I had a really helpful and lovely support via phone banking with Annila. She was patient, polite and helpful all the way through our converstion. Annila explained some queries I had and taught me how to find some information I needed on the bank's website.

Yeah had a lot of hope for the co op…

Yeah had a lot of hope for the co op bank as they are a nz bank and sound like a very promising bank. Until I applied for refinance with them and got turned down the small lump sum. Funny how banks don't want to help the younger generation get ahead even if they hold equity and enough funds to support the morgage/loan.

Thanks anyway

Just tried to call them again- second…

Just tried to call them again- second time in one day. Finally talk to someone after 32 minutes on the line!! I had to cancel my debit card, but they are not allowing me to use my credit card to make a purchase on line. Person answering the phone asks security questions - different codes etc- , and the details of my card number etc, and then takes them down incorrectly, asks what the problem is; he then says can you hang on and then disappears and the phone goes silent. I expect him to come back to follow up, but next thing I know it's another voice asking me for my name and exactly the same details all over again. And I didn't know I was being passed around or who he was. I asked him who he was and he just said - Cooperative Bank!!. But why was I passed to him? What happened to the other guy? Why didn't he tell me I was going to be passed on to someone else? And then after giving this new person my details, he tells me he has to pass me to yet another (third person) that deals with credit cards. And I start all over again. Why didn't the first person pass me to the correct person in credit cards from the beginning? Who was this second person and why was I passed to him? Just being passed around from pillar to post without even being informed.

They show utter contempt for customers by making them wait this long, passing customers around between people. And then the line was so awful I had to repeatedly scream my details to the person multiple times before he could hear me. Or risk cutting off and getting back in a queue for another hour to talk to someone - and start the whole sh...tstorm all over again.

This has been the worst experience. Ironically they are offering a payment to existing customers to introduce new ones to the bank. You have to be kidding: I wouldn't recommend this bank if you paid me £1000 or a £million. shows utter contempt for customers to make them wait over half an hour on the phone and pass them around like this.

Poor customer service

Applied for a increase in my credit card limit.
Received 3 emails over 3 days. Replied every time and now it has gone silent. I have asked for an update but no luck.
