Circet were told exactly what the problem was and still turned up without certified personnel or required tools to complete task. Apparently Friday meetings were more important than customer having to deal with no internet or safety comms over weekend. Open Reach turned up and fixed the problem in half an hour the next day.
Unprofessional.

Left a whole community in Kanturk without internet for the Friday 16th to Tuesday 20th of October, failed to inform the community. Just packed up and went home on Friday.
Failed also to inform the providers, people working from home, several preparing for examinations, disability and diabetic monitoring, the did not care. Absolute cowboys,
Calling COMREG might as well be calling the man on the moon, this shower should not be left near an exchange.

Had my first appointment set up for…

Had my first appointment set up for Sept 10th took day off work to be here as requested 2guys showed up and left in less than 10minutes saying they could not do install as guys building box by road had not left any holes through block wall so they would have to get a different crew to come out another day to do this . 2 weeks later 2 different lads turned up put hole into box by rd and installed duct all the way up to my house but these two guys dont install broadband router connection in house so another appointment is made for this week monday 12th I take another day off work my appointment is between 8am and 12 which is fair enough, one guy rolls in at 1.30 pm not care in world and leaves 10min later saying he needs another guy and to help him and wont be able to do install today so now that's 3 days of my hols wasted waiting on circet to do broadband connection but it gets better I got a call from customer service saying they want to make another appointment for end of October and I asked why could they not get it done on monday and the girl on other end of phone says it's because we need a hoist for your job and none available during my appointment time and when I asked her why we need a hoist she turns vile on the phone saying we know what we need and how I was been rude asking such questions well my street connection is on rd level and the wire in my house comes in via duct in floor we have no poles or roof connections and definitely no need for hoist ,so to solve my problem I said goodbye to her and wont waste another day on them and yesterday ordered starlink instead. What a joke of a company they are.

Disgusting service, 2 installations scheduled neither were completed

I signed up for Eir's fibre broadband. My first installation date was 28th Sept 2026. The lads turned up and assessed job, a stop go board was needed on the road during installation so reschedule date needed. The technician stated that this was needed to be a first job in the morning slot because it was a big job. It was rescheduled for 12th October in line with my work 8am to 12.00 At 9am I received a call from Circet stating that the head techican was travelling 6 hrs to reach me. One lad had already arrived. I was promised the job would still take place that day. Just after 12 I received another call from Circet stating the job will not go ahead today as they have been delayed on another job. This is impossible since I was the first job!!!! I was extremely annoyed to be lied to by one or both of the Circet customer care team. I have now cancelled my installation since I am not prepared to waste any more time waiting for installation. There was not one single word of apology given. Eir has now lost my business after over 10 years as a customer due to the disgusting service I received. My advise is to if you need fibre connecting try and use an alternative installer which will be difficult due to national broadband installation. Try to get Alltec and avoid Circet

Extremely Disappointing Service from…

Extremely Disappointing Service from Circet Ireland
I have been without internet for more than a week. After calling last week to complain, I was given an appointment for today between 12 pm and 4 pm.
I have three small children, including a newborn baby, and unfortunately, I didn’t hear the phone. However, I actually saw the technician’s van outside my gate. I rushed to open the gate, but he simply drove away. I called him straight away, and he didn’t even bother to answer. I literally watched the van leaving, and he just threw a note on the ground saying that I wasn’t home!
This is absolutely unacceptable and unfair. How can you expect a parent with three small children and a newborn to keep their phone glued to their hand for four hours straight? I was at home, and the technician made no real effort to contact me or wait for me, even though I was right there trying to open the gate.
And now, after all this inconvenience and more than a week without internet, I have been given another appointment in two days. This is honestly a joke.
I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism, communication, and consideration shown to customers. People have families, responsibilities, and busy lives. We deserve better treatment and a service that actually respects our time.
Circet Ireland needs to take responsibility for this kind of service. Absolutely unacceptable.

Very unprofessional company that cannot be substituted for.

Circet are undeserved of one star as they fail to turn up for appointments on installations despite messaging on the day that they are coming! 1st attempt did not have the right equipment to install broadband. 2nd attempt confirmed installation date a few days before and again on day of installation only to follow up with unavailability of engineers! 3rd attempt (26th sept 2026) Exactly the same confirmed installation days before and today only to follow up with crew not available. It’s seriously inconvenienced me but what do they care! Very poor company should be fined!

Outstanding service from technical…

Outstanding service from technical engineer Robert. He attended the agreed appointment on time and installed fibre optic (broadband) very quickly - under one hour. Unfortunately, Robert was unable to achieve full service/installation same day. No problem, he promptly returned and went beyond helpfulness by working around the scarce times we were available at the property. Robert was very professional and knowledgeable. His work was first class! I am sure Robert is, and will be an asset to any company - well done Robert! I would highly recommend Circet to anyone requiring fibre installation.

Avoid if you can

Signed a contract with Vodafone for fibre back in June. Waiting two months for permission forms to be collected (poles to be installed at our place). Don't ask me why I can't post it to them! The guy came back two weeks ago, was supposed to ring beforehand to give me an hour's notice, claimed his app didn't work when I bumped into him on the road and wouldn't wait one minute for me to grab the permission forms that he'd asked me to leave in our postbox, which he had to drive past to get to and from our house. He was to come back last Friday, needless to say nobody came. Horrendous time wasters

Significant Property Damage, Months of Inconvenience and Poor Customer Service

My experience with Circet was extremely disappointing.

