The transaction fees are really starting to eat into my margins. Support is also much slower than it used to be. Had some issues getting the API to play nicely with my site.

€100,000 frozen for weeks — looks lime they stolen me as no clear explanation or release date
Very disappointing experience with Stripe via Juuli.
On 11 August 2026, I received a legitimate €100,000 business payment into my Juuli account held in Stripe technology, against a valid invoice for professional services. Shortly afterwards, access to the funds was restricted.
I immediately cooperated with the compliance process and provided the documentation requested by Juuli ad Stripe.
I also independently contacted the originating bank. I was informed that there is no Recall, recovery request, fraud claim, cancellation request or other recovery action pending against this payment. The sender has also confirmed that the payment was intentional, legitimate and undisputed.
Despite this, the €100,000 remains unavailable.
What is particularly frustrating is the lack of transparency. I have not received a clear explanation of the specific reason for continuing to restrict the funds, nor a definite date for when the money will be released. Stripe and Juuli.com customer care do ping pong each other.
These are legitimate business funds, and keeping €100,000 unavailable for such an extended period is causing serious disruption to contractual and operational obligations.
I fully understand that financial institutions must carry out compliance checks. However, customers should also receive clear communication, reasonable handling times and a transparent explanation when their funds remain restricted.
I am asking Stripe and Juuli to resolve this matter urgently and release the funds, or provide a clear written explanation of the legal/compliance basis for continuing the restriction.
Overall experience: extremely disappointing due to the prolonged restriction, lack of transparency and absence of a clear resolution date.
Se vuoi, posso anche renderla molto più dura e incisiva, in stile “1-star Trustpilot review”, mantenendola comunque formulata in modo prudente dal punto di vista legale.

I've been in business a long time and I have never once left a bad review — for anyone.
This is the first one I've ever written. I'm writing it because I wish someone had warned me.
I own a registered LLC building software for small trade businesses. Before we ever went live,
I set up Stripe and tested the payment flow the way any founder would — my own cards, my own
test accounts, my own money. No customers yet. Zero disputes. Zero chargebacks. Zero fraud
complaints. Not one person was ever harmed.
Stripe's system flagged my account as "high risk," paused it, and then closed it. I submitted
my LLC formation documents and my EIN and asked for a human to actually look at my case. What I
got back were two emails 46 minutes apart on a Sunday morning — a "we're still reviewing your
account" note at 6:52am, and a final "we still can't support you" at 7:38am. No human read my
case; two automated emails on a Sunday made that obvious. There is no phone number. There is no
real appeal. Just a black box that says "risk" and a door that locks behind you.
Here is my warning to any small business owner or founder: do not build your livelihood on a
company that can shut you off by algorithm, hold your funds under its own terms, and give you no
person to talk to and no way back. Test everything in their test mode, never with real money,
and always — always — have a second processor ready to go.
I lost weeks of work and nearly put my entire company on this. Having it happen before launch
instead of after was the only lucky part. Learn from me.
Stripe charges a 2.9%+ and then holds my first payment 2 weeks. what a crock! criminals. Do NOT use this company. Its not your money to hold and you collected your fees, there should be no risk period to pay me MY money. Ill never use again.
I have a problem with my developer fee on Bridge, and one one solved it until now for 3rd month in a row. There is a CS Maritta she/he just told me oh no fee was added, and no solution or anything, they have other CS also provided wrong information. Im really tired and I don't know who can help me with this ugly CS company
Zero stars! Worst company ever! Doesn’t even have a telephone number for support. Will force you into a chat bot with an ai who’s only solution is sending an email which still seems to be ai! They aren’t reading anything you send them! They closed my account and took over 3000$ from me claiming I’m a high risk business when I’ve given them all the documentation, invoices, pictures etc they’ve thrown me in through a hoop for! It’s now September and this has been on going me attempting to work with them and prove anything they need as my business is perfectly legitimate and they will close your account without warning (DURING THE INVESTIGATION) which won’t allow you to log in or get any chats- emails- picture proof of the funds they are holding etc. now all my emails is an automatic reply saying please review the email where we’ve stated that we’ve closed your account and that’s all they’ll say they give you no support after that this should be illegal. This business should be literally banned. Not sure why people still use. It would never recommend terrible customer service honestly just seems like scammers because I promise you every document they asked me for I gave.
Stripe was a disappointing experience. My account was closed, and I found the situation frustrating. I would have appreciated clearer communication and better support. I hope Stripe improves its account review process and customer service.

Started a £195 direct debit payment, from a company i'd never heard of. Luckily I spotted it on my bank statement. STRIPE IS A SCAM AND POSSIBLY FRAUDULENT.

