Terrible app and service to resolve an issue after 1 sale but unable to connect 2 major bank accounts or credit cards, and after 2 hours still no resolution or ability to send the item to the buyer. I asked to cancel the order and refund the buyer and close the account and the person did not want to help me with this request. The app and website function terribly and customer service needs a revamp. Hopefully they are better in responding in email and resolving issue and my request via email. Let's see.

For the second time I purchased and item, the seller agreed and promised the ship it the next working day, this is a legal agreement when the seller and buyer agree and pay, however somehow the seller still has the option to cancel, which is strange and against the law. I will never use Wallapop online purchasing again, what a total scam. No buyer protection just seller protection!!

Good morning,
I have clearly been the victim of a scam, and I possess complete evidence of the entire process. Despite this, Wallapop rejected the dispute without any valid justification.
On 14/08/2026, I opened the dispute approximately two hours after receiving the parcel, strictly within the legal 48 hour deadline. At that moment, I submitted full, continuous and unequivocal evidence of the fraud, including the complete video of the parcel being opened without cuts, photographs of the box and the courier label, and the shipment details for parcel no. 89838911. I also provided a link containing all the files. I purchased an Xtool F1 laser machine valued at around €480 and instead received a low value brown jacket. The seller himself acknowledged in the initial dispute that the item delivered did not correspond to the advertised product, which should have been sufficient to validate the claim.
Wallapop has direct access to the listing and product link, as they are hosted within their own platform. The weight discrepancy can be easily verified through the InPost network and is evident in the video: a machine of this type weighs around 4 kg, whereas the courier’s recorded weight is clearly under 1 kg. This alone demonstrates that the parcel could not contain the advertised product. In addition, I have eyewitnesses, including my father, who was present when the parcel was opened.
All the evidence Wallapop requested on the 17th had already been submitted on 14/08/2026 when the dispute was opened. The claim that information was missing is therefore false and demonstrates an error in the review of the case. Furthermore, I never received any email requesting additional information, and the dispute link provided by Wallapop never worked, making it impossible to respond. The ticket ID is 18846634.
The response I received today stating that “it is not possible to block the funds” shows that the operator did not carefully analyse the situation, did not review the evidence provided, and that Wallapop has not acknowledged the error made during the evaluation process. The resolution reflects a superficial and incorrect review, incompatible with the platform’s own procedures.
Delivering an item that is manifestly different from the one contracted constitutes a breach of contract, a misleading commercial practice, and a violation of consumer protection legislation in both Spain and Portugal. It also infringes the European legal framework, including Directive 2011/83/EU and Regulation (EU) 2017/2394. Wallapop’s refusal to resolve the dispute lacks legal basis and contradicts the verifiable evidence provided.
Given the seriousness of the situation and the clear evidence of fraud, I formally request the full refund of the purchase. If Wallapop does not proceed with an immediate resolution, all documentation will be forwarded to the competent authorities in Portugal and Spain, the European Consumer Centres Network, my bank for the opening of a fraud investigation, and the police authorities, as this is a case of fraud involving deceptive delivery.
This message, along with any response from Wallapop, will be added to the case file. I expect a clear and definitive resolution.
Regards

