Over the past months, we’ve built AstraCaB into a service used by hundreds of customers in Munich, Germany.
We’ve focused on one thing: delivering a great experience — and our customers have responded with genuinely positive feedback. Many of them were happy to leave reviews on Trustpilot about their real experiences.
However, over 40 genuine customer reviews were removed from our profile, despite the fact that all of them are linked to real transactions and supported by invoices.
Some of our customers submitted appeals and provided documentation, yet their reviews were not reinstated and cases were closed without clear resolution.
After contacting support, we noticed that even more reviews were taken offline.
In addition, after analyzing the removed reviews, we also noticed a concerning pattern: a significant portion of them appear to have been written by international residents of Munich (Russians, Turkish, Arabs, Afgans), while the reviews left by German customers seem less affected. We are not drawing conclusions, but this raises questions about potential bias (discrimination) in the detection system.
We fully support the fight against fake reviews, but the current Trustpilot system generates false signals and offers no practical way to restore legitimate feedback.
Overall, this raises serious concerns about transparency, fairness, and the effectiveness of the appeal process at Trustpilot.
If no resolution is provided, we will escalate this matter further to the relevant authorities in Germany and the EU, together with other affected organizations
