It's funny how they are able to take your money from your account immediately, but it takes 7-10 days to refund, as we were told when our accommodation was cancelled ON THE DAY OF OUR ARRIVAL without our consent. A "technical issue" with the apartment was the excuse we were given. We were offered another (inferior) apartment but made to pay cash by the owner of it. They knew we had no choice as we wouldn't have been able to find anywhere at such short notice. We did some investigation and have strong reason to believe that the original advertised apartment we paid for was never available in the first place and it was all a scam. The attitude of Booking.com when we rang them was disgraceful. No compensation offered. All we got when asking why so long for the refund was a lecture on how banking works. I would never book through them again.
