I created an account on Outlier and applied for the Aether project. It has been almost a month, but I still haven't received any tasks or active work.
When I check the project page, it shows 'visual coding' task and when I click on this project there are showing “No Active ELO Evaluations – There are no active ELO evaluation runs available at this time."

I understand that task availability can vary, but waiting almost a month without any work or clear information about the project status is very frustrating.
I would like Outlier to provide clearer communication about the Aether project and whether tasks will actually become available for people who have applied to it.

It’s straight forward and you get lots of support

What I love most about outlier is the flexibility and feedback to continuously keep producing quality performance. The flexibility has been great for me .

Outlier is a great platform for people who are fluent in English in addition to their native language. However, I think it’s not for everyone. If you don’t like putting in consistent effort over time or doing detailed, repetitive work, it may not be a good fit for you.

The amount of work also comes in waves. I made around $4,000 a month in both July and August, but last year I also went through a period when there was almost no work for about two months.

Looking at posts on Reddit, Outlier doesn’t seem to have a very good reputation. But for me, Outlier has provided both financial and mental stability over the past two and a half years.

Outlier has been very innovative and educative at the same time, with good operational team that keeps making the platform a great one. I am happy to be a part of this project and wants to keep being a part in the coming future.

I have been using outlier for a while and it has been amazing I must say. I have made over $2000 dollar in less than a month.

I’d like to share my personal experience with Outlier. I have to say that it is a very serious and professional company, and if you put in the effort, it gives you real opportunities to grow.

Outlier offers a wide range of training courses that help you develop and improve your skills. When you do a good job, your effort is recognized and your contribution is valued.

Personally, I feel like I’m part of a family. The support team is responsive, helpful, and precise whenever you need assistance. Payments have always been accurate and aligned with the skills and qualifications required for the work.

Overall, my experience with Outlier has been very positive. Of course, this is based on my personal experience, but I would definitely recommend it to people who are motivated, willing to learn, and looking for opportunities to develop their skills.

When you pass initial tests and take the "real" job, they simply give you so-called "Courses", clearly promising payments for it and real work after. Then you spend 3-5 hours of your life, no matter what level or expertise you have, and then you get your "Failed" status, not a penny, and they get 3-5 hours of your free AI Training job.
That`s the model of their "business".
I checked other reviews and Reddit reviews - evidences are so numerous and comprehensive. Very easy to check.

This company is a joke, they suspend your account for "Community Guidelines violation" when you did not broke anything.
If you ask for details about what you did, they will not bring anything and you can't even apeal the desition. They suspended my account on August 30th, but the weird point is that I didn't even access since August 18th, making no sense this suspension. Please don't waste your time applying for this company.

It's definitely a worthwhile side-gig. Try it.

I’ve had a genuinely positive experience with Outlier so far. I’ve worked on a mix of AI evaluation, language, and audio projects, and I like that the work is flexible and often quite interesting. I’ve also learned a lot from having to work with detailed guidelines and different types of AI tasks.

Payments have been reliable in my experience, which is obviously an important part of any freelance platform.

It’s not perfect, though. Project availability can be inconsistent, and sometimes guidelines or project requirements change quickly, so you need to keep checking updates and be comfortable adapting. There can also be periods where there isn’t much work available.

Overall, I think Outlier is a legitimate and worthwhile platform for people who enjoy flexible, project based AI work and are willing to pay close attention to quality requirements. My experience has been positive, but I’d recommend joining with realistic expectations about the variability of available work.

What makes my experience great is the flexibility and the opportunity to learn and develop my skills in the AI field. I really appreciate the support from the Outlier team, as they are always available to help and answer questions whenever needed. The projects are interesting and give me the chance to gain valuable practical experience with AI. I also like that I can work remotely and earn some extra income at the same time. Overall, Outlier provides a great combination of learning, flexibility, and professional development.

My experience on outlier has been everything good and awesome. Now I know that my free time is a positive long time and still I earn reviewing AI models. It's a great job and Outlier AI is a platform that builds and help AI to grow. As a rater the fact remains that I am growing as well.

My outlier account under was paused for no reason without any prior communication which I feel is an absolute shame and doesn't speak good about the platform, I live in Ontario Canada and made sure to adhere with all the rules of the organization, spending hours working on the platform and then being treated like an outcast is an absolute nightmare, by simply communicating would have made things more professional, I don't think I would be recommending outlier for anyone after the irrational and unfair experience and treatment I received from the organization.

Good platform with great support as long as you adhere to the project requirements. Timely payment with full transparency

Outlier is the best AI training and remote work platform I’ve worked with. Payments are always on time, and there’s a wide range of projects available. In my experience, many projects actually make use of my professional background and career experience. For people with STEM, math, or engineering backgrounds, there are opportunities here that can be genuinely interesting and fulfilling. The pay is competitive, and compared with other remote work platforms I’ve used, Outlier has also been the most stable and reliable

I have been working on Outlier for the past two years, and I would like to start by saying that I am a genuine contributor, not a bot or someone posting a fake review. One thing that makes Outlier different from many other AI training platforms is its approach to transparency and contributor payments. Outlier generally pays contributors for the effort they put into completing tasks, rather than paying only when a task is accepted or approved.

I appreciate this system because, no matter how much effort you put into producing a high-quality task, it can sometimes still be rejected due to differences in judgment between contributors, reviewers, or auditors. Outlier seems to recognize this possibility, which is why it has dispute and feedback systems in place.

These systems are not perfect. Disputes can be slow, and sometimes feedback does not receive the attention or review that contributors would hope for. However, the fact that these systems exist is still valuable. On some other platforms, contributors are paid only for approved tasks, with little or no meaningful way to challenge a rejection. This can be discouraging, especially when a contributor believes they have submitted good-quality work.

For anyone interested in contributing to AI training, I believe Outlier is one of the better options available. Most importantly, it values and compensates the effort you put into the work rather than making your payment depend entirely on whether a reviewer happens to agree with your submission.

Outlier is the best platform out there. I have been treated amazingly and paid without delay. Thank you outlier.
