I spent years trying to find Nespresso size coffee pods that were sensibly priced and with the right flavour. Then I tried Coffydoor. At last I have three flavours, all with a proper coffee aroma, and perfect flavour, and a sensible price. This is a genuine review from a UK purchaser.
Love the coffee. Delivery issues continue but I'm assured these are being improved.

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been exposed to all kinds of coffee and have never really been to fussed about the taste as long as it got the job done. I tried CoffyDoor, particularly the Ristretto blend…..all I can say is I’ve been thoroughly impressed by the distinctive taste. The lungo is also a preferred go-to when I hit that afternoon power down. 10 out of 10 for sure🙌🏿🤯🙌🏿🤯🙌🏿🤯🙌🏿🤯🙌🏿🤯🙌🏿
I have been drinking Coffydoor coffee for quite a while. I even did a blind taste test with Nespresso pods. I was pleasantly surprised. Will continue to use Coffydoor.
Let’s start with the good: the coffee is genuinely good. I’ve tried it now, and I have no complaints about the quality.
But here’s the problem: I’m a long-time Borbone drinker, and Coffydoor’s coffee isn’t good enough for me to justify paying roughly twice the price. Borbone costs about half as much, tastes at least as good to me, and my orders arrive reliably. That’s a pretty difficult value proposition to beat.
Unfortunately, the customer experience didn’t help.
My order was delayed, and the communication around it was confusing. I was left waiting for information that never arrived, so I had to chase things up myself.
When the order finally arrived after 6 weeks, not the promised 10 days, everything was actually there. The delivery note, however, was almost as transparent as the customer service. 😂 The individual items were listed first, and then underneath them the Black Friday Kit appeared as a separate line item showing 1 ordered and 0 delivered. Since the kit was essentially the package containing those items, it was confusing to say the least. Nothing was missing, but the way the order was documented certainly made it look that way at first glance.
To be fair, the coffee arrived in good condition and it is definitely good coffee. But when you are charging around twice what I pay for my usual coffee, I expect either a noticeably better product or a noticeably better customer experience. Ideally both.
So, my honest verdict:
☕ Coffee: 8/10
💰 Value for money: 5/10
📦 Delivery: could do considerably better
📧 Communication: needs work
❤️ Would I switch from Borbone? No
The coffee is good. Just not twice-the-price-and-wait-for-it good.
I’ll finish what I ordered, enjoy it, and go back to Borbone. 😉
Update: After posting this review, Coffydoor contacted me personally, and I had a lengthy conversation with Vian from their team about my experience.
I appreciate that they took the time to address my concerns properly. In particular, they acknowledged that the communication regarding the Espresso being out of stock was poor and that the DHL situation did not excuse the lack of communication beforehand. They also explained their interpretation of the Taste Guarantee, which clarified why my refund was initially handled as a return rather than under the Taste Guarantee.
I also received an explanation regarding the DHL delays and the confusing way the Black Friday Kit appeared on the order documentation. Coffydoor has said they are already working on improving the latter.
Most importantly, I feel that my actual concerns about the communication were heard and acknowledged. I appreciate that, and I think it is only fair to recognise it here.
Coffydoor subsequently asked whether I would consider removing my review and offered three boxes of coffee as a thank-you. I have decided to leave the review up because it reflects my genuine experience and my honest assessment of the service I received at the time. I also believe that an honest review should remain honest even when a company later takes the time to address the issues.
My decision not to order again is ultimately not because I think the coffee is bad. I actually enjoyed it. It simply doesn’t offer enough of a quality or convenience advantage over my usual coffee to justify the significantly higher price for me.
Update: After my original review, Coffydoor reached out to me personally and took the time to explain what had happened behind the scenes. I particularly appreciated the transparency and the willingness to acknowledge where their communication had fallen short.
The follow-up, handled by Vian, was very different from my initial experience, and I appreciated the effort that was made to understand my concerns rather than simply dismissing them. Jonathan, the founder of Coffydoor, also reached out to me personally, which I found both genuine and constructive.
I have therefore changed my rating from 2 to 3 stars. My original experience remains unchanged, and I still don’t feel that the difference in quality is sufficient to justify the significant price difference compared with my usual Borbone capsules, although that is ultimately a personal matter of taste and preference. However, I also believe it is important to acknowledge when a company listens to feedback, takes responsibility and makes a genuine effort to improve.
For me, that makes 3 stars a fairer reflection of the overall experience.

