Summary

Adds merge_group: to the five required lanes (ci, ci-linux-native, ci-linux-kvm, ci-macos, ci-shell-installer) so a merge queue on main gets their *-success aggregators on every queue commit.

No job logic changes. Every lane already gates its jobs on github.event_name != 'pull_request' || <changes output>, and the dorny filter step runs only on pull_request, so a queue commit runs the full set, which is the behaviour docs/ci-strategy.md §5 prescribes for the queue. Concurrency groups key on github.ref; queue refs are unique per group, so nothing cancels itself.

Why

The main ruleset requires branches to be up to date, so every merge re-stales every other open PR and forces a full re-run of all five lanes (13 to 23 min on the macOS runner, up to an hour on KVM). Today's ten merges left several PRs carrying three merge-from-main commits each, and #1722 broke on one of them. A queue keeps the tested-against-current-main guarantee while batching the re-tests.

Ruleset changes to make after merge (not in this PR)

  1. Remove license/cla from the required status checks. It is a commit status the minops1 account posts on PR head shas only; queue merge commits never receive it and would time out. The CLA stays enforced on the PR, and the queue admits only PRs that already pass it.
  2. Enable the merge queue on main: squash, minimum group size 1, short wait, require the same five aggregators. Leave ci-kani-success out until it is promoted.

Effects

  • Path-skipping does not apply in the queue: a docs-only PR pays the full macOS e2e and KVM lanes once, shared across the batch.
  • minimal-review, CodeRabbit and the /revise loops run on pull_request and are unaffected.

Verification

actionlint clean on the five files. zizmor reports the same two pre-existing cache-poisoning highs main already has at ci-linux-native.yml:159 and ci-macos.yml:462; nothing new.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Chores
    • Automated checks now also run for merge-queue updates targeting the main and release branches, extending validation across Linux, macOS, and shell-installer workflows. Existing triggers remain unchanged.

A merge queue on main needs the five required aggregators to report on
every queue commit. Each lane already gates its jobs on
`github.event_name != 'pull_request' || <changes output>` and runs the
dorny filter only on pull_request, so a queue commit runs the full set,
which is what docs/ci-strategy.md section 5 prescribes for the queue.
No job logic changes.

Approved: no findings at be9ecf71ad17.

Nothing to do.

Clobber: none: git log shows the trigger and the compile fix are additive; the one prior nit (missing branches: under merge_group) was already resolved in be9ecf71.

…ost at merge

T66 (#1789) added box_addresses to SessionConfig and SandboxLauncher; #1768
and #1765 each added an initializer without it on a base that predated the
field, and their green lanes never re-ran against the merged main. The
minimald test targets no longer compile on main; this fills the field the
way every other initializer does. The merge queue this PR enables is what
catches that class of stale green before it lands.
The sibling push and pull_request triggers in all five lanes pin
branches to main and release/**; the merge_group trigger now matches
them, so a queue opened on any other branch does not run the lanes.