At first, Wallapop seemed pretty promising. There was a lot of activity in the bike parts section—tons of listings, reasonable prices, and cheap, convenient shipping to Portugal. But then I ran into an issue that completely ruined the platform for me.
Horrible Packaging and Non-Existent Support
I bought an item from a seller in Barcelona. He packed it horribly—literally just threw the item into a box and taped it shut with a single layer of tape. Unsurprisingly, the box ripped open during transit, and part of the order spilled out and was lost.
I left him a 3 out of 5-star review, explaining the issue. To my surprise, I realized you can’t even attach photos to a review! The main proof of my case—a completely smashed box—was of zero interest to the platform.
Vengeful Sellers and a Broken Rating System
It gets worse. Shortly after, the seller slid into my DMs, calling me a horrible person and insulting me for "ruining his rating." Then, he went ahead and gave me a 1-star buyer review. Who even came up with the idea to let sellers rate buyers?! Why is that even a feature?
I reached out to support, explaining that his review was purely out of revenge, pointing out his insults, and begging for a way to send them the photos.
My first message was completely ignored while my buyer rating dropped.
A week later, I tried again. Their response? "The seller has the right to leave any review they deem objective."
They completely ignored the insults and the photo evidence. Basically: "Thanks for contacting us, now please go away."
The Final Straw
A bit later, I tried to buy a rare NJS part at a great price. Ten minutes after placing the order, it got canceled. The seller messaged me saying: "Sorry, I don't want to do business with you because you gave a low rating to a previous seller."
I deleted my account that exact day.
Mind you, Wallapop charges a buyer protection fee of around €3 on every single purchase. "Buyer protection"—what a joke.

tried once, opening an account. Being on holiday in Spain I do not have a Spanish mobile number. But they ask for one. I wonder why another EU number dies not work??? Anyhow, used a fake number for registration, what else coud I do, ordered and immediately wrote to the seller my real number and WhatsApp. One day later my account was blocked. I again immediately reacted, described the situation and the issue about the mobile number. One more day later my PayPal account was charged (even though my Wallapop account was blocked) with the payment for the order. Wallapop has until now, after more than two days, not reacted to my explanations, my Wallapop account is still closed, and requests to at least refund me are unheard by them. The parcel has neither been sent. When I write to them their only reaction is that I shall request the reopening of my account (what I had dine). Terrible experience during holidays in Spain, and have the impression I am not the only one suffering from it. I would not use them anymore, would not recommend. They are not serious and trying to rip off clients. Be careful.

I was scammed by a user and the dispute was refused by wallapop even after I sent a video showing the defect in the product. I am now forced to pay around 25% extra of the total to fix it. (the product was sold as "perfectly functional" and "in perfect condition"

automatic replies to everything plus the app allows fraudulent sellers to escalate claims to an agent of the app so they can apply policies of their so called protection cover which, of course, favour the seller of faulty and mis sold items.
The dispute has been settled in my favour in a fairly rapid process and rightly so. Although I should mention that it was a little stressful to receive an email from the agent saying that they hadn't received my links when I could see that they had been sent successfully two hours earlier. I'll update review when I have the refund in my bank.

I have used Wallapop for years and I am a 5-star seller myself. I understand how the platform works and I have always tried to use it correctly.
However, the one time I needed proper support from Wallapop as a buyer, the help was very limited.
I bought a Stadler Form Oskar Big humidifier through Wallapop from the seller “Electronica G.” At the time of purchase, the seller profile appeared to be a professional seller and displayed company-related information.
After the product developed a defect, I contacted EZON, the company linked to the seller profile information. EZON initially asked for photos/video and later gave instructions related to a warranty claim. They also asked me to contact them through the original Wallapop transaction chat so they could identify the order and link it to the claim.
However, the original purchase chat is no longer visible or accessible in my Wallapop account. Wallapop confirmed that they cannot reopen the closed case or chat, and told me that EZON must contact Wallapop directly through the Help Centre if they need information.
This leaves me stuck between Wallapop, the seller “Electronica G.” and EZON, even though this concerns a statutory warranty issue rather than the normal 48-hour buyer-protection period.
I provided Wallapop with transaction details, screenshots and the tracking number, but there is still no clear practical solution from Wallapop to help connect the warranty claim to the original professional seller transaction.
As both a regular user and a 5-star seller on the platform, I find this very disappointing. Wallapop’s process does not seem adequate when a buyer needs to exercise warranty rights against a professional seller after the buyer-protection period has expired.

I got scammed by a Wallapop user that have reviews. I reported and asked for support: I needed at least the profile information to report to the police.
They blocked the user so I could not retrieve nor the public data of the scam user nor the picture of the bike I was purchasing. The purchase was in presence and it was very dangerous. They stole me the 55 euro of the bike and kept the bike.

