Horrendous customer service. Purchased 12 large 15kg bags of pellets our trolley over flowing. I Asked politely if the cashier could ask for help, as we were struggling to move the trolley she said “there’s no one available”! So I pointed at the two members of staff (one was a man) who was stood chatting with another employee with their arms crossed, laughing. And said “please could she ask him to help us” (we are two women, mother and daughter)…she replied that “it’s not OBI policy to assist customers”. Then her colleagues on another cash desk shouted across for her “to check that we had told her about the two bags of cat food” which I already had, as soon as I arrived. Making us feel like thieves !!! Appalling customer service. Will buy our pellet’s else where. I prefer to pay slightly more and receive a helpful friendly service! And no we are not tourist we live here and speak Italian and she understood us perfectly well and it’s not the first time I’ve found the cashiers rude.

I had an unpleasant encounter with rude staff and unprofessional local director Marco in Obi Trieste yesterday. I was looking for an awning and saw that they had 2 in stock in Obi Trieste. Since my schedule is quite bussy I sat in a van and drove app 70km to them on sunday only to find out that it was all for nothing. The item was not on stock. Rude staff (the girl from specific department) and local director which i requested were seeking all kind of excuses when an sincere appology would be enough. According to Marco, the OBI's website in the information age is just for decoration.
