Awful experience
Awful experience. They would not accept a Revolut Mastercard as this "was not a real bank" and tried to charge us 48 Euro extra per day. The lady in Sardinia Cagliari airport was incredibly rude and told us to wait for 1 hour for the manager. Would not recommend. Useless

we are sorry for the experience you describe and for the way the situation was handled at the Cagliari desk.
For the rental guarantee, Autovia requires an eligible physical credit card in the main renter’s name, suitable for the required pre-authorisation. Some Revolut cards may not meet these guarantee requirements, depending on the type of card and its characteristics. The reason, however, should always be explained clearly and professionally.
When the standard guarantee requirements cannot be met, the branch may in some cases offer an alternative full protection solution that allows the rental to proceed. This option is not mandatory and the customer is free to accept or decline it.
We are also sorry to read about the attitude you experienced and the long wait for assistance. Courtesy and clear information should always be part of the service.
