Bisserup Strand Kro Reviews 

Back in the 1930's my dad summered here. I contacted the inn and they were able to host us. The rooms are lovely and with an upstairs patio and balcony to use.
Fantastic views! We had the "deal" for dinner, which consisted of an appetizers of fish filet, main course with beef medallions in brown sauce, and apple cake for dessert. Scrumptious! Everyone is nice and such a lovely place. I hope you consider a holiday here and experience a treat.

We were due to stay at Bisserup Strand Kro for a short break from the 28th to 29th of July 2022. Because of the circumstances outlined below we requested a change of date on the 10th of July and we were told that this would not be possible as the hotel’s terms and conditions state changes can only be accommodated up to a minimum of 4 weeks in advance. Despite fully explaining our situation and questioning their decision Bisserup Strand Kro are sticking to their terms and conditions and refusing to offer us an alternative date.

Whilst they are strictly within their rights, I find their lack of compassion and flexibility extremely disappointing and because of this I would definitely not recommend this hotel.

My partner is Ukrainian and her elderly mother who is in very poor health still lives in Eastern Ukraine. In normal circumstances she would return several times a year to look after her mother. Obviously this has not been possible this year. In May following the Russian withdrawal from Kyiv, she decided it was hopefully safe enough to return for a short time to assist her mother. There are no direct flights now and she had to fly to Warsaw and undertake a 24hr bus journey to Poltava where her mother lives. On arrival she found her mother to be in much worse health than anticipated and in need of a serious operation on her back. It was far from straightforward to arrange diagnosis or to find a hospital willing to treat her. All hospitals are busy treating the injured from the war and my partner has had to arrange private treatment at considerable cost. In order to assist her mother to recuperate, it was required to prolong her stay in Ukraine. This was unavoidable and would necessitate a return home to Denmark on the 29th of July, ten days later than originally planned. With the extended journey time this would allow her only 7 days with her mother post operation.

Life at present in Ukraine is far from relaxed, nowhere is safe. There are air raid warnings several times a day, and a shopping centre in Kremunchuk, a town my partner’s bus passes through was bombed on the 28th of June killing 18 people.

My partner was looking forward to a relaxing break at Bisserup after her return but their inflexibility and lack of compassion has in fact only added to her stress.
