Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 314 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers reported significant product quality and functionality issues, with devices often failing shortly after purchase or having defects like non-working cameras, ports, or screens. Products were frequently found unreliable and of poor build quality, leading people to feel the high price was unjustified. Customer service was widely criticized for being unhelpful, slow, and difficult to reach regarding repairs, returns, and warranty claims. However, some customers found certain products offered good performance for gaming and work, with reasonable pricing and expansion options. A few others also praised specific support agents for providing great service, sometimes resolving issues like screen repairs for free.

Bought a Xbox Ally X for $1,000 on Best Buy. 18 days later the right trigger was broken. The device was not dropped and I did not damage this what so ever as I take great care of my technology. Best Buy wouldn’t exchange or replace the device. I called ASUS as it was under warranty but I had to pay for shipping and a box. I don’t care if it’s $1 or $100,000 I should not be responsible for paying ANYTHING to get this product fixed after I spent $1,000 already plus only owning it for 18 days. NEVER will I buy an ASUS product again. Selling this on the market for cheap and getting the LENOVO LEGION GO.

Scarily, an Asus

I own a ZenBook s16. Beautiful, sleek laptop. Nice typing experience. However, it's oled screen breaks down once a year, each time it took nearly a month for parts to repair. No replacement laptop, only an expiring warranty that got me panicking when will the next breakdown be. Recent breakdown, I could not reformat this laptop, meaning all my data are on the laptop. Then what happen next? My credit card was hacked and charged a thousand USD. Luckily the bank promptly reversed it. While I'm not hinting the technician who service this laptop is the culprit, I can't help but feel someone could have leak some information. This is probably my last window device, likely going the Mac way, this is the way.

AVOID ASUS.... AVOID AVOID AVOID

Just bought Zenbook A16 UX3607OA (Order number: 1089668) for over £2000. Extremely poor quality machine. Less than 1 week and it doesn't turn on (fan starts working very loudly and screen is black). Have to unplug and force shut down then start again. Also screen suddenly goes black. Not what you expect from an extremely expensive machine. If I could give a Zero I would have

Asus installs bloatware that not only slows down your computer and interferes with needed nVidia drivers, but they also make it as impossible to remove as they can. I well never buy another Asus again. I have a laptop have had about 3 years. I have tried everything to get this uninstalled, but within 2 weeks it reinstalls itself using Windows system to lock you out.

I seriously recommend people DO NOT BUY this massively overpriced JUNK! you do not deserve the misery of owning this rubbish, PLEASE AVOID at all costs.

I bought an Asus ProArt P16 back in late 2025, and its the most unreliable, glitchy piece of JUNK I've ever had the misfortune to own! I did my research and checked the ProArt reviews and now I realise you can't trust any of that junk either, every review seriously rated the ProArt P16!?? But I have absolutely no idea how or why! It refuses to start all the time and now, it just crashes and restarts for a pass time... I will never buy Asus garbage again, as long as I live, but I seriously recommend people DO NOT BUY this massively overpriced JUNK! either, you do not deserve the misery of owning this rubbish, PLEASE AVOID at all costs, learn from my mistake!

1 Star – Disappointing Experience from Purchase to After-Sales Support

I purchased an ASUS laptop from Sharaf DG Mall of the Emirates after discussing several options with the sales team. The salesperson and sales manager recommended ASUS and explained that, in the event of any warranty issue, repairs would normally take around 5–7 working days and that a replacement solution could be provided if necessary.

Unfortunately, my actual experience has been completely different.

The laptop was submitted for warranty repair almost 20 days ago, and I am still waiting. I have not received a replacement device, a replacement laptop, or a refund. The only update I continue to receive is that the required spare part has not yet arrived.

Had I known that a warranty repair could leave me without my laptop for weeks with no clear timeline or alternative solution, I would have seriously reconsidered my purchase decision.

I trusted the advice provided at the time of sale and expected a level of after-sales support that matched those expectations. Sadly, the reality has been very disappointing.

This experience has significantly reduced my confidence in both the product recommendation process and the after-sales support provided.

