We approached Yell in the hope that they may help us with our website and marketing. The worst decision we have ever made. Yell recommended that we migrate away from our WordPress website and use Duda. This was a big mistake as we ended up losing the organic SEO that we had built over the years. Anyhow after 16 months and not ROI I have transferred our site to Duda directly. Hosting with them costs £9/month, as apposed to Yell, who charge £96.
What I wasn't aware of was that the hosting contract starts after the build of the site has been completed. I'm not sure why they were running PPC before the website was built as paid traffic was wasted once they changed the site over from WordPress. Furthermore, all PPC data was kept by Yell, so all the history of what not to do remains with them and they, at first were not going to transfer the site to us as they said it belongs to them. Eventually, they changed their minds and allowed us to transfer the site to our own Duda account.
But they're still billing us as they said that although we've been with them for 16 months, the billing for the hosting didn't kick in until month 4, so we have to continue to pay them until the 12-month hosting is up... even though we're no longer hosting with them.
What a waste of time, money and energy. We are now with totalseo.info and so far they are head and shoulders above Yell.