During the initial fibre installation at my home, I found the first engineer to be dismissive and rude when I raised concerns about where I wanted the installation located. I had specifically requested the living room, but it was installed in a young child’s bedroom against my request, and the work left significant damage to the upper elevation of my relatively new-build house.

A second engineer subsequently attended and, in contrast, I found her to be professional and helpful. She relocated the fibre. However, following her work, damaged/loose brickwork was left at high level. This fell from the property a few days later and required further remedial attention.

What followed was a lengthy process over several months involving Circet, Sky, Openreach and Keoghs. I had to repeatedly provide photographs and information, complete a claim form, correspond with multiple companies, arrange access to my property for inspections and remedial works, make myself available for appointments and repeatedly follow up on outstanding issues.

The condition of the external fibre/conduit caused considerable stress, concern and sleepless nights. I was concerned about water ingress and water building up within the conduit, with the potential for damp or other problems if the issue remained unresolved. This was an ongoing worry for months, not simply a cosmetic issue.

The physical damage has now been repaired and I acknowledge that the remedial works were eventually completed. However, this does not reflect the amount of time, effort, stress and inconvenience I had to spend dealing with the consequences of the installation.

During an in-person assessment on 7 August 2026, Michael McLean on behalf of Circet verbally advised that a goodwill gesture would be considered. I subsequently requested this in recognition of the stress, inconvenience and considerable time I had personally spent dealing with the consequences of the damage. That request was ultimately declined in writing by Circet’s Service Delivery Complaints team, who stated that Circet does not provide compensation or goodwill for time. The complaint was then closed and I was directed back to my service provider.

**My service provider was not the party who was dismissive on site, nor the party whose engineers caused the damage to my property. Those issues arose from the work carried out by Circet’s engineers.**

I am not disputing that the remedial work was eventually completed. My concern is the overall experience: the initial installation, how I was treated by the first engineer, the damage to my property, the subsequent loose brickwork, concerns about water ingress and potential damp, the months taken to resolve the matter, and the amount of time and effort I personally had to devote to getting everything resolved.

Overall, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Circet.

What a stinking company!

What a stinking company. One of their team trespassed into our garden - no permission. When I tried to complain, Circet sends you round in circles. I asked for their press office: no response. Eventually I used their whistleblowing option! How ludicrous. Today I got a response saying the matter is closed - no explanation. What a dreadful firm! Worldwide, across the EU - avoid these self-important, bloated cowboys.

Circet Estate Work Completion

Circet have just completed the job of laying cables on behalf of OpenReach on our estate.
Our previous experience of having another utility company do similar work turned out to be an absolute nightmare.
What a refreshing change to have the Cercet crew carry out the work.
They completed the job exactly on time with little fuss.
Their communications were excellent in letting us know when anything might interfere with our coming and going to our house and they were polite at all times.
They swept up the road and pavement at the end of each day and upon completion left the estate in good order.
For me they were a good example of an aware and caring company.

Depends which engineer you get

Initial engineer was a disaster. He quickly said he would need to get help with underground cabling and made a start on the interior cabling. He did not remove the old sockets/cabling and put the new wiring in pinned randomly to the wall nowhere near the door architrave in sections. Additionally there was significant slack in the cabling that could easily be caught when passing. He left without letting us know he was going and we never heard or saw him again. Complained via EE and an Openreach engineer turned up on the next working day to install the underground wiring but would not remedy the interior mess as this had been done by another company. He raised my complaint in the system and about 4 weeks later I received a call from Sarah from Circet who was excellent and very professional. She arranged for a different engineer to come out and remedy the problem and Umar was superb. He quickly sorted the problem with no fuss and was thoroughly professional and helpful in all that he did.
In short Sarah and Umar were great in sorting out a problem they should never have been dealing with in the first place. It is a shame they have to waste their time and skills on “mopping up” other people’s incompetence or lack of care and basic professionalism.
The initial attempted install was 31 July and it has now been sorted on 2 September.

The most inconsistent company i have…

The most inconsistent company i have come across. Scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ago, confirm it and all, take off leave for work for the day meant to come between 12-4pm start chasing them up at 4pm -5pm get told the job still Scheduled, 6pm they call me to say the job isn't going ahead and can only book me in 2 weeks later. Where is the customer service? Why must I now be pushed to the back of the queue for them not fulfilling their agreed commitment. Will never recommend them and I hope service providers stay far away them. You will loose customers.

Billy phoned before he arrived with an ETA.

Billy your engineer arrived today 24/08/26 and immediately set about checking the best route to bring in the cable.
He suggested a way I hadn’t even thought of,which turned out to be perfect and aesthetically much better. Billy was efficient and both my wife and I were delighted with his attitude and the finished Job.
Billy is a great asset to your company.

This isnt on my land so I said I wouldnt be able to, so they said each of the previous 3 times they would contact civils to do it. This was never done.
