I have ordered macbook pro in installments years ago from this scam company. But they never delivered the macbook neither sim card. As they can see it was never activated. Now guess what happened later. This scam company charges me now 100 euro for nothing. Still to this day I receive invoices. They even sent it to lawyers despite I have million times emailed them and even talked to customer service. Of course their customer service nearly doesn't exist. Worst company ever.

Very bad and terrible network. I have been using it since 2 years just because i am on contract for O2 homespot. I tried to cancel the contract but then i have to pay a one time amount to close the contract for the O2 router.

if there were 0 stars, that would be more suitable.. if you are looking for a home internal O2, it is not an option, it is the same as not having it!!! don't waste your time and money on this

I signed a contract for home internet on June 15.
The rep said my activation date was July 7 but that sometimes it happens sooner.
At no point on July 7 did the internet work, despite following all directions from the app to set everything up. I reset router many times and called help desk who said nothing could be done until 22:00, at which time of course the help desk is no longer open.
I called the next day again. No one could help that day they said: “call back tomorrow 9-17:00.”
I called back the next day. They can’t help either and give me a different number to call.
That number gave me a ticket number and said to wait for an email. I received no email, but one phone call which I missed due to being in a meeting. I called back. No help again.
I received a text saying Tritek was trying to reach me. I attempt to call the number listed, but it is unavailable. I email them. No answer. It’s now July 11 and I need the connection to work from home.
My phone contract is ending soon and o2 is asking if I want to re-sign my contract, but at this point I can’t imagine ever signing a contract with them again.

Do not trust anything O2 promises you over the phone. I cancelled my contract, and their retention team called me times in the last month, and during the last call, they were offering 15 GB for €8.49. I agreed. Instead, they activated only 5 GB in their system for that price.
Because the first invoice arrives a month later, you only spot the lie after their standard 14-day withdrawal window closes. Then, customer service hits you with a brick wall, claiming you are "too late" to cancel.
To top it off, I successfully ported my number away to another network. To keep charging me anyway, O2 generated a random substitute "ghost" number on my account and locked the contract until 2028.
They are completely ignoring my legal GDPR requests to produce the call recording. I've had to file a formal complaint with the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur).
Avoid O2 Germany at all costs, I mean, look at their review score here in trustpilot...
I guess this is my fault, had I seen these reviews I would not have started anything in the first place with O2.
O2 can do, O2 cannot do when it comes with cancellations.

Agit and Filiz were brilliant at the O2 shop in Berlin Central Station. The only people that helped me when my bag had been left on the train and I had no battery. They gave me power, water and a cool supportive space to get myself sorted. Thank you!

For more than four weeks during April and May, we had no internet service from O2.
Every time we contacted customer support, we were told that the issue was a “Vodafone outage” and that nothing could be done. This explanation was repeated for three consecutive weeks.
Only after the fourth week was a technician finally sent. He arrived, immediately confirmed that the problem had absolutely nothing to do with Vodafone, fixed the issue in less than five minutes, and left.
Despite multiple requests, O2 has completely ignored our attempts to discuss compensation or reimbursement for an entire month of paying for a service we did not receive.
Unfortunately, the story does not end there.
While we were abroad on vacation, our internet was disconnected again, leaving us unable to access the security cameras in our apartment. Returning home after traveling internationally only to discover that there is still no internet connection is simply unacceptable.
Now, once again, customer service is repeating the exact same explanation about a “Vodafone outage.” After what happened previously, it is very difficult to trust this information.
In 2026, reliable internet is not a luxury it is an essential service. People work remotely, monitor their homes, communicate with family, and manage their daily lives online. Leaving customers without service for weeks, providing inaccurate information, and then refusing to address billing concerns demonstrates a serious lack of accountability and customer care.
Customers should not be expected to pay for services they did not receive, nor should they have to fight repeatedly just to receive honest communication.
This level of service is deeply disappointing and falls far below what customers should reasonably expect.
Basically O2 became the biggest scam!

I contacted O2 Customer Service and spoke with the Contract Department regarding an issue with my HomeSpot SIM card. Unfortunately, I experienced very poor customer service from the agent handling my call.
The agent asked about my router configuration, and I explained that I use the following address to configure my HomeSpot router: tplinkmodem.net. He immediately told me that I should contact TP-Link to resolve the issue. However, I clearly explained that the problem is with the SIM card, not the router. The SIM card does not work in other devices either, while my other O2 SIM cards work perfectly in the same router.
As a result, my issue was not addressed or resolved during the call. I have been without internet service on this SIM card for two weeks, and the situation remains unresolved.
In addition to not helping with the issue, the agent’s behavior during the call was unprofessional and unpleasant, which made the experience even more frustrating.
I would appreciate it if this matter could be investigated and my SIM card issue resolved as soon as possible.

I moved home to the new address! Requested to move my 5g home spot with me. Called customer support, and the agent told me I need to sign new contract to do that and get a new device, while the old one will be canceled. What actually happened is that I now have 2 devices and contracts, both working in the same location. When I complained, they started the cancellation of the old one, treating me like I was leaving, and forced me to have a notice period. Now I have 2 5g devices on the same address, and I will be billed for both! All I wanted was to move the address!

