I ordered a screen and arm which I was told go together. I get them and the screws and spacers don't fit.

I email Kogan to ask if they could send me the correct pieces to which they told me I would have to source myself, my own petrol to go find and to use my own money or to shave down the screws to fit.

Why not give the correct sized screws or spacers to begin with? That would mean everyone who has ordered the same set up with me have also gone through the same problem with Kogan having no plans to fix for future customers. This is unacceptable that this extra cost would fall on the customer.

Disappointed

This is my first time using Kogan’s service, and honestly, I’m very disappointed. There has been constant delay after delay, and the communication from the company has been really poor. Instead of the company updating customers properly, we have to keep sending emails and messages again and again just to get information.
A good service provider should contact customers themselves and provide clear updates, especially when there are delays. The whole experience has been frustrating and stressful. Really bad customer service experience.

A friend of mine noticed a "deal" on…

A friend of mine noticed a "deal" on Kogan mobile two for one on a plan with 15GB per month data and all the usual free calls to Australia and New Zealand, so they paid for 1/2 of the plan and myself for the other which gave two sim cards.
When the plan renewed I would have expected to have been charged for an equivalent plan at $165 as I was no longer running two for one ; however Kogan have charged $330 for A Large plan to my credit card. In order to prove who I am they are asking me to provide the last four digits of my credit card and my expiry date - A HUGE RED FLAG as I have been told by the bank that this is how credit card details are mined and to NEVER GIVE OUT THIS DETAIL and others have attempted to scam me with this method before, Kogan had my phone number they could have called me to confirm who I was but the person at the other end was insistent - another RED FLAG.

My advice don't get a plan with Kogan EVER they under take predatory practices and I would not be surprised if their staff we mining and selling credit card details from the actions they are taking.

Absolute worst phone provider in NZ

Absolute worst phone provider in NZ! Switched to Kogan from OneNz a week ago, but am now switching back to One. after 2 days none of our phones could call, text or connect to data. Our phones said we were not connected to any network. Kogan support is USELESS! They just keep saying they’ll escalate it to their team, but nothing ever happens. There’s no phone number to call them so the only options are email or live chat. I don’t understand how they have messed it up so horribly when they use the OneNz network!

Kogan Faraday box with pouch

Kogan Faraday box with pouch. So I placed my s25 ultra in box and wifi able to connect with YouTube video playing. Also phone calls made phone ring in box. Placed phone in pouch inside box definitely no signal. Overall for the price acceptable. Unfortunate for the box not being completely Faraday

Worst providers ever

What an absolute horrible service and horrible company this is. I had my phone and sim stolen, it took them a whole week to send a new sim and then they realized they sent the wrong one then another whole week to send a new sim. I mean do not get trapped with this company, because if you ever loose your sim, you will be out of a phone for atleast 3-4 weeks. And their communication is absolutely terrible. As soon as my pre-paid plan is up i will be taking my business elsewhere. There is a reason they do not have a phone centre, because they are absolutely terrible and they would be streaming with angry callers all the time

No Santa present for my daughter this year....

Ordered a Christmas present for my daughter, haven't arrived, no way to check on my order, no way to contact them, each time I try it says it's sent a verification email but no email received and no other way to get in touch. Do not use this company, shocking service.

I am regretting my purchase here after…

I am regretting my purchase here after 2 days. On the website it said the items would be dispatched in 2 days, today is day 4 and no communication from them. I paid 3 years of Extended Care for my items and I called the Extended Care team in NZ to see if they have any idea of what is going on with my item. The lady who answered was rude and didn't even try to help in any way.

Good until you need customer support

Good until you need customer support. They ask you to repeat yourself over and over. Then they ask you to complete steps which have nothing to do with your query, but help Kogan collect more of your data. I was happy with Kogan until I needed help with something so basic that it should have taken 1 email to solve, not 10+ with no solution.

Scam

Don't buy there anything. Their technique is to sell damaged goods, then they refuse to give a refund. Kogan and D!ckSmith websites are the same bullshit and scam.

The absolute worst product I have ever…

The absolute worst product I have ever had the misfortune of trying to use is a Kogan smart lock. Horrible product, useless app doesn't even have the ability to unlock the door. Not that it really locks as the deadbolt never comes out of the housing, even when the door announces that it's locked.

