I called EDF two days ago with queries about their tariffs. My call was answered by Kevin. He answered my questions directly and clearly and gave me the reassurance I needed before choosing my next fixed tariff. It was very much appreciated that I could actually talk to someone about my concerns. A bonus these days.

As best as could be expected
While the advisor wasn't able to solve my problem, related to my smart meter in-home device, she was kind and courteous, and fortunately I did not have to wait too long for my call to be answered.
However, EDF's customer service is no longer what it was; it used to have a freephone number and 24-hour webchat allowing me to flag problems up, whereas now the telephone helpline is only available until 5pm Monday to Thursday, 4pm on Friday, and closed all weekend.
