Our 1-to-1 mentoring sessions were most valuable and what I learned during them are my most cherished assets. John Kelly is an excellent Career Coach. I joined the Career Coach organisation with some trepidation, as I have a very eclectic career that mixes the arts and education. I started with another coach, who was great, but I felt he just wasn't the right fit for me. I needed someone who knew more than just the corporate world. I was immediately switched to John. He has a very interesting and wide-ranging career background, so he was not bamboozled by my non-linear career past. He also seemed to understand my career dilemmas. The ones that were keeping me stuck. John has a great mix of practical advice; he is extremely knowledgeable about all things business, but also, which was more of what I needed, an ability to ask the right questions and make you think about the path ahead in a different way. He sees the work together as a process and gives you enough space and time to explore all that is jumbled in your head. I also came off every call a bit more confident, feeling there was a way for me to change my path. I have started exploring career options I didn't think were possible for me. I feel I still have a road ahead of me, but it doesn't feel so daunting anymore. I would highly recommend John.

It's not worth the price.
It was not the same like what they said for marketing when speaking through the phone and the reality of the sessions which had been delivered or whatever they call "The career path ".
Extremely disappointed and expensive cost with zero help and zero results

My first session with Ian was very productive. In a short amount of time, he gave me the confidence I needed. His guidance was clear, practical, and reassuring. His open and direct communication style made it much easier for me to understand where to begin my job-journey.

Ian has been amazing, helping me with cv, cover letter and interviewing prep. Amazing man, really reccommend this company if you need help

Unfortunately, the service did not live up to either my expectations or the promises made during the sales process.

Most of the advice provided was very generic and could easily have been found through ChatGPT, social media, or freely available online resources. Even their proprietary AI tool offered little value beyond what is already publicly accessible.

The consultant assigned to me was pleasant and professional, and I followed the recommended guidance. However, after almost a year, I have not secured a job, received a single interview, or even had a follow-up conversation to review progress or adjust the strategy.

To make matters worse, there is a strong push to subscribe to their online platform, and cancelling the subscription is unnecessarily inconvenient, requiring direct email communication rather than a simple self-service option.

Overall, I found the service expensive for the value delivered and was disappointed by the lack of tangible results, ongoing support, and accountability.

I contacted this group to help with employment.Ian was fanastic always worked around my timing for calls.Gave as much time as needed for the call.Helped me with my CV, portfolio and cover letter.excellent content and very fast.I would recommend this organisation.I am very happy with this group

I recently had an interview Prep session followed by a Mock interview with Ian and it was wonderful, gave me confidence and belief I was a valid candidate. Yesterday I got word that I was being offered the job. I am delighted. Thank you Thank you Thank you

To say Ian was an immensely insightful and excellent help would still be an understatement. Ian was exceptionally pleasant, personable and impactful in not only helping me formulate a viable career path (just in first session), but provided critically useful advice on how to tailor my CV for my career goal. I cannot recommend Ian and the wider TCC services enough. Worth every penny and every second. My only regret is not contacting them sooner!

Thoughts:

Honestly was an absolute waste of money.

Thought the facilitator seemed like a nice person but that’s the only positive.

Felt the whole process from start to finish felt purely transactional with no real care or interest if it was a good service.
Tried and made all changes by facilitator with zero and I mean zero difference. Didn’t even get one interview.
As someone who has a wealth of experience in my industry and sector (30 years) I have a huge amount of talent and skills, but the advice given by your people was basic at best.
Felt you could have partnered me with someone slightly more experienced as somebody with 30 years' experience and somebody with 3 years' experience are probably looking for different things/approaches.
Didn't even do session 4 (interview prep) as rather pointless considering the service itself did not lead to even 1 interview
Hugely disappointing as put a lot of time into researching the right career coach and your website made lots of positive statements but your service was mediocre at best.

ADDENDUM:
Got an email from the Delivery manager on Friday saying he wanted to chat with me because I had given a negative review, His email read verbatim --> "I really appreciate the feedback it's not something we are used to hearing, but nesesscary to hear if this is your honest opinion. I would like to rectify this issue, would you be available for a call next Tuesday?"

I replied to him straight away with a time to talk on Tuesday. Today is Friday ---> still waiting for that call.

Not exactly a good omen...

As I'm navigating a career search from another country, Ian and The Career Coach have been an invaluable resource to guide me along the way. I came in with an idea of what I wanted to do, but needed guidance on how to get there, and he has been so helpful every step of the way.
