If you mean Lévy and Gumbel distributions, here are simple human-language definitions:

Lévy Distribution: A probability distribution used to describe random events where very large values can occasionally occur. It is often used for processes involving long jumps or extreme variations.

Gumbel Distribution: A probability distribution mainly used to study extreme values, such as the highest rainfall, maximum temperature, largest flood, or strongest wind recorded over a period.

In short:
