Design spec for #862: docs/superpowers/specs/2026-11-06-862-override-audit-design.md.

  • Audit table of every OpenOptions field: open-only or overridable, at which level, and how an override applies.
  • OpenOptions::allow_overrides / Overridable::DEFAULTS (MaxDerivedFacts, MaxResults, and MaxIterations once Make the recursion round limit (max_iterations) configurable per query and in OpenOptions #861 adds it). A list the embedder sets replaces the defaults, and it gates query text only. A refused override is the new code API-025.
  • New :query-memory-limit N|$slot keyword, gated and not in the defaults. 0 means the same as at open level: the query must hold no state.
  • Bind slots on all limit keywords. Ungated PreparedQuery::with_* setters.
  • TxOptions { synchronous, chunk_facts } and begin_write_with; transaction_chunk_facts exposed in all 7 bindings.
  • PR split: gate, then keywords and setters, then TxOptions, then bindings. Make the recursion round limit (max_iterations) configurable per query and in OpenOptions #861 is unblocked after the gate PR.

Spec only, no code changes. Refs #862, #861.
