What a scam racket

Nothing but a pure scam. The RSA continuously fail people for stupid reasons, or for no valid one. Feedback delivered after test is always kept as vague as possible and in most instances leaves you scratching your head, wondering where most the faults came from. In Wexford, I've had the misfortune of dealing with inept examiners. Not a clue what they're doing, on my recent test a few weeks ago I drove really well but was still failed for mistakes that I didn't actually make? How does that make sense? I guess they need to exploit young applicants in order to cover the cost of running their Mercedes cars. A joke.

No notice given for change in location.

I was given no text message for the change in my driving test centre.
Only an email lest than 24 hours before my test date. No refund was offered when I arrived. Had to pay another 85 euro for a test. Even though I was allegedly entitled to a refund.

I recently had troubles with the booking of my driving test and I had called the RSA to fix it. I was met on the phone by Brendan and he sorted the problem out for me straight away with reassurance. Fantastic customer service.

If there was 0 stars to give

If there was 0 stars to give, i would have.
My car passed the nct, but didn't have ID with me on the day. I was told I'd have to come back with an ID to get the cert. There was no word of having to have the car with me. Today was th third time I came back as the centre randomly closes for training during working hrs, which is not displayed on the building on the display unit of the opening hours. Today was my third time and I'm only told now to have the car qith me! For what exactly i have no idea, as the cert will eventually get handed to me, not placed into the car. I can basically put it into any other car which what this nonsense rule is supposed to prevent. Lots of mileage and time has been burnt for nothing. I should encourage everyone to not get NCT done at nct centres, but unfortunately there is no alternative. That's Fonthill centre, but I'm sure idiotic rules apply everywhere and burocrats stick to them everywhere. Thanks a million, well done!!!

Badly judged TV ad...

My only experience is with some of their TV ads. The worst one is the older lady crossing the road at the pedestrian crossing. When the young driver sees her and stops the tagline that comes up is "watch out for older pedestrians on the road." That suggests drivers should only consider older people crossing and everyone else is fair game! All they had to do was leave out the word "older" as drivers (and cyclists for that matter) should be watching out for everyone. It's such an ill judged ad that probably cost a fortune...

Rsa is not fit for purpose

Rsa is not fit for purpose. Should be completely scrapped. Nothing to do with individual tester or centers. The organisation as a whole can not deliver the service it has undertaken to deliver. For decades people can not get a test or retest in reasonable time periods. This has been happening for decades with no improvement. Endless excuses and no results or accountability. If this was truly private sector it would be out of business. Stop with excuses and find a mechanism that can deliver. Not a different name with the same invested people that this corrupt structure normal delivers.

Being a frontline person I applied for…

Being a frontline person I applied for being on the priority list.I got a No-reply mail stating I m not eligible. How nice, they don't give any reason and there's no way you can answer, since they send it through a No -reply mail.
I payed the fee of 85€ for the test, which is secluded at the end of this year. All that time they have my money without delivering. And there are thousands of people waiting.A nice sum to invest.
When I go to the supermarket I get my groceries right away when I pay.

Testers are making up things to fail…

Testers are making up things to fail you, been driving for nearly 4 years and had two tests during that time. They just make shit up to fail people to keep the money coming in. Terrible service and terrible testers, website is a pure mess too.

Navan test centre is a joke.

This service is a joke. Especially NAVAN TEST CENTRE. Failed twice and on the second asked where I got marks so I could improve only to be told that they are not allowed to tell you. A complete lie as the first test I was told about every individual fault. Not the only one either. Sat in the test centre for 2.5 hours one day and only one person passed in that time. Not to mention multiple people getting no grade 2s and all of a sudden a grade 3 appears. Money stealing fraudsters. And a 41 week wait just to be failed? because it seems to be a pattern in Navan. The RSA and NDLS are both as useful as a chocolate teapot. When is this fraud going to stop because I know I’m sure as hell sick of it.

Such a bad service

Such a bad service. How can a government service be so useless. The website is terrible too, you have to wait 20 minutes to get onto the website, then when you get there, it tells you what you are looking for is down for maintenance. This has happened multiple times, on different days. How about putting our taxes back into our Country and infrastructure, instead of ridiculously inflated politicians salaries and pensions.

This country has become such a joke. It makes me sad.

Terrible Customer Experience

I was adding on more lessons, and had a scenario where I cancelled one prior to christmas. I dealt with probably the most strange and rudest man over the phone in customer service. Instructor is great but the customer service from them is awful.

Dealing with RSA is a nightmare

Dealing with RSA is a nightmare. To get a test you need to wait months, and a re-test is no better. They only accept foreign licenses from a limited number of countries while other EU countries accept much more countries (that's while EU countries accept each others' licenses! Hypocritical system!). Pass rates across the country are around 50% (not to mention in Dublin they are mostly around 40%). You keep getting rejected just to overwork this inefficient system even more. Go and come back in 2 months and the queues will never drain, it's the same all over again. As an experienced driver the only reason I have to deal with this horrible system is that they don't accept my foreign license, and they say "we can't help it" when confronted about their inefficiencies. You can, you don't care enough to do anything about it. Apathetic as always.

The roads can have no signs and if you make a mistake because of a lack of clear signage on the road, it's YOUR fault, RSA does not want to ever accept any fault on their side.

The learner system is a disaster for people who have moved to Ireland, because it is based on having a family who can provide you with a car, otherwise it is ten times as difficult!
