Rabot Energy kauft Strom kurzfristig über den Day-Ahead- und Intraday-Markt ein und gibt den Börsenpreis stündlich an Kund*innen weiter. So können zum Beispiel E-Autos automatisiert dann geladen werden, wenn der Börsenstrompreis in einem festgelegten Ladezeitfenster besonders gering ist. Wenn viel Wind- und Solarstrom im Netz ist, ist Strom an der Börse typischerweise günstiger – wer dann lädt, wäscht oder heizt, zahlt weniger.
Den Energieverbrauch sowie das smarte und automatisierte Energiemanagement können Verbraucher*innen in Echtzeit in der Rabot Energy App nachverfolgen und steuern. Ziel ist es, intelligenten Stromkonsum für jeden zugänglich zu machen.

Not capable to provide sound invoices / incompetent customer service
This company has no proper reporting system for invoicing and also lacking a customer service which is interested or able to understand even german written emails.
After 8 months of expensive supply of energy I dediced to change to a professional energy provider. I received a final settlement bill which I paid in time. 6 months after leaving Rabot Energy I received notice by email that I am lacking a payment which was invoiced to me during the period of service, actually 2 months before I decided to leave this start-up. The amount on this informal reminder was equal to more than 2 in advance payments for a month. There was no explaination and no statement why this reminder of an obviously never delivered invoice is due or owed to Rabot Energy. One week later I received a formal request from a debt collection agent. The total amount is 80€ but when I asked what the reason for this additional invoice is I did not receive an understandable explanation. Outcome we are now going to court. I think this start-up does not support proper invoicing, customer processes or even general business practices.
