I am really annoyed with Huk-Coburg
I am really annoyed with Huk-Coburg. If you are an expat living in Germany with a spouse and you are over 55, avoid this company for health insurance. Try expat insurance first. Do not make the same mistake as me and end up with a HUGE monthly insurance cost thanks to HUK.
I am also VERY disappointed with the communication. I called up HUK while I was in the USA to finish my move. I wanted to talk to someone about the health insurance cost. The assistant refused to talk to me without the health insurance number. I offered every other way to prove identity and it was refused and she ended the call.
Lastly, regarding the agent in Lemgo who represents HUK-COBURG. I sent a request for help via the HUK portal to the representative in LEMGO. NOTHING back at all.
HUK is rubbish. AVOID IF YOU CAN.

Professional, friendly, and comprehensive insurance service
I would like to share my positive experience with Katja Albertshofer, who assisted me with my car insurance policy today. Katja was incredibly professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. She took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly, leaving no doubt in my mind that she deserves a five-star rating for her excellent customer service. Furthermore, I found the insurance coverage to be very comprehensive and the pricing highly competitive. I am very satisfied with the service provided.

I was a bit disappointed on the time it took to sort out my No claims bonus, 7 months is a bit long to get my insurance sorted out.