ASUS ROG desktop is by far the worst PC…

ASUS ROG desktop is by far the worst PC i ever had, and my first PC was Sinclair ZX81... so I went through all ages of home computing.
From the very beginning, despite impressive configuration, never had more noisy PC even when load was minimal and could be done even with average laptop.
The end came out of the blue and in the worst possible moment - PC simply ended in boot loop (attempting to start for a few seconds, switches off, then starts again.. and continues in indefinite loop).
All this on PC that was mainly used for office work, no hard gaming, no tweaks,.. nothing out of recommended practices.
Reading tips and tricks how to solve it is painful. Currently working on 15 years old HP which works million times better then this crap of ASUS ever did.
Avoid!

I purchased The ASUS ROG Flow z13 and…

I purchased The ASUS ROG Flow z13 and never received the stylus. There was a box within the packaging that had a slot for the stylus, but it was empty. When I called ASUS, I discussed this, and talked about returning the item. Instead of offering me the missing stylus, they encouraged the easier option of returning it entirely. However, I had already opened the packaging, and would have had to pay a reshelving fee, I'm sure, and I'm sure I would have been penalized for the missing stylus.
I called later saying that I wanted to keep the laptop, and just wanted the stylus, but they said there was no proof of that discussion. The agent didn't report that in their notes!! That was the entire reason why a conversation about a return happened in the first place!!
And so, I called again, months later, recently, asking about the status of my claim--to which they said that the last info they had was my first inquiry about the return policy, which was even before my inquiry into the missing stylus that resulted in a printed return label.
So they called me a liar! Because that second agent didn't document the stylus being the whole theme of it all.
And after my last call, she gaslit me about it. Denied my memory of the discussion, only pointing to the first one about the return policy when I was trying to decide between two laptops, and then saying that the second conversation that resulted in a return label was pinned to that, which it wasn't!
And the last person I spoke to said they would "escalate the case", and that I'd hear back from them--but I never did.

At this point, I need help from you guys to mediate this dispute, and hopefully urge ASUS to "finish the job", and send me the item that was missing from the packaging.
I mean, its a touch screen tablet advertised for creators.... the stylus is like the most crucial tool for what this item is advertised as, lol.

I need help.

Thank you for your time. <3

My laptop packaging came with an empty slot for where the stylus was supposed to be. I've tried to contact ASUS, but their documentation has been a complete failure, and when I try to tell each new agent about this issue, and the previous conversations that I've had with them, they call me a liar because they don't have any record of that. Which is the fault of the previous agent! not mine. I finally, after MONTHS (purchased in November, and most recent phone call was June), they still haven't taken it seriously. They keep saying that they're "escalating the claim", and that I'd hear back within 48 hours, but then that never happens! And then when I call again, they say there are no notes about the discussion of the missing stylus. They're gaslighting me, bro, lol. Cause they don't want to send one out. THIS LAPTOP COST 2,000 DOLLARS!!!! And it's advertised as a versatile device for creators....THE STYLUS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART FOR THAT FUNCTION!! (OR AT LEAST THE FUNCTION THAT THEY MARKET IT FOR). Ugh. What a rip off. Not to mention the battery only lasts 20 minutes, so it's basically just the tiniest desktop of all time. Creativity device, my ass. Forgot to put the stylus in the packaging. And now their customer service agents are gaslighting me about it. For shame. Avoid at all cost. OR AT THE VERY LEAST, *********DO NOT PURCHASE DIRECTLY FROM THE COMPANY WEBSITE. ********** I'm sure Best Buy would have fixed it immediately. -__-

Purchase arrived opened.

Purchased a rather expensive monitor, box was delivered by DPD open and the driver tried to take a photo of the non-open part when he passed it on. Also the box had a caved in corner like it was dropped. Had to accept it as couldnt wait for a replacement so fingers crossed its not broke. Also contacted ASUS and emailed them the delivery photo and had no response, same with DPD gave the delivery a thumbs down and no response either. Terrible service.

Two Screen Replacements in 9 Months on 2300 eur computer

I bought a premium ASUS ZenBook S16 for 2300 eur and was very disappointed.

