I have just received my third lens from them. It takes a little bit longer to arrive than you would like, but well worth the wait. For me any camera or lens I require in the future will come from them.
A real pleasure to deal with and as always a BIG saving.

I ordered a Sony a7V from Cotswold Cameras on 10/07/26. However, the camera required a warranty repair and I was instructed to send it to A.J. Johnstone, their warranty repair partner. I was advised that once they received the camera, the repair would take approximately 3–4 weeks. I sent it as instructed and received confirmation of receipt from the repairer on 05/10/26.

As the four-week mark approached, I had heard absolutely nothing from either Cotswold Cameras or the repairer, despite being assured by Cotswold Cameras that I would be kept updated throughout the process.

I emailed Cotswold Cameras on 29/10/26 requesting an update. They responded the following day, stating that the camera was “now in the queue for repair”. After almost a month without my camera, I would certainly hope it was in the queue to be repaired! This response felt like little more than a complete fob-off, offering no explanation or apology for the delay and, more importantly, no indication of how much longer I would have to wait.

I replied on 30/10/26 asking for an updated estimated timeframe. On 03/11/26, I received a response telling me that they were waiting for the “technicians to conclude their final tests”. Once again, this was a generic response that offered absolutely no clarity.

As a professional videographer, my camera is an essential piece of working equipment. I need to have some idea of when I can expect it back, or at the very least be given a reasonable estimated timeframe so I can make alternative arrangements, including potentially purchasing or hiring replacement equipment. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect a customer who has spent a considerable amount of money on professional equipment to be kept informed about how long they will be without it.

Overall, this has been an incredibly frustrating experience. I have no idea when, or even whether, the repair will be completed. Having since read other reviews, I am concerned that these lengthy delays and lack of communication may be a recurring issue with A.J. Johnstone’s warranty repair service.

If you’re a professional who relies on their equipment and cannot afford to be without it for an indefinite period, I would seriously consider purchasing elsewhere. A warranty is only as good as the service behind it, and based on my experience so far, I have been thoroughly disappointed.

Well Cotswoldcameras have done it again, it's the reason I keep coming back, very competative pricing and reliable delivery. In truth when buying equipment I would find it hard to look elsewhere. My thanks to Cotswold and their staff from a delighted customer. I certainly recommend the company to those looking to buy camera gear.

Last month I placed an order with Cotswold Cameras for a Canon RF 35mm 1.8 lens, at the time I didnt realise that they were a grey market supplier. I was a bit concerned when my order showed as "processing" for a few days then suddenly I got the message that my lens had been dispatched by Royal Mail with next day delivery. ( a total of 8 days including a weekend)
The lens arrived in proper retail box and was in pristine condition with no sign of tampering since it left the factory. It performs remarkeably well and I am extremely pleased with it, especially with the low price that I paid.
Altogether a service from a supplier that I would certainly recommend

I ordered a Canon EOS R7 and an RF 100-400mm lens, and all was delivered in perfect sealed condition with authentic boxed parts. Communication and delivery updates were received after a he order for total peace of mind. Cant fault the entire process - all very slick.
