Explained exactly how the issue occurred
* Confirmed there was no impact or misuse
* Obtained an independent assessment from Apple
* Provided the Apple report to you
* Paid £295 for the resulting Apple Watch repair
* Given The Mod Projects numerous opportunities to resolve this directly
* Been refused reimbursement for the £295 despite the evidence
* Been promised a refund for the case which has still been delayed
* Now had to involve my bank to attempt to recover the money
So this is not simply a customer who “remains dissatisfied.” This is a customer who has spent considerable time trying to resolve a problem caused while using your product as intended, has provided independent evidence, and still has not received a satisfactory resolution.
I will allow my bank dispute to take its course and retain all correspondence, photographs, the Apple assessment and proof of the £295 repair as evidence.
Potential customers should read the full response from both sides and make their own decision. My experience has been extremely disappointing, and I would personally not purchase from The Mod Projects again.

We stand behind our products and, when one of our products is defective, we can provide the appropriate solution for our product, including replacement or refund in accordance with our policies. However, we cannot accept liability for repair costs relating to a separate third-party device where the cause of the damage cannot be independently and conclusively established.
We have therefore offered to resolve the matter concerning the Mod Case itself. We also acknowledge that the agreed refund for the case has taken longer than it should, and we sincerely apologize for that delay. Our team remains available to ensure that this portion of the matter is completed properly.
We respect your disappointment, but we also want to be transparent about what we can reasonably take responsibility for.

I was once the proud owner of a number of branded watches but when Apple produced their watch I started to wear this instead due to the incredible functionality built in that no regular timepiece, however attractive, could replicate
However i missed the weight and design of those watch faces so when i saw The Mod Project i thought i could have the best of both worlds…… and that is what I received when their beautiful box arrived
A serous looking watch and strap with a wonderful array of faces with all the fabulous functionality of an Apple Watch
When there were a few technical issues their customer service manager Clair dealt with everything, in fact so well that in addition to my black watch I have now ordered a stainless steel one as well

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Impressive Product & Outstanding Customer Service
After a wait of just under two weeks, my watch strap arrived, and I have to say that the presentation alone deserves five stars. The strap feels substantial, beautifully made and has an immediate visual impact. It certainly looks and feels like a premium product.
Unfortunately, I experienced some difficulty with two of the screws that need to be removed in order to fit the Apple Watch into the strap. I contacted The Mod Project by email and received a response within 24 hours, which immediately impressed me.
Since then, communication has been excellent and consistent. I requested a return and replacement, and they asked me to provide a short video demonstrating the problem—a perfectly reasonable request and one I was happy to provide.
A special mention must go to Claire, who has handled the issue with great courtesy, professionalism and genuine attention throughout. Good customer service becomes particularly important when something doesn’t go quite to plan, and in this respect The Mod Project has been excellent.
This review is based on the product I have actually received, seen and handled, together with my experience of their customer service. Despite the issue with the screws, I remain extremely impressed with the watch strap and genuinely cannot wait to get it onto my wrist.
Once the replacement arrives and the issue is resolved, I’ll be delighted to update my review.
Five stars so far — and if ten stars were available for customer service, I’d happily give them.
