I took out a vacant property policy while I was in the process of selling a house from overseas. There weren't many options to choose from and Insuristic were among the best priced and were very easy to communicate with, answering email messages within 24 hours.

I never needed to claim on the policy so can't comment on that but obtaining a refund on the remaining policy after the house sold was very easy and there were no admin fees or extra charges for cancelling the policy.

Great way to get cover for my Mother's house after she moved out, and pending sale completion. Full proportionate refund of unused insurance period after exchange was a prime reason for the purchase, and the refund duly arrived promptly when the policy was no longer required. A perfect product for the temporary insurance requirement!

From the first contact, Rob Faulkner was extremely helpful. I found the probate unoccupied house policy was very suitable to my needs and when the house was sold and I cancelled the policy, Rob immediately arranged a pro rata refund. As a person over 70 and executor dealing with a now empty propery I found the website very easy to navigate, plenty of advice on the insurance levels and easy to set up cover needed at a fair price. Relatively simple to set up insurance for an uninhabited property going through a probate sale - with more realistic conditions than some policies around the frequency of carrying out inspections.
Once the property was sold, I received a full pro-rata refund for the unused portion of the Insurance, with no cancellation fees. Of course, this seems 'perfectly reasonable' - as with this type of insurance, all parties know from the outset that the policy will be cancelled as soon as the property is sold. However, 'perfectly reasonable' is not the norm when dealing with insurance !! So this was nice to experience.

Probate property insurance that actually provided reasonable cover and attendance at property only once every 30 days, unlike some insurance elsewhere that required a visit every week. Upon sale of the property Rob arranged for cancellation of the policy and refund of the unused period without delay. Would recommend.