The screen broke after only a 2 months. ASUS replaced the whole screen, but a 6 months later the same problem happened again. The screen had to be replaced a second time.

ASUS would not replace the laptop. They told me that if it breaks again and needs a third (!!!!!!) hardware repair, then they may issue a credit note.

I paid a lot of money for this laptop and expected it to last much longer without major problems. After two screen replacements in less than a year, I no longer trust this product and will NEVER AGAIN buy this brand.

Lost the trust

The laptop itself is decent, but my purchasing experience has been disappointing.

I purchased this Asus VivoBook 15 specifically because the product page indicated that it included a fingerprint sensor. After receiving the laptop, I discovered that no fingerprint sensor was present.

When I contacted Asus support, the first representative actually confirmed that my laptop should have had a fingerprint sensor. After I sent photos proving that it did not, I was later told that the fingerprint sensor specification applied only to a global variant and not to the UK model sold on the Asus UK website.

The fact that even Asus support was initially confused shows that the product information was not clear. Customers should not have to guess which specifications apply to which regional variants.

In addition, while setting up the laptop, I checked the warranty information and found that the warranty appeared to have started last year and was showing only a few days remaining before expiry, despite the laptop having been purchased just two days earlier 07/06/2026. This raised serious concerns about the accuracy of the warranty registration and left me questioning how a newly purchased device could show an almost-expired warranty.

I spent a lot of time researching laptops before making this purchase, and the fingerprint sensor was one of the reasons I chose this model. Had the information been presented accurately, I could have made an informed decision before ordering.

Asus should review and correct its product listings and warranty registration processes to ensure customers receive clear and accurate information about the exact model being sold.

absolute garbage quality control

the build quality on their new laptops is a joke. the plastic stains instantly and after 6 months the keyboard has keys that do not even register anymore. live chat support is completely useless, they just copy paste the same automated answers and do not care at all. 1200e down the drain. stay far away from this brand, they are trash now.

Buyer Beware: Terrible Enterprise Experience – Deficient I/O Architecture & Zero Price Protection

Buyer Beware: Terrible Enterprise Experience – Deficient I/O Architecture & Zero Price Protection

Paid a premium $1,599.99 plus tax for the flagship ASUS Zenbook S 16 (UM5606) for my media production firm, only to face immediate operational bottlenecks. The laptop features a highly restrictive physical layout of only two USB-C ports. Because the factory wall charger must permanently occupy one port to sustain power under rendering loads, you are left with exactly ONE functional data lane for high-res displays, audio peripherals, and inputs simultaneously. To make matters worse, ASUS dropped the price of this identical model by $400 ($1,199.99) days after my purchase. When escalated to standard support, it went unanswered. When I escalated this issue to the "Office of the CEO" (Case: N2606006154-0001), their representatives hid behind rigid boilerplate scripts, refusing to offer a simple first-party docking solution to bridge their intentional architecture deficiency or honor a basic price adjustment. Complete lack of corporate accountability or customer retention for enterprise users. Will never spend another penny with ASUS. They have certainly lost a high-value customer. Avoid this trash company.

Asus Junk !

Asus - I had my router less then 2 years and it burnt out, a 400.00. Then I call Asus and they tell me the warranty is up and its the hardware and needs to be serviced. Stay away from this brand. The worst customer service, as this brand builds crap, sells crap then they do not stand behind it after paying top $$$ for a router. Never again Asus, and hope this brand goes under. People beware !

I will never buy another Asus

Bought a new laptop that was supposed to have a one-year warranty. It didn't work. I sent it in for warranty repair only to discover that my one-year warranty was only good for a month. They promised to get back to me in 7 days - nothing for 3 months. After 3 months they told me that they could not repair the laptop nor could they exchange it nor would they give me a refund. They gave me a credit at the store where I bought the original laptop. The problem was during those 3 MONTHS of waiting, they discontinued that model and the replacement model was more expensive (of course). More expensive does NOT mean better. This piece of $hit is the worst computer I have ever owned, has many problems AND has no warranty despite being a brand new computer. I'm so upset that I need to warn other buyers to STAY AWAY FROM ASUS!!!
