Used a comparision site for house and buildings insurance. Sheilas' wheels chosen on price and cover provided and as I'd had them in the past for car insurance.
Early days yet, it's hard to give a review after only one week on how they will perform if I had to claim.
But so far so good, easy to purchase the insurance online and create a log-in for the website to view documents.

Really easy to obtain a very competitive car insurance quote online. Happy with my policy & how painless the whole process was.

Although not the cheapest home insurance quote I had through the comparison sites, SW were competitive. They were the most reasonably priced of the providers I was familiar with and the covered everything I needed. Website was pretty straightforward too, which is always a consideration for me.

Great service and very good price!

Easy to insure, a good price. Only fault is mostly done on line - I would prefer to talk to a human being, but realize that these days they call it progress. I also prefer to have physical documents I don't have the facilities or knowledge to print them myself.

So disappointing! Not the brand it was! I have been with Shelias wheels over 15 years on and off when i haven't had a company car. They have now outsourced their service meaning it is scripted, unauthentic, rude, frustrating and feels like a completely different brand. It's so disappointing. I will reluctantly be moving to a competitor.

My experience with this company was much the same as others with regard to doing things online.
It’s a system I hate but accept I have to do it.
Price comparison was in my favour.

I wanted a quote to change my car, before I bought it. App would not let me check price, only change it, so I tried getting a new quote on the website. It cleverly spotted that I had an existing policy and quoted me a multi car policy. I rang to get a quote and unfortunately the agent could not understand what I was asking, told me to use the app, told me to use the website, checked with someone else and came back telling me the same all over again. Gave up and got a quote on a comparison site just to get an idea of price where SW was about the same price as 20 others but the excess was 3 times more. Not very happy at all. Watch this space because I bought the car so tomorrow we will see if SW wants blood for changing cars or are going to charge the earth if I cancel.

Easy process, let's hope contact is as easy when we need to get information,!!

The one adviser who helped when nobody else would

I am leaving this review specifically to recognise an adviser whose name I believe was Mccalyn/McCalyn. I apologise if I have the spelling wrong, but Sheila’s Wheels/eSure should be able to identify her from my claim records.

I want to give some context because without it, it would be impossible to understand just how much her help meant.

My overall experience with this claim has caused me an enormous amount of unnecessary stress. I had spent weeks chasing different parties, repeatedly explaining the same situation and trying to get people to take ownership of what was happening.

The situation with my courtesy vehicle became particularly distressing.

Despite my own vehicle still being unresolved, I was being told the courtesy vehicle had to be returned. I contacted Sheila’s Wheels repeatedly looking for help. I spoke to multiple people and was essentially told there was nothing they could do.

It eventually escalated to the point where I was being threatened with police involvement over the return of the vehicle.

That is the level of stress I was under when I eventually spoke to this adviser.

What makes her service stand out is that she was dealing with exactly the same circumstances and information that others had dealt with before her — yet instead of simply telling me nothing could be done, she listened, understood the history and took ownership of the problem.

She was genuinely surprised by how much chasing and coordination I had been forced to do myself throughout the claim.

More importantly, she acted.

She managed to get the courtesy-car extension brought up to date and resolved the immediate situation, despite me previously being repeatedly told that this couldn’t be done.

That distinction is important.

At a point where I was extremely stressed, being passed between people and facing the possibility of police involvement over something connected to an unresolved insurance claim, she was the person who actually stepped in and helped.

She was confident, competent, compassionate and solution-focused. She didn’t just apologise for what had happened — she did something about it.

My wider experience with this claim remains something I have serious concerns about, and I don’t want this review to disguise that. This review is specifically about recognising an individual member of staff who demonstrated exactly what good customer service should look like when the wider process had failed.

I would genuinely like Sheila’s Wheels/eSure to identify her from my claim records and ensure this feedback reaches both her and her manager.

She deserves to be recognised for what she did.
