Never buy LG product

If I could go back in time, I would never buy an LG refrigerator.

Our original LG refrigerator suffered a catastrophic freezer failure. After multiple service calls, LG determined it could not be repaired. We wanted our money back at that point, but that was never an option. Instead, LG pushed us into accepting a replacement refrigerator.

Fast forward less than a year.

The replacement refrigerator has now failed with the exact same defect.

We are once again throwing away food, dealing with the inconvenience of a non-functioning refrigerator, and wasting our time navigating LG's warranty process. When I contacted LG's Presidential Liaison Team, I was told that if I wanted a refund, I would first have to start the entire repair process over again—even though we've already lived through this exact scenario once before.
That is absurd.

I'm not taking more time off work for another technician to confirm what LG already knows. I'm not accepting a second replacement only to wonder when that one will fail too.

Instead, I went out and bought a refrigerator from another manufacturer because I no longer trust LG products.

The most frustrating part isn't just the product failures—it's LG's refusal to acknowledge that two identical failures deserve a different solution than simply repeating the same warranty process.

A warranty is supposed to protect the customer. Instead, it feels like a process designed to wear customers down until they give up.

After two failed refrigerators, countless hours on the phone, service appointments, and repeated food loss, I can honestly say this has been the worst appliance purchase I've ever made.

Save yourself the headache. Buy another brand. I certainly will never purchase another LG product again.
