Scam site
Scam site, product is nothing like it was advertised. Cheap junk.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE - THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM I specifically contacted the company before purchasing to confirm the product was one solid piece, as I could buy the two-piece version elsewhere for around $45. They confirmed it was one piece, yet it arrived in two pieces. I paid $334.95 based on their assurances. The company agreed to a $185 partial refund, which I never received, and has failed to provide proof of payment. I am now seeking a full refund. I would not recommend this company.

Very disappointing quality and customer service
The photos and description made this item look like dark, quality timber, but what arrived was a cheap-looking, light-coloured wood-effect product that looked nothing like what was advertised.
Delivery took a month, which didn’t match the shipping information provided. When I raised my concerns, Elara House refused a full refund and offered only 50%. I also haven’t received any proof that this refund has actually been processed.
The customer service emails felt automated and AI-generated, without properly addressing my concerns. Overall, a very disappointing experience—from the misleading product presentation to the quality, delivery and handling of my complaint.
Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend ordering from this company.
drop-shipping front and the positive reviews are fakes
I purchased 2 x sets of 4 shelves. The website showed a beautiful set of shelves and the item description clearly stated that the pack contained 4 shelves. The item arrived today from China. I had recieved notifications nearly every day apologising for delays.. of course there were delays because the item wasnt coming from Australia. I received 2 shelves, not 8 and they are very poor quality compared to what was advertised. When I went back to the website I found that the address of the business is an abandoned house and the mobile number was disconnected. I emailed 'customer service' and was told that they were sorry for MY confusion and would I like 50% discount to get another 6 shelves. 89 bucks each for shelves that look worse than if I got them on Temu. I should have checked the reviews for this business before purchasing, their elegant website fooled me. I will be reporting them as a scam. They are a drop-shipping front and the positive reviews are fakes.
Rip off
Absolute rip off! The light looked amazing in the pics but upon opening it’s just a Temu light in Temu style packaging with no brand label, also much smaller than advertised.
Avoid Elara Haus
Avoid Elara Haus. I cancelled my order within 48 hours after realising the company appeared to be an overseas business presenting itself as Australian. For three weeks, they claimed my order had already shipped but provided no tracking evidence. A month later, I received an email saying my lights were still awaiting courier pickup. They then promised a full refund, but two weeks later, I’m still waiting. Over a month later and still no lights or refund. It’s a scam!!
Fake site is a front
Do not buy from this site. This website is a scam. It is a front for an Australian company but is really a drop site for cheap chinese products. Products take over 1 month to arrive, arrive in a beaten up box from China with no instructions and not of the quality described. If you request a refund they stall for weeks then tell you to pay for expensive shipping and customs fees. Avoid purchasing.
Deceptive
Deceptive. Purports to be based in Wollongong NSW but when eventually shipped, comes straight from China. Will see if the quality as alleged is accurate for the price paid. Email responses likely coming direct from China. Also slow to ship. Street view of the address does not appear to be a business at all but a delapitated old house.
Still waiting for order placed 6 August
Very disappointed with this order. I ordered two lights on 6 August and, to date, they still have not been delivered. The only update I have received is that the order has been “unable to be delivered”, with no clear explanation or resolution.
After reading the reviews, I’m now very concerned that I may have been scammed — something I obviously should have checked before placing my order.
I have waited more than long enough and am now demanding a full refund. I would not recommend ordering from this company until these issues are addressed.
Dont believe the pics, its all the cheapest junk from Hong Kong
Purchased what was meant to be Australian Hardwood Shelving, What turned up looked like a Piece of Knotty Pine hacked off an old Pallet. They are not based in Australia as they claim, they are from Hong Kong, everything they sell is the cheapest knock off of the pictures they have on their website. Do not buy anything from them, & to add insult to injury the Junk took 3 months to get here.
Non Delivery of Goods Ordered…
This company is UNABLE to supply orders in a reasonable time and will not allow orders to be cancelled. They us AI as customer support and there is no telephone connection to this company despite what is advertised on their website. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED. If you make a mistake and order from Elara Haus and your order is not filled in a reasonable time (and it never is!) DISPUTE THE TRANSACTION WITH YOUR BANK AND GET THE PAYMENT CANCELLED.
This is indeed a scam website
This is indeed a scam website. All the problems expressed in the negative reviews are genuine. We are currently experiencing all of them in trying to get a piece of furniture we ordered delivered to us.
Scammers
Scammers!! Claim my order couldn’t be delivered and that I need to collect from the depot? No way of contacting them and not able to get a refund or reorder until my original order has been received. Wish I had looked at the reviews before ordering and spending so much money!!! 😡
Please do your due diligence on this…
Please do your due diligence on this company. Sadly I did not. My advice would be not to buy anything from them. I ordered Australian hardwood shelving and clearly they are not. I was inundated with emails and excuses with regard to delivery time frame. Eventually turned up! ( via China)
I literally watched the delivery person DROP my package to the ground at my front door. Buyer beware!
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING!!!
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING!!!! BEWARE!
Exactly the same experience. We purchased expensive lights and after about a month we were informed they were not available and would we like 50% off another product. We asked for a refund which still has not come. Isabella is the name of what another customer described as a chat bot- I agree. Hopefully our bank will be able to assist- we have been scammed!
Steer clear of this company
Steer clear of this company, they’ve stolen our money, ordered lighting several months ago, it’s never been delivered, they agreed they were in the wrong and promised refund, they have never done it, $1650 down the tube, proper dishonest scammers this company
If I could leave a zero review I would…
If I could leave a zero review I would These guys are scammers , product online was not as described by far ( plastic instead of glass etc etc) and they gave me the grief in getting any refund. Don’t believe they are located in Australia, avoid using them. In the end I got half of what I paid after over a month of follow-ups and a offer by them to refund the whole only if I sent it back to China $$$$$
Beware and save yourself some grief if any thing goes wrong
Chinese overpriced crap
Order took over a month and the “lamp”fit in my mailbox, despite the pictures depicting it to be a side table lamp.
The instructions are in Chinese only. I paid $65 for it and after seeing it I wouldn’t have paid $5. It’s that bad. If only I had seen these other reviews before purchasing from these scammers. How can this be legal?!
SCAMMERS!!
SCAMMERS!!! Beware- they just send poor quality goods from china. You will not receive what you ordered and they won’t refund you.
If I could put -100 I would 5 months
If I could put -100 I would 5 months and still waiting can’t get anyone on phone or email. Useless
