I’m adjusting my review to 4 stars now as Danica has expedited the process and took 3 weeks instead of the 6 months that they have initially informed. I don’t know if they expedited it because... See more

I mean I am an easy going guy, I have no complaints but that means almost nothing to be honest. The most important thing is that everything is quite acceptable if not great if I am not complaining.

The consultant was very professional and helpful
I have had Danica Health Insurance for a couple of years now, and unfortunately, I am not impressed.
The first issue is the highly bureaucratic and overcomplicated process. It feels as though you have to answer countless questions before you can even choose the specialist you want to see. I say "choose" because Danica clearly prefers that you use its own network providers, and if you want to see someone else, you are often required to provide additional documentation or referrals. The lack of flexibility and trust in customers is noticeable.
Even when using Danica's recommended providers, the experience can be frustrating. For example, when I was looking for an eye specialist, some of the providers listed by Danica told me they had already informed Danica that they no longer offered the relevant service. It is disappointing to spend time navigating the system only to discover that the information is outdated.
Another issue is the quality of some of the providers in the network. In my experience with FysioDanmark, getting appointments was easy, but the treatment itself was disappointing. The approach seemed to focus mainly on prescribing exercises rather than providing meaningful treatment. Meanwhile, if you want to use a physiotherapist you already know and trust, even with a doctor's recommendation, you are limited to 12 sessions within a 12-month period.
For comparison, I have had significantly better experiences with PFA, which offers greater flexibility and a more customer-focused approach.
The complaints process is also extremely slow. In my case, it took nearly two weeks to receive a response. The platform itself is in English, which may already be a barrier for some Danish customers. Ironically, when the response finally arrived, it was written in Danish and simply repeated the policy terms regarding treatment limits, while completely ignoring the concerns I had raised about the service provider.
Overall, Danica Health Insurance feels like a heavily administrative organisation trying to present itself as modern, agile, and customer-focused, while delivering the opposite experience. The processes are slow, the information is not always up to date, and accountability appears to be lacking.
Based on my experience, I would recommend considering alternative providers. PFA has been considerably better.
Rating: one big rotten potato from me.

Overly complicated when trying to access health insurance. Just booking an appointment (with no approvals needed) takes 26-clicks.
More effort needs to be put into a simpler process to access health insurance claims.

Amazing experience i would recommend Danica for everyone.
They advertise themselves everywhere, but when you actually need to use the insurance, it becomes a completely different story.
You’re basically forced to choose from their limited list of doctors if you want to be covered. That’s honestly so annoying. Doctors are not something you just pick from a random list. People trust specific doctors for a reason. Maybe you feel comfortable with someone, maybe you’ve been going to them for years, maybe you just trust them more. Why should that not matter?
Because of this system, most of the time you don’t even get a refund unless you follow their list exactly. So what are we even paying for then? and they say it is our coverage rules blah blah. basically Cult!
And let’s be honest, all doctors in Denmark already have CVR numbers and are authorized to practice. So why does Danica need to create their own list on top of that?
It just makes you wonder what’s really going on behind it. Why are patients being pushed toward specific doctors? Is Danica getting commisions from the doctos they send patient to ??
Because right now, it just controling and unfair.

Very professional and prompt services.
Good job!
Had a simple health insurance claim that was rejected and no explanation provided. Cannot get a response over email to resolve. Terrible customer experience - do not use.

Good user interface for reporting claims - all easy and clear. I have been also always satisfied with Danica's handling health requests.
