Terrible company.... their fees are sky high. I would fire them in a second if I could! But my employer switched our 401k plan to this POS and now in stuck with sky high fees for mediocre investments plans that lag the S&P. Even if I pick my own funds that have minimal fees like FXAIX, fisher still hits your account with "administrative fees". Im paying over 1% for NOTHING! Not fiduciary at all, they don't care about the individual they only care about charging sky high fees. Shame on my employer for moving our plan here! Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I’m not a client, but rather a fiduciary. I’m not surprised by the negative reviews and the 2 star rating. Here’s the truth… every fiduciary puts the clients best interest first and only does well if the client does, because they put their money in managed accounts that they charge a fee to manage. So, their commercials don’t make them as special, or different, as they lead people to believe. Further more, most money managers don’t like or even offer annuities. When a client specifically wants a guaranteed income, an annuity is the only product available to do that. If a fiduciary does not recommend an annuity as the solution to that, they are not acting in the best interested of that client. The reason a fiduciary, or money manager, would discourage an annuity is for only one reason…. an annuity, if looking for guaranteed income, usually requires a large sum of money if looking for something immediate or in the near future, or yearly contributions over a 10 year period that adds up to a lot of money. That’s a lot money the fiduciary can not put into a managed account in order to charge their fees. Every time I see their commercial I cringe, because they aren’t different like they claim!
I took time for a thorough understanding of what they do. Lots of fancy slides but at the end of the day they get your portfolio to manage. They get paid their cut regardless of how the portfolio performs. This just doesn’t sit well with me. They can share the pain and share the gain. But that’s not the deal. They also keep calling - highly trained sales people. Lucky I can handle them :-)
I only provided my tel. details so I could watch a webinar regarding retirement choices and planning (which was quite informative actually). I then received a call from an aggressive patronising public school sounding oick (I presume a salesman), who asked for way too much financial information, considering it was a 'cold call', questioned my plans for retirement planning, contradicted me, and criticised my existing provider (SJP). Most rude and his number has been blocked. The joke of it is that I said I might be in touch if my existing provider did not perform (unlikely tbf). No chance of that now!!
Great informed service by some real professionals. I have had fabulous service from everyone I’ve dealt with. I’ve had sound advice and the team has been so responsive. I’ve been so well advised by Alex and Aidan. Thank you
I have a large amount of money currently earning little after a matured investment ended. I made an enquiry via Fisher’s website and a chap telephoned me the next day. I explained that a few years back I invested with a company that proved to be a charlatan outfit and lost £140k in the process. Therefore I wanted a safe investment that gave a reasonable return. He asked no questions as to the amount I wanted to invest (250K +) but told me to go to a building society. Unimpressive and frankly quite rude. This guy failing to realise that Fisher have considerable competition.
I'd give it zero stars if that were an option. I did meet with a manager there, repeatedly. I also meet with advisors/managers from other firms. I choose another firm to work with. I took the time to explain my choice to my Fisher manager. A big part of my reason was I found local firm that knew my state's and federal tax & estate laws, and had a complete team, not all in the same firm, but they partnered with other local firms to give us a one stop shop that all communicated together, so we were not the middle man trying to coordinate everything. A team that could help guide us into retirement as well as support us during retirement, and after. Something Fisher did not offer at the time. From their recent ads, it appears they do offer that now. My problem is they would not take no for an answer. Not then, and a year later I am still getting calls from them repeatedly. They always call from a different number so blocking the number does not help. IMHO Fisher is not a customer oriented firm. I felt like I would just be a number if I went with them (another part of my reason for not going with them), and since I said no, this repeated harassment is frankly ridiculous. I mean seriously, I they wanted to have another chance at some future date to earn my business, these repeated sales calls it the exact wrong way to go about it. My advice is to just steer clear, don't ever talk to them, or you will never stop being harassed.

They want one million dollars of your money or you don't get in. Bernie Madoff had similiar standards. After pitching how good they are they always end their commercials with you could lose your money. Ken Fisher was often on the Neil Cavotto show on FOX. I was never comfortable with him. I understand that Fisher Investments is not a Ponzi scheme but it feels like one. Why the demand for one million dollars. And why so many one star reviews. As far as being a fiduciary that is nonsence and just marketing. Everyone that handles your money is a fiduciary. It is just that kind of deception that worries me.
I've found the level and quality of their client engagement to be high. I'm also quite knowledgeable around financial markets, and enjoy talking with my advisor Bryce, who is able to answer my questions well. Their investment policy committee also does a great job, picking up on key markets trends and adjusting the Purisima Global Total Return B portfolio to maximise gains.
Can't get rid of their unsolicited e mails even requesting they stop. When calling their number to speak with someone it is unavailable. Total scam

My dad has his pension invested with Fisher. He took financial advice from another company about inheritance tax. For a specific (but complicated) reason he was advised to give my brothers and I a specific amount of money which I think was around 10% of his portfolio. This was to avoid inheritance tax. He was planning on doing this but his Fisher guy talked him out of taking money out of Fisher to give to us. If my dad wanted to spend his money on an incredible holiday that would be fine. But spending more money on inheritance tax is not fine. I don't trust Fisher and would never invest my own money with them.
We are Canadian investors, retired and very comfortable. We invited them to look at our portfolio. Our Canadian advisor was excellent but when we were assigned our handler he was an American and their policies are American. This means even though they call themselves a fiduciary, they are far more concerned with their own success rather than their clients. FIRED! Terrible bunch. They want to tell you how much of your money you can spend.
Be careful if you download a report of theirs, you will be hounded by their telemarketers. I have asked them 5 times to take me off the call list...does not work.

My brother in law died whilst holding a Fisher pension
They clearly wish to retain the holdings and are badgering my sister to accede to their wishes rather than follow her own….
Will not take NO for an answer
Choose someone else. They change your advisor constantly and do not even consider capital gains taxes. We had to figure out how to avoid penalties and quarterly taxes on our own. We earn as much return on the money we have in a separate account. I would give negative stars if I could.
hard selling tactics. Keep on calling, although I asked several times to remove my phone number. I will definitely not become a client as they are not to trust, only seeking money to earn their fee...

Simply awful, they get you in promising the world then don’t deliver, being pounded with marketing high fees and zero interest when you with them, don’t bother be better going to an independent specialist or even doing yourself with an on line investment app, much cheaper
I’m moving £700k away from them
My wife and I several phone meeting with one of their regional vice presidents and sent our financial information to him. Then he went on vacation and nothing….crickets….no text, no call, no contact whatsoever. After waiting two weeks, I called the Plano Tx home office and left a message asking what was happening with our potential account. I had to recall several more times and was only able to leave a request for a return call. In the meantime, I reached out to another regional vice president I had spoken with in the past and asked him to pick up when the other person had left off. Well, lo and behold, I finally received a call from a lady who professed the she was a “ manager” and that they had “ declined” to do business with us ….even though we met all their preliminary criteria and earlier were prepared to transfer our portfolio to their management . Something is amiss with this company and all this cloak and dagger drama….Invest with them at your own risk my friend…they have NO PROFESSIONALISM at all!!!!!
Very poor customer service, poor communication and high pressure and arrogant sales techniques. Not impressed with the portfolio management or transparency
