Great service

Great service! I ordered DIY supplies online and there was an issue with my delivery, so I contacted customer service. They were extremely helpful and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ganlys Athlone.

Faulty chainsaw

🛑🛑Avoid Avoid Avoid 🛑🛑

Its being my first time dealing with ganleys athlone. Normally buy all my supplies from chadwicks or b&q.

I bought a pro plus elite chainsaw a week ago from ganleys. I got advice by the staff on the floor to buy the most expensive one. As it was the best one to buy. And will last longer. And more powerful. I bought it. Forward one week. And the components started to melt inside. And chain kept coming off. Worst chainsaw I ever had. So I went in today to get a refund on my faulty item. And the staff was so rude. The manager came over and was so rude and dismissive. And refused to give me a refund. Kept saying if you wanted a good chainsaw. Why didnt you buy a husgvarna. And was shouting and me. And said we have to send it away to get fixed. And I told him i didnt want it fixed. I wanted my return. And it will happen again. And said we doing have to give you a return. Our consumer rights. Looked it up and it said a business has to give a return if item is faulty. And kept saying that doesn't work here. We are ganleys. The ower came over and was rude and kept saying we arnt giving you a return. And that our rights. I told them Il be taking this further and he laughed and said we dont care. Worst experience of unprofessional staff. So rude. Id highly avoid. If you want to keep your money. Id avoid. 🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑

I had to get paint in Ganly’s today

I had to get paint in Ganly’s today. The colour I needed was out of stock in the size I wanted.

Eric couldn't have done any more to help sort me out, even involving Mark on the phone who was out sick. I was concerned about having to have Mark get involved but between them, they sorted me out with a mixed colour.

It shows, once again, the benefit of shopping locally with a great shop. Well done Michael Ganly and the lads…

Maybe a simple hello and thank you…

Maybe a simple hello and thank you…
Maybe a simple hello and thank you might be in order.
Purchased an item in store and the lady I dealt with was very friendly, paid for it and had to go to the yard to collect.
There were three guys there and I handed the docket to one of them who took it and said nothing, handed it to another who said nothing and went to get the item..he put it in my car, I said thanks and got no response.
What happened to hello and thanks. This happened in the Longford store and I'll def. go somewhere else next time.
