…tion and decide nodes Event workflows open on the workflow canvas: What happened starts them, the palette lists every action in the catalog, an action node's settings are drawn from its params by SchemaForm with a badge for whether it asks first, Decide gets a port per option and unsure, the canvas checks the leaf rule and settings as the backend does, and Try on a sample runs the graph on a kind's sample and says what each action would do. Description
Before: the workflow canvas drew pipeline and recording workflows only. An automation's workflow (scope
event, withactionanddecidenodes) could be saved and tried over the API, but not drawn or edited in the web app. After: the canvas opens event workflows. The palette has an Actions section with every action from
GET /api/v1/automations/actions; an action node's settings are drawn from that action's params withSchemaForm(#566), with the{{variable picker, Wait first and a badge saying whether it runs on its own or asks you first. A Decide node takes its options one a line and gets one port per option plusunsure. The canvas checks what the backend would reject before saving: an unknown action, a required param left empty, a bad delay, a decide node with too few options or a reserved name, a node that isn't for automations, and the leaf rule (nothing wired after an action that reaches outside Lens or waits). Try on a sample runs the graph on a kind's sample activity and lists what each action would do.Motivation and Context
Workflow studio M11 (Studio UI), Build step 6: "Canvas: event scope with action and decide nodes". The builder's "This automation branches; edit it in the canvas" link (next PR) opens here.
