Lost my passwords with paid version

I have a paid subscription of keeper security. At some point my older Iphone keeper software stopped syncing and there was no reason provided.THE SOFTWARE DID NOT SAY I NEED AN UPDATED VERSION LIKE EVERY OTHER APP DOES NOR DID IT SAY SYNC IS FAILING. When I got my new phone it synced old data from the vault and all my passwords from my old phone was lost. TO RUB IT IN KEEPER SUPPORT MADE IT LOOK LIKE AN USER ISSUE FOR NOT UPDATING. I have lost most of my passwords.and the ones I have I am not sure if it is the latest. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

It’s good, but

It’s good. But they intentionally make it hard to switch to alternative platforms by omitting key fields when exporting your data

Stable and multiplatform

Stable, multiplatform with reliable sync between them, web browser extension is very convenient, etc. I think there could be more options for time-out of a login (right now jumps from 1 day to 1 month), for example, 2 days, a week, a couple of weeks.

Keeper Password Manager is a great product

I've been using Keeper for a few years now and I went through a long pilot test with other managers and Keeper won out by far. I really like the security of the zero knowledge password file with encryption and that it downloads each time. I use a VPN router and they introduced a manager included with the VPN product and it was nowhere close to being as good as Keeper. I like how Keeper fills in forms, can launch saved websites and fill in the passwords. I really like the passkey capability and it makes security a lot easier and better especially if you not using a VPN. The browser extensions are nice. I use a Macbook and a Windows desktop so it works on all of them and the main browsers that I use Safari and Edge. I like that you can store payment methods in it and they will also self fill most of the time. It's a little expensive but compared to one of the top sellers which I don't think is nearly as easy to use and to open, I think it's worth it. I had Keeper and the other one going for about 6 months while I made my decision. It is so much easier than a file with passwords in it and I think is much safer than the built in password managers as well. This product was definitely built for high security without the complication of length passwords for opening every time. With some managers it doesn't make sense that you have to use an encrypted document to save a password to open your password manager. The ability to have 2FA and integrates with the face and fingerprint identification is great. I highly recommend Keeper as your password manager. I've recommended this to a few people and no one has not liked it and its ease of use and high security.

Great estate management asset.

What has made my experience great is the reliability of this application. Once I learned about all of its capabilities, I see no end to the usefulness. The company keeps the application relevant and operational so it is there when I need it. There is a bit of a learning curve, but that is worth the effort.

Beware download csv file before you leave

App is good but service and support poor price shot up so didn’t renew. Company gave us free alternative tried to get csv file download like other password companies allow but because my subscription expired they have said I need to pay another 12 months subscription to get the file. Will never be returning to this app!!

I purchased a subscription on June 11

I purchased a subscription on June 11, 2026. When I tried to create an account, the app wouldn't let me because I apparently had an old 'free' account from several years ago. I was instructed to cancel this old account and create a new one. However, when I attempted to do so, I was redirected to the payment page. I tried to contact support, but I was repeatedly told my account had expired and that they couldn't assist me further, even though I had already paid for the subscription. Unfortunately, the support response I received was automated, making it difficult to get the help I needed. I do not recommend this Password Manager.

Used to be free

Used to be free, then no more adding of records, lots of nagging but at least I could get to the records I'd made already. And then without warning I can't even see my old records even though I'm logged in. Needless to say I'm not impressed and will go with a different company.

There is no clear opt out method out of…

There is no clear opt out method out of subscriptions. They just renew it and a few days before the prolongation you either can't reach the console anymore or they intentionally delete any cancelation option. Really bad behaviour.

Buggy Password Manager With Defensive Customer Support

I’ve had a very poor experience with Keeper Password Manager.

The software itself has been frustratingly buggy and unreliable, which is especially concerning given this is a security product that stores sensitive passwords and personal data.

Quite often the application simply refuses to load properly and throws an error on startup, forcing me to fully restart it before it will work again. This became a regular annoyance rather than a rare issue.

Another basic feature that appears completely broken is the “Keep me signed in” option, which never actually seems to function. I repeatedly had to log back in despite enabling it over and over again.

What made the experience significantly worse was the customer support. Rather than showing genuine interest in investigating or resolving the crashing and reliability problems, the responses quickly became defensive and heavily focused on quoting terms, policies, and legal wording around refunds.

At no point did it feel like anyone genuinely wanted to troubleshoot the underlying software issues. The entire interaction felt more focused on protecting policy positions than helping a customer dealing with an unreliable password manager.

For a product that is supposed to inspire confidence and trust around security, the overall experience has been very disappointing.

Have been subscribed for years

Have been subscribed for years. I am a retired system administrator. So Far So Good. I've used other password managers. Keeper seems to work fine and their internal security seems good. Almost every one of my passwords is unique, and the 20 to 30 character passwords would be impossible to memorize. I also use 2FAC authentication on every site wherever possible.

Cannot disable continuing subscription during sign-up

It should have been a 5-star rating had it not been for the continuing subscription in which I, the paying customer, did not have any initial control, NOR has it been clearly pointed out by Keeper during the sign-up. I finally got to disable continuing subscription only after talking to a customer service rep. The fact that this was not made clear to new customers is the downside of subscribing to Keeper.
