The blog that I have with them, from the very star and since then continuously for many, many years, is not their free plan, but the payable Personal plan.
And they cannot know that there is absolutely no commercial content of any sorts in my blog. Unless their algorithms and AI robots are incredibly dumb.
Yet, they keep bombarding me with offers to upgrade, to purchase plugins, to do this and to do that by paying them more money.
What they are doing is fishing with a net…
In my case, it has become a harassment.
It is very disappointing, considering that have paid a lot of money to them, for many, many years, for a blog which has never been created nor ever used for any pecuniary purposes.
I guess they are also fishing with a rod. And they think that they have hooked me.
The most dishonest way they are trying to push me into buying something that iIdo not need at all, is by distorting my stats !! So that I pay them more, if I want to even see them ! While my blog has ZERO commercial content.
Shame.

Getting a steady stream of upgrade prompts on a blog you've paid for and kept personal for years is genuinely wearing, and we don't want you to feel pushed like this. Two things should help right away.
You can switch off the promotional and product emails. In your account, open your email and notification preferences at wordpress.com/me/notifications/updates and turn off the update categories you don't want. On your stats: Jetpack Stats stays free for personal, non-commercial sites, with no paywall. The prompts to pay usually mean a site has been automatically classified as commercial. If that's happened to your blog by mistake, it can be corrected. You can request a re-evaluation of that classification from your site's stats dashboard, and once it's confirmed non-commercial, the paid prompts stop and your stats stay free.