I ordered the starter kit from coffydoor
Had a bit of trouble with the order which was totally down to my computer skills being not so great.
Fortunately had a personal message from the founder of the company.
He patiently lead me through the order.
Fantastic customer service and was informed my order is on the way.
I’m sure to get a monthly delivery.
First they took ages to ship my coffee. Only AFTER processing the payment they communicated that the coffee was out of stock. It took two months to arrive. They sent only 10 extra coffee pods to apologise.
I cancelled my subscription after that, and they still charged me twice, despite me calling them every time to confirm that my subscription was canceled. This is fraud. You should all check your transactions.
UPDATE: I got my money back. The CEO got in touch directly on WhatsApp pressuring me to remove the review and trying to explain what went wrong with the payments due to a turnover of the people working for the company. I personally don’t think that this is a good enough excuse. Taking the money from someone’s account without their consent is very serious and it should NEVER happen. He then went on trying to guilt trip me talking about personal stuff and the financial situation of the company. Finally, he tried to use my profession as a leverage implying that he’d used my personal information to run a research about me online. THAT IS NOT PROFESSIONAL.
Thanks for sending the money back (the least you could do). But this is unacceptable. My experience stays bad.
You can try and flag my review you as defamatory again, but you should try and find other ways to improve your business.
PPS. If you really are going through a hard time, I’m sorry for you and I sympathise man. Seek support. My review is not to you as a person. But the way you dealt with this issue: bad. You can find support for this too.

There may have been a delay on delivery, but the coffee is well worth waiting for. Beats all the well known brands I used to buy. Customer service is excellent.
I ordered the 120 pods which came with a storage tin and a travel mug. I ordered the decaf, the lungo and the Ristretto. Unfortunately I received espresso pods instead of decaf pods. I emailed the company and very quickly received a response advising me they would refund me 10% of my order cost and would also send me the decaf pods. I’m happy to say they did exactly that! You can trust this company. Oh, and their coffee is delicious!
Love the coffee, the quality is good love everything except....... the delivery times are far out, I know they had problems with shipping but the second one (to my sister) I ordered is nearly a month ago (03.07.2026) and I don't have it yet at least I know its in the country.
Great coffee but once the parcel arrived you may ask for the next shipment.
regards
Finn

An awful experience so far. Having placed my order on 1st July I was told the Lungo capsules were out of stock, but would be available within 2 weeks. After that I heard nothing until I chased them up, to be told on 18th July my order had been packed and would be with me soon. Since 20th July the tracking has stated 'label created' and a week later I still don't have my coffee even though full payment was taken on 1st July. It is hard to believe all of the positive reviews are genuine as their customer service and sense of urgency is almost non-existent

Update: Vian (customer service) reached out and it seems the order / issue will be resolved. Next week perhaps. If the coffee merits the 5th star, they will receive it. | | So far no good. Order placed 14th July, 2 days quiet (72 hours delivery promise..) so I ask. They then respond in 5 mins saying sorry, their stocks have run out and awaiting delivery (on the contrary what they claim, they have never alerted me) OK I say, fine, send when you get it (the promise was 1 day later, but no notification of tracking info, I ask again. They respond we are preparing, blabla. Then I get the tracking, which is dead for 2 days, then 20th July it is in "processing" from 7 am, and it is still. I ask on Tue evening, they respond (response is always super fast) that they "just" have confirmation from their acc.manager that DHL is experiencing issues. Ahem. Right after I asked, they got confirmation. When I.raise this, another explanation is given. So, now I'm waiting for the order and no, I am not happy. Not trusting and perhaps just going to withdraw from it altogether as reactive, rather than proactive comms is not something I am happy with.

Review edited after contact with the company. I want this brand to succeed as the product is actually very good. Hopefully the logistics issues are behind them now. Looking forward to trying the flavoured options coming soon

First of all, great presentation and explanation in something i havent thought. I have tried every pod out there only to accept my fate that i can only enjoy a fast easy one button experience with boring tasting coffee. I tried coffydoor from an insta ad , on a whim..and oh boy was i surprised! It wont replace expensive machines ofc, but it does taste alot better and frankly just as good for my taste. Not too bitter not too indifferent.
Coffydoor coffee is great, but even if it wasn’t I’d probably still buy it because their customer service is outstanding! I’m a bit useless with subscriptions and regular orders but nothing is a problem for this lovely company. Amanda really went the extra mile to sort me out. Prompt, friendly, genuine, customer-focussed attention plus delicious coffee = pure happiness! Thanks guys! Xx