I initially ordered cable internet from O2. After waiting 20 days, the technician came after the activation date, only to tell me cable wouldn’t work. I was offered DSL as an alternative. After agreeing, I waited again—but O2 deactivated not only the cable line but also DSL without my consent. I had no active line and no clear activation date. Every time I called, they gave different answers. While O2 promises English support, for serious issues like activation, I was repeatedly transferred to German-speaking agents who eventually hung up on me. I have now been waiting almost three months without internet, and I cannot recommend O2 after this experience.”

Worst service EVER!! Would have given minus 1 stars if possible. You never reach anybody, you don't get any contact to write to and if you have any problems nobody know anything. If you reach somebody on the phone they don't know what you are talking about, as well as they just throw you out of the call before you finish your talk. I also got two different bills from them and the guy on the phone couldn't find one of them...
don't do it, just don't, life is too short for this.

All what they care about, to give them 10 stars after each call without helping in any useful way. I have a problem since march and no one is taking me serious. More than 20 phone calls and and went to the shop. Nothing useful. now we are almost entering june. Worst company ever!

Absolutely the most incompetent service ever.
5 different customer service people from O2 did manage to send me a new router for a router swop and a new fibre connection.
I finally found out that the wrong router was send and first need to get back into the system. Until then O2 can’t choose the right router from the drop down menu.
Now I am sitting without internet until I don’t know. And I don’t have much hope getting a refund.

O2 is simply a scam. End to end. Their contracts are shady, badly explained and probably illegal to some extent.
Speaking to them is very hard, when you manage, 80% of the customer support has no idea of what’s going on, so you often receive wrong advise.
What can I add, PLEASE don’t give any money to these scammers.

Customer service is fine, company isn't.
I live in a rural area (86502 Osterbuch Germany), O2 have built a mast in my village and have continued to gaslight us about it. For context, my village is basically a black hole of signal, signal comes here to die. -132 RSRP, -19 RSRQ.. everything about it sucks. Everywhere. In late 2024, O2 worked with the local Gemeinde to plan a Mast, Augsburger Allgemeine also acknowledged we are finally getting service. In early 2025, building started. Timeline? Active by December 2025. So months go by, all we have is the small base on concrete, not even 5m up from the ground, no power, no signal, no equipment. August 2025 : The tower finally stands up. It's finally 40m up yet still smaller than the Maibaum. December 2025 : O2's coverage map shows improvements in my area within four weeks. I buy a SIM. What happens? They rugged me. The improvements mysteriously disappeared. Wanna know why? Because the tower was a lattice statue on the hill with no power antennas or anything. Q1 : O2 got a move on, antennas installed Technikraum boxes labelled and installed, yet still NO POWER. Q2: I DM O2, "When's the tower going live?" They say Q2, I get excited. Little did I know, just 21 days after the first DM they silently pushed to Q3. This has got to count as gaslighting? The best part : we had USABLE 3G with 3 bars at 6mbps IT WAS FINE. But yeah kill 3G, free the spectrum! 3 Villages over, Wertingen. A town with 5k people and where Telekom gets 1gbps. O2? Band 20 LTE at 5mbps. I want to cry.
Back to our ghost tower situation : They need backhaul, Fiber or Richtfunk (Microwave dish) to run it. Since it's rural it's most likely Richtfunk.. But then you say where the hell do they rundfunk from? The Band 20 monster that kills dreams of speed? If they did that they would share 5mbps of spectrum to 500 users. If all were using the network at the same time? You'd get roughly kilobytes, maybe slower. But then the second option, Glasfaser. (Fiber) But wait.. the only provider with glasfaser is M-Net with 500mbps.. that means.. you'd still share 500mbps spectrum, need a deal with m net, and extend the cable.. 500m. Great work O2, just sent my port out request.

So I have been trying to cancel my Handy Insurance for more than 2 hours now! At first I called the general hotline on my O2 App. The first call I tried in english, since it is my better language, there I noticed that the AI was okay-ish but every time it said I would press a key IT NEVER SAVED my input, so I had to hear it 3 times or more until it decided something for itself. Anyway, after I got connected to someone, she said I need to talk to the Handy Insurance department and she connected me to them (ofc the same issue, probably waited for more than 7 minutes to get connected), after I got connected it seemed to go smoothly with the call, in the end the man said he has to do something so I would need to hear the music for a little like in the Waiting line, and I said okay, guess what? The call disconnected and it sent me from the beginning!!!!!! The second call, I did in german, the woman who answered was nice, although she had to go through the whole process to remind herself and me that the cancelling can only be in the handy insurance department, MY GOD!! In the end, I called the handy insurance department directly, the guy answered, he seemed young from the voice, after I gave him all the necessary things, he told me that its not my handy insurance but its something I booked like a subscription but I chose to pay it monthly with my number, which is nonsense!!! It made me panic immediately because I thought that a third person was booking from my number or something, and the guy told me that once I finish my rates for the phone, the insurance ends as well, therefore I would not need to cancel manually, but he spoke with an ironic tone. So basically I tried to talk to multiple workers, all had different excuses not to help me, all have different solutions and I want to say that the service is shit. Fix the goddamn phone service and train your workers to know the situation and their solutions. The service and everything else is terrible, but when it comes to taking money you’re excellent! The least you can do is that to send a reminding message to us when our rates end, so we are aware that we are still paying for the insurance automatically after our contract for the phone ends. Very bad! Please save the long AI message of an apology, I don’t want it.