UPDATE (25 July): The issue was resolved today.
UPDATE (17 July): Still not sorted. Nobody got in touch, and the dispute changed from "return approved" to "rejected" with no email and no reason given. Support isn't replying. A company this big delivered a 30 kg box to my door with its own courier but can't come and pick it up. On Monday I'm taking this to consumer protection.
------
I bought a product that arrived defective and I want to return it. Wallapop gave me a label to drop it off at a Correos office, but the package weighs more than 30 kg, above the limit Correos accepts, so they will not take it. It was delivered to my home by SEUR, and I have asked for the return to be collected the same way, but support has stopped replying. Meanwhile the return deadline is running out and no one gives me a solution. Very disappointed with the customer service.

Even after replying to my negative review on trustpilot, the support team keeps saying that they won’t answer any more emails even though my package ( I sold an iphone on wallapop ) was sent 2 days before getting suspended.

I purchased a Google Pixel 8 Pro through Wallapop and received it on 27 June 2026. When it arrived, the phone turned on and appeared to work normally, so I confirmed the purchase in good faith without waiting for the 48-hour period, allowing the seller to receive the payment immediately.
Two days later, after the first full battery discharge, the phone entered an endless bootloop and became completely unusable.
I contacted the seller immediately, but he refused to take any responsibility. I then contacted Wallapop and provided all the evidence, explaining that the defect only appeared after delivery and could not reasonably have been detected when I confirmed receipt.
Wallapop refused to examine the reported hidden defect and rejected my claim solely because I had pressed the "Everything is OK" button. No technical assessment of the fault was carried out.
I have escalated the case to the European Consumer Centre (ECC Portugal, case ECCPT-22370) and to Klarna, providing a complete dossier with all communications, supporting documents, photographs and videos of the defect.
I remain determined to pursue all available consumer protection and legal remedies until this matter is fairly resolved. I expected Wallapop to assess the evidence impartially instead of automatically rejecting my claim based solely on the delivery confirmation.

I used Wallapop for a sale of a Canon 60D camera and the experience has been extremely poor in terms of transparency and communication.
I sold the camera for €50. The buyer was fully informed about known issues before purchase, and the price reflected those issues. The buyer received the item, but shortly after, their account was removed by Wallapop. I contacted support and was told the transaction would continue normally.
Just before the review period ended, the buyer opened a dispute. I was not given any notification or clear explanation at the time. My funds were frozen and the item is now in the return process.
Wallapop has now accepted the return, stating “mal funcionamiento del producto” (product malfunction), but they have not provided any specific explanation of what the alleged issue is or how it differs from the description I provided. I have repeatedly asked for clarification and received only generic responses.
At this point, I do not know:
what exact issue the buyer reported
what evidence was used to justify the decision
why the buyer’s account was removed
how missing items or condition on return will be handled
The main issue here is not only the outcome, but the lack of transparency throughout the process. As a seller, I have had my money held and my item removed from my possession without being given clear information about the claim being made.
Based on this experience, I no longer feel confident using Wallapop for shipping transactions. The process feels opaque and offers very limited protection or information to sellers when disputes arise.

AVOID THIS WEBSITE/APP AT ALL COSTS.
It is filled with scammers that hunt first time users in particular. Also, if you fall for the scam and catch it 1 hour, you will not be able to get the money back or block the transaction. The bank cannot do anything. The authorities cannot do anything. This fact is why scammers continue to appear. It is because they get away with it. SO STAY AWAY FROM SCAM NESTS LIKE WALLAPOP.

Terrible service—the shipping company they hired damaged the item, and the carrier itself admitted in their records that they had damaged it. Yet now they want to blame the seller, who isn’t at fault at all. I’m the buyer, and I don’t think it’s fair what they’re trying to do to the seller! I won’t use this site again, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone sell or buy here! It’s a total scam!
Their comment is just an attempt to shut me up and save face! Obviously, before writing the review, I tried talking to customer support, but they couldn't care less...