Useless

Faulty product on delivery. Technician couldn't fix it. Then was told they could not replace it only refund, which I had requested for replacement from start. Back and forth emails for MONTHS. Still have a broken washing machine. Can't buy a new one with the refund, as there is NOTHING ELSE for the price. So now just need to make due with "NEW" BROKEN machine. UNIMAGINABLE STRESS AND INCONVENIENCE CAUSED BY THIS COMPANY.

on the 07/08/25 Kogan Mobile

on the 07/08/25 Kogan Mobile, illegally took $14.99 from my bank account, even though I had cancelled the account with them , hence refund of $35 on the 07/07/25, an employee of theirs an Ashutosh, has been going out of their way NOT to sort this out, placing all the effort/work to fix this .WHY?WHY? WHY? all Ashutosh has to do , is go to the accounts receivable dept, and have them check the companies bank statement on the 07/08/25 and look for te deposit of $14.99 taken illegally from my bank account, are they the useless/lasy/stupid/or paid to be like that, be very very unhelpful so that the client will give up.

Don’t buy from Kogan!

I purchased a second hand iPhone from Kogan. It was defective and this was not apparent until I set it up with my iCloud account . It did not allow me to remove my account but Kogan insisted. I went to 2 phone repair shops for assistance and they confirmed I could not remove my account. Kogan now has the (returned) phone and the money.

New icemaker didn’t work on arrival. Kogan refusing to deal with taking it away.

bought a commercial icemaker for my Party boat. Arrived late and didn’t work. Very slow to respond to my urgent requests as I urgently needed it for upcoming events. Ended up having to buy a different icemaker locally at twice the cost. Eventually did get a refund but I’m left with a zero functioning icemaker that is as much use as a chocolate tea pot. Kogan did not cover the cost to install and then uninstall the machine that doesn’t work.
They then later refused to cover the cost of removing the item. I’m now stuck with a massive paper weight with no storage for it.

I suggested to Kogan that I could take it to the dump, but they were not willing to pay my ex expenses to do so.

They know the situation needs to be resolved and they’re just spinning their wheels, after being aware of it for a few weeks now. They just don’t seem to care.

It’s impossible to speak to these guys on the phone because they don’t have any phone numbers on the website.

I would definitely agree with everyone writing reviews here to avoid Kogan and go to more reputable less stressful company.

Very unhelpful, still waiting for update a month on

- [ ] I bought a dehumidifier from Kogan and it was faulty (it happens), but worked great otherwise, so requested a replacement
- [ ] I sent the product back on 20 May with Overnight label
- [ ] Told me they hadn’t received my returned product when they’d actually had it for a week
- [ ] Then told me it usually took less than a week to assess when it had already been a week
- [ ] Told me it would take up to two weeks to assess and after two weeks I still hadn’t heard
- [ ] Then told me they couldn’t get a new unit till July (another three weeks away when it had already been three weeks at this point)
- [ ] When I saw DSmith (review won’t allow the full name! But is a tech retailer in NZ) still had units I asked if I could get one of those, or get a refund and buy one of those. They didn’t answer this, just changed my replacement request to a refund, telling me the assessment still hadn’t happened (about four weeks at this point).
- [ ] While still waiting for confirmation of a refund, DSmith ran out too, so now there’s no point.
- [ ] I’ve asked three times for a number to call to talk to someone. One of these requests I sent at 9.30am and got an email late in the evening saying, again, they couldn’t call me because it was outside business hours!! (And still no number I could call).
- [ ] Follow up emails were condescending and asking for patience, all the while them not actually having answered my questions or been helpful in any way (implying I was impatient because my request had only just been changed from replacement to refund, when actually I just wanted clarity on why the assessment still hadn’t been done, and had wanted to discuss the DSmith option)
- [ ] Also, weirdly, my negative review doesn’t show up on the website, my password on my account was rejected, my original order has been removed entirely from my account, and my credit card wasn’t accepted on my account the other day.
- [ ] I still haven’t had a phone number or phone call or confirmation of a refund or even that they’ve completed the assessment

EDIT: have just found out they own DSmith too, so they could have 100% either gotten a unit from there or told me it wouldn’t be possible.