First, I incorporated my company through Stripe Atlas.
Second, I use Mercury Bank, a setup facilitated by Stripe’s guidance; all my funds are deposited into my Mercury account.
Third, to ensure smooth payment processing via Stripe, I have always strictly required my staff to deliver top-quality products and avoid any disputes with customers. Ultimately, however, a single customer initiated chargebacks on four separate orders, leading Stripe to perceive a high level of risk.
Fourth, Stripe could have contacted the customer—via email or phone—to inquire about the specific reasons for the refunds. (To my knowledge, this customer frequently requests refunds after shopping on various platforms and is not a high-quality customer.)
Fifth, Stripe withheld 30% of my funds as a rolling reserve. I did not consider this unreasonable, as I was confident there would be no further refunds or chargebacks.
Finally, Stripe announced its intention to refund the entire amount to the customer. This is absolutely shocking! I have already incurred significant costs—including advertising, merchandise, logistics, and employee wages—and as a user, I must defend my legitimate rights. This is my fundamental right!

Robbing scum. Hold funds to earn money off them. 1 big scam

Terrible at giving refunds - you are better off just paying the customer back through a check in the mail. My business is simply trying to refund a payment and Stripe will not process the refund saying I don’t have funds in my stripe account. The account shows more than enough money for the refund. Errors keep popping up. Also they don’t refund transaction fees. Issuing a refund to a client should not be this difficult. As a business you really need to try to use someone else - this company does not have the business nor the customer in mind. Read replies from reviews too, appears AI generated and lacks authentic understanding. The customer support is the same - all AI and throwing error messages out. Time to move on.

Do not use this payment provider, Zero support if you get a chargeback and then when you do finally win your case with no help from them, they take 30% of your money for no reason! despicable way to behave. i recently switched all of my business to Worldpay who are a breath of fresh air and actually give you an account manager where you can discuss issue with a person directly. Beware of companies that have no person you can talk directly to, especially with a large chargeback that was illegally taken over a year after goods were supplied.

What a garbage company. Do not use them. You have been warned. Everything was great for about 2 weeks. Then they held my money. Then a "review". Then they closed our account and held the money. This is the same story for 10,000s of companies. Scam. 15,000 ONE star reviews. Stripe doesn't care. Not sure how our government allows them to continue - it's a matter of time. These fools rely on AI exclusively. AI answers your complaint here. There are no humans involved when it comes to customer service.

Their account creating software is completely screwed 2 weeks of trying to set up an account and they couldn't get anything correct kept asking me for the same information over and over and over. All I wanted was a simple payout platform for my whatnot account. Platform is impossible to use. If I could give them zero Stars I would.

I'm publishing this review after experiencing another serious problem involving a payment processed through Stripe.
The latest incident concerns Kling AI, which attempted to process a USD 728.64 recurring charge to my credit card through Stripe for an alleged annual subscription renewal that I do not recall knowingly authorizing.
Fortunately, my card issuer declined the transaction for security reasons.
Kling AI’s own account interface currently identifies the payment method as Stripe and states that the subscription is “under renewal,” creating concern that further payment attempts may occur.
I understand that Stripe acts as a payment processor and that the merchant — in this case Kling AI — may ultimately be responsible for creating and managing the subscription.
However, from a consumer’s perspective, this distinction does not eliminate my concerns.
This is not the first time I have experienced serious problems involving payments processed through Stripe. I have previously encountered situations where payments were successfully charged through Stripe while the corresponding product, service, or renewal was not properly delivered or activated.
Experiencing another disputed transaction involving Stripe has therefore caused me to lose confidence in using this company as a payment intermediary.
I have formally notified Stripe that:
I dispute the Kling AI recurring payment authorization.
I revoke any authorization that may exist for future recurring Kling AI transactions.
I do not authorize further Kling AI charges to my payment method.
I have also requested information concerning any personal information, stored payment credentials, tokens, mandates, or reusable payment mechanisms associated with me that remain under Stripe’s control.
As a Brazilian consumer, I have additionally submitted a privacy request under Brazil’s LGPD (Law No. 13,709/2018) requesting deletion, blocking, anonymization, or restriction of personal information wherever legally applicable.
I recognize that Stripe may be legally required to retain certain transaction records for regulatory, accounting, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes. My request does not concern records that Stripe is legally obligated to preserve.
What I want is simple:
I no longer want Stripe storing or enabling the future use of my payment information beyond what is strictly required by law.
My previous experiences with Stripe-processed transactions, combined with this latest incident, have resulted in a complete loss of trust in the company.
Payment processors occupy an extremely sensitive position in the digital economy. Consumers provide them with some of their most sensitive financial information. Transparency, accountability, and effective mechanisms for dealing with unauthorized or disputed recurring transactions should therefore be fundamental.
I'm sharing this experience so other consumers understand why I personally will avoid merchants using Stripe whenever I have a reasonable alternative.
I will update this review if Stripe provides a substantive response, appropriately addresses my privacy request, and clarifies what measures can be taken to prevent further disputed recurring transactions.
