Allysa was great. I listed a car on Craigslist not even thinking about selling it to a dealer. She reached out based on the ad and walked me through how it would go. Took it to their partner, CarMax who i was familiar with and the process was easy. Got a check for close to my asking price same day.

I worked with Mike at Carwise to help me sell my car. Mike was exceptionally patient and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and went above and beyond to make sure an otherwise stressful (selling your car) was quick, easy, profitable, and stress-free.

I was ready to sell my 2024 truck and so I placed 3 ads on line; Craigs List, Facebook Marketplace and Autotrader. Within 24 hours I had 15 different offers for exactly what I was asking. All of these offers were scams. They wanted to pay me in many different ways and take possession also in different ways. When I got a text from Carwiseri was at first suspicious. My representative asked me a couple of questions and said if I wanted he could set an appointment that evening to sell my car. What I was offered was not a whole lot less than my asking price and I would not have any headaches. I drove to CarMax, their physical representative, and within 45 min I walked out with a check. So glad I worked with Carwiser!

Carwiser’s marketing tactics include reaching out to people who have their car listed on Craigslist. They pretend to be someone asking for the vehicle owners’s phone number to discuss more details about the car, only to reach out via text a few days later still pretending to be an interested buyer, but ultimately revealing their intentions and sending a link to carwiser’s website.

Would you trust a company that employs these kinds of deceptive tactics and lies willingly?

Their scheme:
- Find a vehicle listed on Craigslist
- Email the owner under the false pretense of being interested (in this case, the fake name Joe Hearshman)
- Ask for the owner’s phone number under the false pretense of wanting to call the owner to get more information about the vehicle
- Wait a couple days to send a text message to lower chances of people making the connection between the email and the text message
- Avoid signing the text message with the name originally provided in the email for the same reason
- Further pretend that they’re asking for information about the vehicle
- Finally reveal themselves as carwiser by introducing themselves as Brooke and sending a link to their website

Don't know what sorcery they used, but they were able to get my a higher offer at CarMax compared to when I went through CarMax myself ! Alyssa was very responsive and helpful. She made sure to check in before and after the process !
