I had a very technical support issue with The Events Calendar Pro plugin interfering with a specific functionality in my website theme. I worked with Avtar B to resolve this issue, and they were thorough, attentive, knowledgeable, and quick to resolve it. I was genuinely impressed with the amount of time and effort put into it! I have utilized The Events Calendar products for 10 years and it has been an overall very positive experience.
Excellent support and, most importantly, a real solution!
I had a difficult issue with the WordPress Block Editor on my website, which remained completely blank when editing pages. The support team took the time to investigate the problem thoroughly, asked the right questions, guided me through several tests, and eventually accessed my site to investigate it in more depth.
They identified the actual cause and fixed it. My editor is now working perfectly again!
I really appreciate the patience, professionalism and thoroughness of Abhisake Jain. Thank you so much for helping me get this resolved!
I have been using the events calendar for some time. It makes an extremely attractive display, is easy to use and the support is first rate.
I had an excellent experience working with Manoranjan from Liquid Web Software Support. He was incredibly patient and responsive throughout our entire interaction, taking the time to help me resolve an issue with editing event series recurrences. He walked me through disabling the Gutenberg editor for events, switching to the classic editor to properly display the fields, and navigating the day locks to successfully set an end date. His clear explanations helped me understand how to address my problem and manage the events deftly moving forward.
TEC has everything we need as a theater group. Outstanding support also!
The software works well and is easy to use. I reached out with an error message we were getting and support was very responsive.
Happy overall! Easy for custom development, clients love it, support is outstanding.
I would give 5 stars but there are some features that need to be added. At the top of my list is the ability to remove orphaned tickets. The messy All Tickets page is insane. There's no warning when deleting an event that has tickets attached. If you don't delete the tickets first, they will sit on your All Tickets page...forever. Messy! Grayed out, no option to delete or archive. Some of my clients have hundreds of them. While I instruct them to delete tickets before deleting the event moving forward, they always ask me to remove the orphans and it's not possible without custom PHP snippets (which I wrote and use now, but this shouldn't be something users have to deal with -- not everyone can code or has access to a developer).
That being said, I want to end on a positive note. Their product support is outstanding. I've submitted several tickets recently for a client's complex situation. They have guided me through absolutely everything. Friendly, approachable, knowledgeable -- everything you want from support.
You fill out the form and they respond in a timely manner. If it's been longer than usual they even explain why and apologize for the delayed response. The best part is you deal with one rep at a time so you're not describing the issue on repeat. A real person is interacting with you in a real email conversation that they actually continue to REPLY until the issue is resolved. *gasp*
I work with a lot of different tech companies and support can be pretty rough out there. LiquidWeb TEC has absolutely nailed it.
We've been using The Events Calendar and Promoter across our sites for many years now. There have been a couple of issues recently (related to their Promoter service, which we rely on for our own websites and client sites).
The support, though, was brilliant. Vinod stayed with us throughout the process and kept me updated while it sat with the engineering team, and I never once had to chase him for a progress update, which I really appreciated. 🙂 The engineers tracked it properly and shipped the fix in a plugin release, and that resolved the issue for us, and they made things right by us.
Really appreciated. And it's a great plugin, with all the functionality we need related to events, tickets and automated reminders. Would highly recommend.
i was answered in detail for all my questions.
the person was very polite and professionla and the response time was fast
thanks a lot
Same experience as Andrew - since Liquid Web took over its a disaster. First I could no longer login - took 10 days, 2 mails and chat to restore. Then a plugin was expired and forced to pay rediculously high amount, complaint then another amount way higher that reactivating amount. Time to find a better events calendar plugin.
I've been using The Events Calendar to build a community events platform and it's been one of the most frustrating software experiences I've had in years.
On paper, it does everything I need. In reality, I've spent weeks trying to get the CSV importer to work consistently. I've rebuilt my import files multiple times, changed date formats, tested small batches, deleted thousands of events, emptied the trash, cleared ignored events, compared imports against exports... you name it.
The biggest issue has been the importer. It decides when events are duplicates in ways that seem inconsistent, and when it updates events it randomly drops categories and other metadata. Support has acknowledged that duplicate detection and updates can affect metadata, but there are no detailed logs to actually see why something failed. That makes troubleshooting almost impossible.
The irony is that I bought the software to save time through automation, but I've spent far more time trying to make the software work than actually building my website.
It's honestly been a huge waste of time and money.
Like many people here, I remember when The Events Calendar was one of those plugins you could confidently recommend. Since the Liquid Web acquisition, it feels like the quality, reliability and overall experience have gone backwards. Reading through this thread, it's disappointing—but also reassuring—to know I'm not the only one experiencing it.
I've now reached the point where I'm abandoning the importer completely and writing my own import process. That's not something I ever expected to have to do after paying for a mature commercial plugin.
It's a real shame, because underneath all of this is a product that used to be excellent.
Great support for customizing the events calendar and plugins
I'd been using this software for years, with mostly positive experience. Until I tried reaching out for support for a billing/licencing issue under the "new" Liquid Web ownership. Absolutely no response to any of the three support tickets I've raised - I get an acknowledgement, so I know it's not a spam filter problem. They just seem to have stopped responding. I would now recommend that potential customers avoid this software like the plague due to lack of support, which is a shame because it used to work very well for our needs. We're now starting a project to assess alternatives and switch over.
I had an issue with the Events Calendar on my WordPress site and contacted support.
The support team responded quickly, took the time to understand the problem, and guided me through the troubleshooting process.
Communication was friendly, professional, and efficient throughout the whole process. I really appreciated their patience and willingness to help until everything was working again.
Thank you, especially to Archita, for the excellent support!
This plugin has been broken for 2 months - no fix, slow support. Avoid at all costs.
I had been working on the Maps integration for a couple months, with no luck. I reached out to customer service and Anthony replied and, not only offered his help, but partnered with me to make sure the WP Events Calendar was working the way I had hoped. He followed through after the problem was resolved to check in and make sure eveything was running smoothly. His kindness, knowledge and support should be used as a model. Thank you for your help.
Great, fast and informative support - helped with all needed.
Although I find Events Calendar does often have issues after updates, Chika provided excellent support, carefully read the information I sent and thoroughly investigated the issue in a methodical way. After we tried various fixes, Chika found the problem (this time, an issue with the theme) and suggested some ways to reach a solution. I'm very grateful and impressed at the care and attention provided, and that they stuck at it and didn't abandon me when the first couple of tries didn't work. Thank you

Even though my problem was small, it was hard to solve, and their support went above and beyond to get it resolved.
